1996 White Ford Bronco Eddie Bauer on 2040-cars

Year:1996 Mileage:118
Location:

Macon, Georgia, United States

Macon, Georgia, United States

It rarely gets any better than this one.....

1996 Eddie Bauer Ford Bronco with 118k miles and 2 real owners. Carfax shows 3, but the 2nd owner had it for a month.

1996 is the most desirable year because it was the last, but also the only year to have OBD-II.

This Bronco has almost every original feature except the sound package has been upgraded to a Pioneer deck and Pioneer speakers all around.

The paint still shines brilliantly and the wheels are spotless. No pitting or curb marks.

This Bronco is equipped with the powerful 5.8 engine and E4OD transmission thats outfitted with the trailer towing package.

The inside is practically spotless. The interior has never been abused, smoked in, or encountered children/pets. Original Eddie Bauer floormats and seats are clean with no rips or tears.

The A/C blows ice and the HEAT blows hot!

Every feature works from all the windows down to the overhead temperature console. The General Grabber tires are brand new along with the brakes.

This Bronco has lived its entire life in Georgia. ABSOLUTELY NO RUST!!!!!!!!!

The Bronco has been well cared for and it shows. I have almost every single receipt of maintenance along with the ORIGINAL WINDOW STICKER!!!!!!!

The spare tire cover, running boards, cargo cover, netting, and even the RARE Eddie Bauer/Ford luggage is original and included. You dont see the luggage everyday and many people aren't aware that some last year Eddie Bauer Broncos came with the luggage. Its (1) duffle bag and (1) suit bag.

The Bronco also comes with the owner's manual and BOTH sets of original Ford keys and key fobs. The keyless entry works flawlessly along with the rear window switch from the tailgate.

The only blemishes are a chip smaller than a dime on the hood and a quarter size chip in the windshield. The last 2 pics showcase the blemishes.

Please dont hesitate to call (478) 447-2023 or email with any questions or to schedule an inspection. White is a very difficult paint color to see on a computer screen. The paint is beautiful on this Bronco. Pics dont do it justice. If you would like more pics or a pic of something specific, please just ask. You can fly into Atlanta and drive home. I'm only an hour away from the airport.

*** Reserve is extremely low for a Bronco in this condition. Please dont ask. I will not reveal the reserve. Make sure that if you bid, you intend to buy. Please have money or financing in place before placing a bid. Thanks***

Many have asked for undercarriage photos. Here are some from all sides. Bronco frame, components, suspension, etc has no rust whatsoever. Appears to not even have surface rust.

After Years Of Delays, Rear Visibility Requirements Move Closer To Reality

Fri, Jan 3 2014

Regulations that would require automakers to improve rear-view visibility on all new cars and light trucks are nearing completion after six years of delays. The U.S. Department of Transportation sent its proposed rear-visibility rules to the Obama administration for review on Christmas Day. The White House Office of Management and Budget now must finalize the regulations. The rule are intended to minimize the risk of pedestrian deaths from vehicles in reverse, a type of accident that disproportionately affects children. Already in 2014, two children have died from cars backing over them, driven in each case by the children's father. Specifics of the Transportation Department's proposal are not available during the review, but the rules are expected to compel automakers to install rear-view cameras as mandatory equipment on all new vehicles. That's what safety advocates have wanted all along. Thought they were pleased the proposed ruling had finally been issued, there was some worry Friday the final rules would omit the rear-view camera mandate. "We're encouraged, but we're also a little concerned about speculation the rear-view camera may not be in there," said Janette Fennell, the president and founder of Kids and Cars, a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting children in and around vehicles. "I'm wondering where that might be coming from." On Thursday, The Automotive News had reported the possibility the new standards could offer an alternative to rear-view cameras, such as redesigned mirrors, that improved visibility. The Office of Management and Budget typically completes its reviews of new rules in 90 days, although that can be extended. OMB officials said Friday they do not comment on pending rules. The intent of the rules is to enhance rear visibility for drivers and prevent pedestrian deaths. Approximately 200 pedestrians are backed over in the United States each year, according to estimates from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Accidents Mostly Affect Children Roughly half the victims are children younger than age five. A government analysis concluded approximately half the victims -– 95 to 112 -– could be saved with new regulations. Yet the rules have arrived at a glacial pace. President George W. Bush signed legislation that had been passed with bipartisan Congressional support in 2008. But automakers have fought the idea of adding rear-view cameras, saying it is too expensive.

Ford patents a multi-touch version of its classic keypad

Fri, Sep 9 2016

For decades, Ford has offered a keypad on the doors of their cars that would allow owners access with the right code. Amazingly, the keypad has survived almost unchanged except for a recent touch button version. A new patent from the Blue Oval shows the keypad may get a big upgrade soon. The first big change is that it looks like the keypad may move to the key fob. Although it might be possible to have it on the car itself as well, the patent only seems to focus on the key fob. In addition, the fob will now be a multi-touch pad similar to that of modern smartphones. This will allow for more diverse code entries, according to the patent's description. Instead of just a simple number code, owners could enter a code that involves swipes and keystrokes, and even simultaneous keystrokes. For instance, you could enter a code that requires swiping from 1 to 3, followed by holding 2 and 4 to unlock the car. The patent also seems to indicate that this keypad would then display unlock functions and other functions on the fob after the correct code is entered, thus making it more than just a way to unlock the car. As for the practical implications of this keypad system update, it could provide an added layer of security. If someone steals your keys, they would have to also know your access code to get into the car. Whether this would also help make the key and car harder to hack would remain to be seen, though. Another possible benefit could be the prevention of accidental lock and alarm button presses, although that likely isn't a common issue. There could be potential downsides as well. If used as an extra layer of security, the legitimate owner would have to punch in their code on the fob to get in, which would render proximity key benefits relatively useless. Moving the keypad to the fob would also mean owners couldn't get into their cars without having the key with them. We don't have any clues as to when this could become a feature, but it doesn't seem like it would be difficult to implement, so it could show up in the next few years. Ford GT to be revived, Le Mans battle upcoming

Sun, 05 Oct 2014

Ford dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1966 to 1969, scoring four consecutive wins. Wouldn't it be great if the Blue Oval could go back to France for the 50th anniversary of that performance and show it can still compete in international endurance racing? Actually, the latest rumors indicate that could be exactly the case, and the car taking that checkered flag could be another revival of the Ford GT.
As the rumblings go, Ford wants to use a new supercar to take another crack at Le Mans, after considering some other possible alternatives. Substantiating these musings are reports that a Blue Oval rep was reportedly on hand for a recent meeting about 2016 GTE-Class rules, according to Road and Track. That would put the new GT in the same racing class as the Corvette, Ferrari 458 Italia, Porsche 911 and others.
It's not all about racing, though. If you win on Sunday, you want something to be able to sell on Monday. The revived GT is reportedly still a mid-engine supercar, but the exact engine is unclear. It's possible that it could even be shown or announced at the Detroit auto show in January, according to Motor Trend.
