Up for auction is my father and I's 1975 Ford Bronco equipped with the "Ranger" package. This Bronco is in exceptional shape. It runs and drives very very well. I have owned and been associated with quite a few Bronco's in my day and I have to say that this Bronco by far drives the best of all of them. It is truly a turn key vehicle. It drives like a luxury car. Very smooth and responsive. I would take this on a long distance trip without hesitation. I will describe the vehicle to the best of my ability.

This Bronco was bought and sold in Boise Idaho. It has been here it's whole life. It has had 2 owners. It has had 1 paint job in the mid eighties. painted the same color as original. The truck has never been wrecked and outside of some surface rust on the body, the truck is free of rust. This means that the rockers, floors, tunnel, wheel wells,"A" pillars, etc are all free of rust. The rust is limited to pitting in a few of the seems of the outside of the body. Those of you who know theses broncos know that this is somewhat rare to see. These things are known for being rust buckets. So when you find one free of rust and an automatic with all the goodies, you know you have found a good one. The interior is all original with the exception of high back buckets that were put in some 15 years ago. All of the seats were covered the same and they match very well.

The truck continues to have its original drive train. Everything works very well. The motor runs great with no smoking or signs of wear. The c4 automatic trans shifts and drives the truck great. Power brakes work very well and the power steering turns the truck nicely. This truck is Very easy to drive. All of the suspension is original to the truck and drives straight down the road. The tires are 5 years old on this truck. They have another 5 years left in them and they are worn very evenly on all four corners, which speaks of how well aligned the truck is.

The truck is equipped with a Dana 44 front end and the 4wd work well in the truck. The underneath of the truck has the normal road dirt on it but nothing out of the ordinary. The truck has dual exhaust that sounds great when driving down the road.

The truck additionally has electric wipers and is equipped with an intermittent wiper module that makes the wipers easier to use of course. The broncos gauges and various dials etc work very well. The heater gets the truck very warm inside and adjusts well to lower temps as you need it. Defrost works well to. The bronco is equipped with a center console that is very functional and useful to the driver. Inside the glove compartment is the original ID tag that has all of the truck "as built" info to it. The truck remains original to the build plate of the truck.   I provided a picture of the tag and will decode if you need info. All interior lighting works well to. Overall the interior is in very nice shape with no visible rips or tears to the carpet or upholstery. For being mostly original it is nice. The top even has a descent headliner in it. Helps keep the noise down. The truck is also equipped with a CD player and some nice descent speakers in the front and back. The stereo also will play MP3.

As mentioned before the truck has had one paint job on it in the mid eighties. It was painted the same color as original. The color is ford Tangerine. The paint is quite nice for being 20 plus years old. All of the ranger trim on the body is quite nice, very good driver quality. The rear fender flares were done with the last paint job. The idea was to put bigger tires on the truck as most everyone does. The truck also has the dealer optioned roof rack which ads some class to this Bronco in my opinion. All of the panels for the most part are nice and straight with the little bit of panel waver here and there. Overall a very straight truck as you can see in the pictures.

An interesting bit of info about the truck. It has been said that the top has only been off of the truck 3 times in its life. twice by the original owner and once buy the current. The top has not been off of the truck since 1993 best we can guess. The top area of the body is nice and has preserved very well where the top and body meet. When you drive the truck you can tell that the top is mounted quite securely. Overall the body is very nice. All of the weather stripping is in nice shape and the doors open and close very nicely. No road noise when you drive down the road with the exception of the back glass if you don't shut the lift gate completely securely. Again, very comfortable to drive.

Overall, this 75 Bronco well optioned with the "Ranger" package is a very nice functional truck. Given the condition of the truck with its 302 and automatic transmission add to that power brakes and power steering, I don't think someone could go wrong. This truck still has many years of life left in her and we would love it to go to a good home with an owner that appreciates the rare original condition of this truck. I would say that this is a great truck to restore but it is really very very nice the way that it is. Up to the new owner to decide that, but rest assured the truck is a great one at this point as well. Please bid with confidence at the quality of vehicle you will get for your money.

Now for the stipulation stuff. Please bid if you plan on following thru with your commitment. This truck will be listed in other areas so I do reserve the right to sell elsewhere and end the auction early. Please feel free to ask all the questions that you need to and I will get you anything I can to keep you at ease with your bid. Happy Bidding!!!!

