Up for Auction
Selling my 1995 Bronco xl 4x4
Has manual mirrors, windows, seats etc. It has electric rear window that works well from front switch or rear key. Runs good, automatic transmission shifts good, 4x4 works great and has the manual locking hubs, and shifter on floor.
Has cold a/c but the heater is bypassed (I have new heater core but did not install it)
I won this Bronco on ebay in 2004. It had 135,000 miles at that time, flew to Colorado and drove it back to Tucson AZ.
I have owned this truck for nine years, its been my daily driver and have had no major issues.
When I won this truck it was a stock xl model. Since I have owned it, some mods have been made.
here's a list of things I added:
Installed tow receiver and wiring to tow my bass boat, installed carpet kit, installed pioneer cd player and added some speakers (sounds pretty nice), As an xl model it did not come with a console I added a console made for a late model f-250 and it was a good fit, Replaced steering column so it now has tilt steering. Replaced the stock steel wheels with Ford alloy wheels and installed 32x1150 bfg tires, installed lift kit (about 4" in front and 3" in rear) Gutted out the cat and had 3" magna flow exhaust installed. Installed electric cooling fans, but will include the old fan, fan shroud and new fan clutch, I just changed to electric hoping for added horsepower. I cut a couple 4" holes in the front bumper and added round amber led fog lights, added chrome brush buster, added nerf bars, added a shift kit so it would shift firm, added the chrome fender flares, added a over head gun rack with the visor's mounted to it, added a first aid kit, As an xl model it had vinyl seats, I replaced the back seat with a cloth seat, the 2 front seats are vinyl with some old seat cover's, all this was done years ago so nothing has been done recently.
Exterior:
white with some clear coat peeling, has some dents that have been there since I bought it, the driver door is the worst of it. This truck was originally owned by the sheriffs department in Colorado and you can still see where they peeled the badges with a razor blade on both sides and the hood, there is also small dents above the doors where the light bar was mounted.
Overall its a good truck for its age and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere.
$500.00 deposit due at close of auction to hold it. If you get here and decide not to take it, I'll refund the deposit, I can hold it for you for a month or so, but if you don't show to pick it up you will forfeit the deposit and it will be relisted.
I WILL BE HAPPY TO MEET THE NEW OWNER AT THE TUCSON INTL. AIRPORT

2015 Ford F-150 gets Power Wheels treatment [w/video]
Thu, 26 Jun 2014With the introduction of its forthcoming 2015 F-150, Ford is breaking with convention by shifting from steel-intensive construction to aluminum. But what if it weren't made of metal altogether? What if it were made of plastic instead, and packed an electric motor instead of an internal-combustion engine?
Feast your eyes, boys and girls, on the new Power Wheels F-150. Built by Fisher-Price and licensed by Ford, the third-generation ride-on toy started development nine months before the full-size version debuted at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, and is hitting sidewalks and driveways across the country this September.
The Power Wheels F-150 carries a sticker price of $349.99, and there's a special version at Toys R Us with LED headlamps (just like the real F-150) for an extra $10.
Ford finds flex-fuel engine design plays big role in emissions output
Mon, Jan 6 2014How bad is ethanol for your engine? There's been a lot of debate on this issue as the US considers upping the biofuel content in the national gasoline supply from 10 percent (E10) to 15 percent (E15). The ethanol industry and some scientists say higher ethanol blends show no "meaningful differences" in new engines while the oil industry says ethanol creates health risks. Researchers working at the Ford Research and Innovation Center decided to take a closer look at how a wide range of gas-ethanol blends - E0, E10, E20, E30, E40, E55 and E80 - affected the emissions coming out of a flex-fuel 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis. To see the full report, printed in the journal Environmental Science & Technology, requires payment, but there is an abstract and Green Car Congress has some more details. The gist is that, "with increasing ethanol content in the fuel, the tailpipe emissions of ethanol, acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, methane, and ammonia increased." At least NOx and NMHC emissions decreased. The researchers say that the effects are due to the fuel and "are expected for all FFVs," but that the way that a manufacturer calibrates the engine will affect NOx, THC, and NMOG emissions. It's this last bit that's important, since the researchers found, "Higher ethanol content in gasoline affects several fundamental fuel properties that can impact emissions. ... These changes can have positive or negative effects that can depend on engine design, hardware, and control strategy. In addition to direct emissions impacts, higher ethanol content fuel can also provide more efficient combustion and overall engine operation under part-load conditions and under knock-limited higher-load conditions." So, as we head towards more ethanol in our fuel supply (maybe), manufacturers are going to need to learn how to burn it most efficiently.
