1996 Ford Bronco 5.0 5 Speed on 2040-cars
Berwick, Maine, United States
1996 Ford Bronco
- White exterior - Tan interior in great shape, no rips in seats (front or back), fold down center console over jumper middle seat, vinyl carpets, small cracks running vertically down dash on passenger side - 144,874 miles - 5.0 (302cu) EFI V8, runs smooth, never failed to start - Rare 5 speed transmission M5OD-R2, new clutch 20k ago - New Maine state inspection, good until 03/15 Features - 4x4 works great, both 4 high and 4 low, manual locking hubs - manual door locks / windows (except rear window, which is power) - CD player, new speakers - Hot heat and cold AC This truck is clean and a blast to drive, small spots of rust starting on the rear fender arches (see picture). Underbody was cleaned and undercoated 3 months ago and was stored in a heated garage all winter. The body and interior is extremely clean, my only complaint is the front seats, which are a light blue / grey while the rest of the interior is tan. Not a huge deal to fix, I was just waiting for the right seats to come along, I've been keeping my eyes out for the tan leather Eddie Bauer edition seats as they would finish this truck up perfectly! Feel free to run the carfax, this truck is extremely clean and has never been in an accident. |

Ford Fiesta ST in startling track battle against Toyota GT86
Wed, 26 Jun 2013On the surface, there's very little that the Ford Fiesta ST and Toyota GT86 (or the Scion FR-S that is sold in the US, or the largely similar Subaru BRZ) share in common. One is a hatchback with power coming from a turbocharged engine routed to the front wheels. The other is a coupe with power coming from a naturally aspirated four-cylinder boxer engine routed to the rear wheels.
Thing is, both of them are reasonably priced performance cars aimed at a similar segment of the automotive marketplace, so a comparison isn't out of the question. It is with all of this in mind that we direct you to the video below, in which the blokes from Evo pit the two manic little machines against one another on a race track. The result? Well, it can be summed up this way: Fast versus fun.
See how the track battle goes down in the video below.
More 2015 Ford Mustang pricing information leaks [UPDATE]
Tue, 20 May 2014The big news this morning was that the 2015 Ford Mustang would start at $24,425, including its destination pricing. The big news this afternoon is, well, bigger.
Mustang6G.com has come up with what it claims is pricing info for the entire Mustang line, rather than just the V6. That means we know all about the EcoBoost and GT prices now, which, when combined with the dealer order sheets we reported on last week, gives us our clearest look yet at how the Mustang can be outfitted (we're still a bit short on pricing info for some standalone options, like paint premiums and such).
The base EcoBoost starts at $25,995, while the GT rings up at $32,925.
Tier 1 suppliers call GM the worst OEM to work with
Mon, 12 May 2014Among automakers with a big US presence, General Motors is the worst to work for, according to a new survey from Tier 1 automotive suppliers, conducted by Planning Perspectives, Inc.
The Detroit-based manufacturer, which has been under fire following the ignition switch recall and its accompanying scandal, finished behind six other automakers with big US manufacturing operations. Suppliers had issues with trust and communications, as well as intellectual property protection. GM was also the least likely to allow suppliers to raise their prices in the face of unexpected increases in material cost, all of which contributed to 55 percent of suppliers saying their relationship with GM was "poor to very poor."
GM's cross-town competitors didn't fare much better. Chrysler finished in fifth place, ahead of GM and behind Dearborn-based Ford, which was passed for third place this year by Nissan. Toyota took the top marks, while Honda captured second place.
