1979 Ford Bronco. on 2040-cars
Fort Collins, Colorado, United States
I bought as a project and am selling as a project. Runs and drives. Currently I cannot figure out the power steering. It burps the fluid out when you shut the engine off. It still works but whines. I've replaced the power steering pump, removed all of the lines and cleared them, the only thing that is left is the gear box. Has new fuel pump and filter. Crb has been cleaned. Has Edlebrock intake. Holley Carb. 400, 4 speed. Newer exhaust. Headers. Sounds really good. Rust in the usual spots. 9 inch rear, solid front (not sure what.) Front seats are out of a newer bronco, buckets. Rear seat is original, and like new. Dash has some aftermarket switches cut into it, have replacement dash for it, not installed. Main reasons I'm selling it is A. I'm not a Ford guy. Thought I would like it but I've completely lost interest. It just sits in my driveway. B. I live in Larimer county which requires passing emissions. This truck was equipped with a smog pump and catalytic converters from the factory, it no longer has those and I'm not going to spend the money to get them reinstalled for emissions. It would be a great truck for someone that loves them, I just don't. Call for any other questions. I have had it for a few months so I do know a bit about it. Motivated seller. OBO 970-988-7618 |

Ford vandalizes the SEMA Show floor with 2014 Transit Connect
Tue, 05 Nov 2013The Ford booth here at SEMA is practically a 1970s throwback with all these customized vans sitting front and center. And we're completely fine with that. Take the black and yellow (black and yellow, black and yellow) 2014 Transit Connect from Mobsteel above. It's got a great stance, sits on steel wheels and has a pretty cool paint job and graphics package to boot.
Of course, that's not the only van you can see at the Ford booth. In fact, there are 10 Transit Connect vans on display from Ford here at SEMA, and you can see them all in our live gallery of high-res images above. Then, if you want to know more about each specific model, feel free to scroll down to read all about these vans in the official press release from Ford.
Rolling footage of the 2015 Ford Mustang hits YouTube [w/video]
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Just in time for the holidays: Ford took the 2015 Mustang to Route 66 to cook up rolling footage, and we've been given some of the leftovers ahead of the meal. There are no burnouts, no donuts, no revving, and thankfully, no music. It's just two minutes and 26 seconds of the new pony car running free in the desert.
So in case you needed more visualizing help, the video below will help you start imagining how you'll look in your 2014 Christmas present to yourself...
Ford's Mulally now said to be in lead for Microsoft CEO job
Sun, 29 Sep 2013There have been rumors that Ford CEO Alan Mulally could assume the top job over at Microsoft, whose CEO, Steve Ballmer, will retire within the year. Mulally hasn't come out and said that he's considering moving to Microsoft after (or before) his contract with Ford through 2014 ends, but sources in the know say he's the front-runner to become the tech giant's CEO and has opened up to the idea more in recent weeks, AllThingsD reports.
Mulally is no stranger to Washington, where Microsoft is located, having worked in the state for Seattle-based Boeing Commercial Airplanes as CEO years ago. He also recently was an adviser to Ballmer in an effort to realign the company's management structure to help it become more competitive in a fast-changing computer hardware and software market. And when Ford developed its Sync digital interface, it tapped Microsoft to provide the operating system, Microsoft Auto. Perhaps the least crucial connection - but nonetheless an important one - is that Mulally still owns a house in the Seattle area, and it's been said he wants to return there, according to AllThingsD.
A main challenge Microsoft's next CEO will face is how to manage the company's numerous, fractured operations and, eventually, streamline them. But even on this front, Mulally has experience; after all, it was he who ushered in an era of global Ford vehicles, after the automaker had become complacent developing and selling vehicles by region leading up to the economic recession of 2008-2009.