Latest Forza Motorsport 5 car pack leaves us scratching our head (in a good way) [w/video]

Wed, Jul 2 2014

As we scrolled down the roster of the latest car pack for Forza Motorsport 5, the Hot Wheels Car Pack, our expression became bemused over the strange mix of vehicles that we now have at our disposal. This is quite unlike any of the other sets of DLC Turn 10 Studios has offered. Sure, there are the typical headliner cars – the Lamborghini Veneno and 2015 Audi S3 – that will appeal to the mainstream racing fan or auto enthusiast. But this latest car pack is so jammed full of nuggets of automotive weirdness that it's hard not to get excited. The Hot Wheels pack has no shortage of racers, with a particular focus on historical offerings. A 1939 Auto Union Type D covers the pre-war era of Formula One, while a 1967 Lotus 49 and a 1952 Ferrari 375 represent post-war racing. For a modern twist, a Mazda USF2000 car slots in below the Indy Lights car from the Nurburgring booster pack. From here, things get vintage and weird. There are a pair of delightfully offbeat coupes, in the form of a 1974 Toyota Celica GT and a 1973 Ford XB Falcon GT (here's hoping we get a vintage Holden Monaro in the future). Those two are joined by a 1956 Ford F-100, which your author already plans on converting into a dragster with vinyl flames down the side (because that's what all vintage pickups should be). The new ride we're most excited about, though, is the 1983 GMC Vandura G-1500. Yes, that's the van from The A-Team, and we're sure it will prove to be an excellent canvas for the artists of FM5 to cover with airbrushed, fire-breathing unicorns and mystical, gray-haired wizards (or just poorly painted letters that read "Free Candy"). This latest car pack is the final monthly car pack for FM5, although Turn 10 is quick to point out that while the monthly updates are over, there will still be new batches of cars made available to gamers. As for the Hot Wheels pack, it's available now on Xbox Live for $9.99. Scroll down for the press release from Turn 10 Studios, as well as a video of the newest additions to Forza Motorsport 5's vehicle roster. Forza Motorsport 5 Hot Wheels Car Pack Now Available Turn 10 Studios is bringing the Hot Wheels® Car Pack to "Forza Motorsport 5," available for download today. The pack features a collection of vehicles built from the ground up for the new generation that car fans can collect and customize while putting their virtual driving skills to the test.

Ford Mustang challenges Lamborghini in amazing drift battle

Fri, Dec 18 2015

Engines scream and tires billow with smoke as Vaughn Gittin Jr. and Daigo Saito stage a drift battle through an abandoned Japanese resort that looks like a Russian village in this stunning clip. The high-performance ballet of these amazing machines sliding around makes this one of the best videos of the year. To fight this duel, Gittin straps into his 550-horsepower Ford Mustang, and Saito meets the pony car's challenge with a drift-prepped Lamborghini Murcielago. The drivers hit a curving road and show expert car control as the men slide these very different vehicles just inches from each other. Eventually, night descends, and they add some fire to the scene to give the stunts a more apocalyptic look. The production values for this short clip are phenomenal, and the editing makes the viewer feel right in the middle of the action. If you want to get behind the scenes of this impressive display of drifting, Speedhunters did a great job capturing the event in photos. Related Video:

Autoblog editors choose their favorite racecars of all time

Thu, Feb 26 2015

If you like cars, there is a good chance that you like racecars. There's something about the science and the art of going faster, of competition, of achievement, that accelerates the hearts of enthusiasts. It doesn't matter the series, the team or the manufacturer – there's something about racing that stirs emotions and lifts spirits. It's that way with many of you, and it's that way with our editors. With that in mind, we offer a list of our favorite racecars of all time. Of course, we'd like to hear some of yours in the comment section below. 1970 Porsche 917 Compared to some of the obscure choices by my colleagues, I feel like the Porsche 917 is almost so obvious a pick as to not be worth mentioning. Still, when coming up with my answer, my mind invariably went back to this classic racer – specifically in its blue-and-orange Gulf livery – while watching Le Mans on DVD and later Blu Ray with my dad. Long, low and curvaceous, few vehicles have ever looked sexier lapping a track than the 917. More than just a pretty face, this beauty had speed, too, thanks to several tunes of flat-12 engines over the course of its racing life. In the early '70s, Porsche was a dominant force throughout sports-car competition, and the 917 (shown above at the 1970 24 Hours of Daytona) was the tip of that spear, including back-to-back victories in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Largely without dialogue or really much of a traditional plot, Le Mans is like a tone poem of racing goodness. While the 917's importance to motorsports history is undoubtedly fascinating, it's still this cinematic depiction of the Porsche racer that draws me in most, especially with the volume cranked. – Chris Bruce Associate Editor 1964 Mini Cooper S How could everyone not be selecting the 1964 Mini Cooper S piloted by Paddy Hopkirk and Henry Liddon? That car, 33 EJB, took the first of British Motor Corporation's four Monte Carlo Rally wins (it should have been five, but French judges got the British Minis [and Fords] disqualified on a technicality regarding headlights... which its own car, the winning DS, was also in violation of). The tiny red car and its white roof beat out Ford Falcons, Mercedes-Benz 300SEs and scores of Volvos, Volkswagens and Saabs. This, along with the several years of dominance that followed, cemented the idea that not only could the tiny, two-tone Mini be a real performance vehicle, but that family-friendly city cars in general could be fun.
