1973 Ford Bronco Half-cab,uncut,unrestored,auto,v8,nice Solid Daily Driver!!! on 2040-cars
Cleveland, Mississippi, United States
You are bidding on a Very Nice 1973 Uncut Ford Bronco Half-Cab V8 Automatic. This is a sweet little southern truck that has been garaged and driven regularly most of its life. The Bronco is in amazing shape and being from the south is very solid and has no issues of rust and rot. This truck truly drives like a dream and everything functions properly including gauges, lights, and signals. The transmission has less than 1000 miles on it. The bronco received a great paint job about 4 years ago. Since has a few very small chips and little hairline places, nothing major. In 2006 the motor was rebuilt when the odometer read 23k miles, now the truck reads 38k. As we all know the body has probably 138k. In the past 2 months this truck received a small makeover. We took the stock suspension completely out of the Bronco. Steam cleaned and and got the undercarriage down to the metal. Then repainted the complete undercarriage with high quality rust preventative treatment front to back. Next all of the fluid in the front,rear-end were flushed and changed. Then A complete Pro-Comp 2 1/2 Inch Suspension lift was installed including, block, springs, all new shocks and U-bolts. After that was completed a very nice set of wheels and 31x10.50 15's were added. This really made the truck stand up. All of the interior and dash is in really nice shape, just a little normal wear on the driver side from age. Like I said, this truck is Un-restored because it did not need a restoration. This has been a locally owned and driven Bronco all of its life. This will make someone a very very nice Bronco for a long time to come. You can drive this bronco home no matter where you live!! The bronco does have Pwr steering, but does not have pwr Disc brakes. The Bronco stops completely perfect and brakes have been re-done within the year. Don't let this one get away. If you have any questions at all please feel free to call 662-721-5009 or 662-719-3694 any time. We will be glad to assist you in any way to make your buying experience as good as possible.

2014 Ford Fiesta gets fuel economy bump to 41 mpg
Fri, 07 Jun 2013The 2014 Ford Fiesta is in showrooms now with refreshed styling and new performance ST model, but it's what isn't yet available that should help the Fiesta stand out from the growing crowd of subcompacts. Aside from the new 1.0-liter EcoBoost model coming later this year, Ford recently told us that a new Fiesta SFE trim level is on the way that should put the updated Fiesta at the top of its class for fuel economy.
The new Fiesta SFE will hit an estimated 41 miles per gallon on the highway when equipped with the six-speed automatic transmission. The current listing on fueleconomy.gov shows the 2014 Fiesta getting up to 29 mpg city and 39 highway, but the SFE will get minor aero tuning and a recalibrated engine controller to help bump the highway figure past rivals like the Chevrolet Sonic and Nissan Versa - both of which top out at 40-mpg highway. There's still no word as to when the small 1.0-liter EcoBoost will show in the US, but Ford has indicated that engine's fuel economy isn't expected to be released until October.
Ford dinged by OSHA for asbestos at Buffalo plant
Sat, 20 Jul 2013Ford has come under fire from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for violations regarding asbestos exposure in a company metal stamping plant in Buffalo, NY. OSHA has cited Ford for eight violations in total, according to an Automotive News report, and faces fines of up to $41,800. 537 workers are employed at the stamping facility.
The violations include a pipefitter at the facility being exposed to asbestos-containing material while working on a steam line, other workers exposed to the material without respiratory protection and work areas that were not designed to limited the number of workers in contact with asbestos. Further, areas in which asbestos was present were not properly restricted, and levels of asbestos in the air were not monitored.
According to an unnamed Ford spokesperson in the AN report, the company feels that the OSHA citation is erroneous saying, "We have fully cooperated with the local OSHA officials and we don't believe the citations are warranted." Ford also maintains that it will work with the authorities to resolve the issue.
Mustang, Camaro, Challenger gallop onto USPS pony car postage stamp set
Tue, Jul 19 2022Some of America's most iconic cars are about to be immortalized on postage stamps. A new set by the U.S. Postal Service will celebrate the the golden era of pony cars, featuring five classic examples of Detroit iron. Each one is beautifully illustrated in oil-on-canvas style, with subjects in motion and sunlight glinting off the chrome, and would add a nice touch to any first-class letter. The pony car segment was all about (relatively) small, sporty alternatives to the full-size land yachts of the 1960s. They typically came equipped with 6-cylinder engines or small-block V8s. The category was named after the Ford Mustang, hence the name. Some, though, argue that the Plymouth Barracuda, which was launched a couple of weeks before the Mustang, is the first. Luckily, the Falcon-based Mustang's distinct styling generated a sales sensation, or we might be calling them fish cars. Appropriately, one of the featured cars is a Mustang. But it's not just any Mustang. The 1969 Boss 302, seen here resplendent in Bright Yellow, was created for the hotly-contested SCCA Trans-Am racing series. One of its main rivals would have been the 1969 Chevy Camaro Z/28, also created specifically for the series, and is included in the set in Fathom Green. Representing Auburn Hills in the set is a 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T in Plum Crazy, while Southfield's American Motors gets a nod with an AMC Javelin in Big Bad Orange. The Mustang's platform cousin, a 1967 Mercury Cougar XR-7, is portrayed in a gorgeous Burgundy Poly that almost looks incomplete without Neko Case on the hood. It's not the first time the USPS has honored America's rich car culture on its stamps. In 2013, it issues a series of muscle car stamps with the help of Richard Petty. That set featured a 1966 Pontiac GTO, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1970 Chevelle SS, 1970 Plymouth Hemi ’Cuda and, of course, a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona. Another set in 2016 featured classic pickup trucks. Going further back, a 2008 release had chroed and finned automobiles of the 1950s and a 2005 release featured sporty American cars of the same era. The pony car stamps will debut on August 25 at the Great American Stamp Show in Sacramento, California in partnership with the American Philatelic Society. The public is free to attend the dedication ceremony, but you must RSVP first. After that, they will be available at local post offices and on line at the USPS store.
