THIS IS A 1976 FORD BRONCO, FULL TOP, 302 ENGINE, AUTOMATIC, POWER STEERING, POWER BRAKES.  Its basically original except looks like one repaint and in need of another. If I can get enough pictures to download they will show the location and extent of rust---in my opinion, considering age of this truck & amount of rust found on most of them---this one is not bad. If you have questions about any specific area write me and I'll email more pix.To try to identify in the pix the areas that have some rust, I'll tell you where to look: Front edge of hood, rusted underneath but not on top. Back edge of top roof rail. Tailgate, some bubbles over "FORD". Passenger side, at seam at top of rear quarter. Inside, around bottom of wheel wells at floorboards. The chrome is dented or finish not up to par at bottom of front windshield, around left taillight, and trailing edge of drivers door. The rear seat is mounted on timbers for easy removal. The seats are all very good. I am the 3rd owner of this truck. The one I got it from bought it in 1991 with 13000 miles on it. He had it in storage for a number of years and said the 43000 miles on it now are original, but in Florida we must say "true mileage unknown", so that's the way it will be. I got it in 2003 and have had it in storage ever since, I always intended to restore it but things were just never right to do so, and now at 80, I'm just too old to try.  It will start and run O.K. but will not idle because carb needs adjusting and needs idle spring. The rear part of ignition switch went bad, I got a new one but haven't been able to re-install it, so have to start it with 2 wires run from switch. It has original wheels, wheel covers, and I think maybe original tires.  They look good and hold air, but I'm sure they are badly dry-rotted. The dash pad is cracked, but I have a new one in box never installed.  I also have most of the components for an air Conditioner taken from another Bronco which I will include (as-is). And I have some other miscellaneous parts which I'll throw in. The transmission worked fine when I got it, but I did notice a spot of fluid under it, so the seals might be dried up. All-In-All, I think with some minor repairs this truck would be a good daily driver, or with the minor rust it has it would be a good one for a total restoration. Forgot to mention, all the floors are solid.

Ford dissects the heart of the 2015 Mustang, its engine range

Thu, 05 Dec 2013

Happy Mustang Day. Are you tired of hearing about the 2015 Ford Mustang yet? No? Good, here's a bunch of mechanical data on Ford's sixth-gen muscle car, along with cutaways of the GT's 5.0-liter V8 and the new 2.3-liter, EcoBoost four-cylinder shown above. We also have a smattering of info on the Stang's updated transmissions and an exploded-parts-diagram view of its all-new independent rear suspension.
Ford is set to make waves offering the Mustang with a turbo for the firs time since the small-volume SVO of the 1980s. Displacing 2.3 liters, the engine's twin-scroll turbo should help the four-cylinder turn out a projected 305 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque, while also returning the best fuel economy in the Mustang's engine lineup. As we said in our Deep Dive, the EcoBoost will be slotted in as a premium engine, above the 3.7-liter V6 but below the 5.0-liter V8.
Speaking of that high-revving eight-cylinder, it's receiving a new cylinder head with high-flow ports. The intake and exhaust valves are larger and the cams have been replaced, among other tweaks. It should rev even higher thanks to a rebalanced crankshaft and forged connecting rods. Ford is still claiming a projected 420 hp and 390 lb-ft, although as many of the changes for the 2015's V8 come from the 2013 Boss 302, we're going to assume there's some sandbagging at work.

The List #0178: Attend Rally School

Tue, Apr 7 2015

Jessi and Patrick attend Team O'Neil Rally School in Dalton, NH, to learn how to shred in the snow. Veteran instructor and school founder Tim O'Neil demonstrates left-foot braking, slalom techniques, turning, proper ways to blip the throttle and more in this episode. They get behind the wheel of modern Ford Fiestas with front-wheel drive and a vintage Audi Quattro with all-wheel drive. They catch on quickly, and O'Neil tells Patrick: "Tell your grandchildren you are a rally driver." Watch as our hosts check "attend rally school" off their list. Have an RSS feed?
