For sale is my 1996 Ford Bronco! Last year for the Bronco name. I purchased it in 2009. The mileage was very hard to read on the digital odometer. I was told it had 108,000 miles on it which looked to be correct. The tachometer was malfunctioning on occasion so I swapped the instrument cluster out for a salvage unit. It now states 193,xxx but this is not accurate. A carfax reported mileage was 87k in 2007. I tried to have Ford reprogram the mileage but they told me it was stored in the cluster and they could not do that. That's the story with the mileage. Although it's being sold not actual I believe the mileage to be around 120,xxx now.
When I purchased the truck, the engine had just gotten rebuilt. Work was done by Custom Motors here in Tulsa, OK. The receipt states all the bearings were not oversized and everything was put back to standard size with standard bore. The engine runs strong and sounds great! The transmission shifts through all the gears just as it should as well. I had a 3" rough country suspension lift installed shortly after I purchased it. It also has Skyjacker shocks all around as well as 33x12.50x15 Wrangler A/T. It has a locker installed in the front differential and Warn manual locking hubs in the front. I've used the four wheel drive only a handful of times. Mostly to pull boats and jet skis out of the water, it was never abused. The tires have a little bit of road noise from the tread on them but it's not nearly as bad as the M/T super swampers. We replaced the 3 piece headlights for 1 piece lights in the front. It has Sylvania Silverstar bulbs. It looks really nice. Also added a sunvisor on the roof from Summit Racing. It has 15% tint on the front windows and Limo tint on the rear window.
The fuel pump assembly was replaced a few months after I purchased the truck in 2009. We also replaced the distributor, rotor, cap, wires and plugs. The A/C compressor was also replaced last summer.
I've driven this truck daily for quite sometime. I'm confident to drive it anywhere around the country.
There are a couple rust spots on the body. One behind the driver door at the bottom and the other is in the center of the tailgate. I have pictures of both for you.

Lincoln trumpets $129M investment, 300 new jobs in Louisville for MKC
Tue, 26 Aug 2014Remember when we used to talk about how close Lincoln was to being axed and how it seemed any day now the Grim Reaper would use it as a car service back to the grave? Last time we did it was, oh, not even a month ago. What a difference 27 days makes: Ford and Lincoln are trumpeting a $129M investment in the Louisville Assembly Plant that builds the MKC.
In July the MKC was the third-best-selling Lincoln of the brand's six offerings, beat by the MKZ and - by a much smaller margin - the MKX. It has sold 2,895 units in the two months it's been on sale, which is more than half the year-to-date sales of the MKS, MKT and Navigator. It's already important, is what we're trying to say, and this is before the Chinese market gets a crack at it later this year.
The money headed to Kentucky will be joined by 300 new workers, another marker in Ford's march to create 12,000 hourly jobs in the US by next year. You can read more about it in the press release below.
Ford F-150 Raptor gets EcoBoost V6, new chassis and aluminum body [w/videos]
Mon, Jan 12 2015The Autoblog staff universally loves the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, and the truck's about to get even better. Coming in the fall of 2016 (we'd assume as a 2017 model), the next off-road-ready pickup from Ford will boast an all-new, purpose-built, high-strength steel frame and a lightweight aluminum body that saves more than 500 pounds when compared to the current Raptor. It's six inches wider overall than the regular 2015 F-150, which both makes it look awfully mean but also aids in stability when driving fast off the road, and new LED lighting elements make it stand out when the sun goes dim. Under the Raptor's muscular hood will be a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine that will make more than the current 6.2-liter V8's 411 horsepower and 434 pound-feet of torque, though we don't have exact power figures for the next-gen Raptor quite yet. Also new will be a 10-speed automatic transmission, which will replace the current six-speed unit and ought to provide appropriate ratios for both rock crawling and high-speed desert trail running. Speaking of high-speed running, what makes the Raptor tick, perhaps more than any other single component, are its custom-designed suspension bits. Redesigned, larger Fox Racing Shocks with more suspension travel and all-new terrain management technology, combined with BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 tires, are the bits and pieces that allow for Baja-style off-roading. View 14 Photos The four-wheel-drive system in the next-gen Raptor will include a Terrain Management with settings for Normal driving, Street driving, Weather mode (for rain, snow or ice), Mud and Sand, Baja mode and Rock mode. According to Ford, the Raptor's new transfer case is designed to work as both a locking unit for crawling and a full-time unit for other off-road applications. A Torsen front differential will be optional. Basically, if all of this new stuff turns out to be as good in practice as it sounds in a press release, the next F-150 Raptor will only serve to separate Ford's off-road pickup even further from its half-hearted competitors. Ford has announced five separate recalls, affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
It's not been a great couple of weeks for Ford. On October 30, the company announced a 205,000-unit recall, and yesterday, it was revealed that the Ford brand's year-over-year sales were down over 5,000 units while the company itself was down 3,000 units over through October. Now, the company has announced five separate recalls affecting 202,000 vehicles built between 2005 and 2014.
