1968 Ford Bronco. Had a frame off restoration around 12 years ago. Truck was stripped to the metal and epoxy primed. 289 V8 with Edelbrock Performer 289 cam, intake, timing chain kit, Edelbrock Performer 500CFM carb. High flow water pump, Be Cool aluminum radiator. C4 Trans and transfer case were rebuilt during the restoration. Has a stock 73 Bronco automatic steering column. The paint is decent but not perfect. There are chips and a few cracks(please see below pics and I will point out the flaws) It has not been driven much since the restoration, but when it has it was mostly off road. The inside floor and bed sides, and the underside of the fenders have been Linexed. All the glass, window tracks, window & door seals, and light lenses have been replaced. Heater box resealed. Rebuilt door hinges. Centec wiring harness, power steering, power front disc brakes, extended braded steel lines between axle and body, 2 1/2" suspension lift with Wild horses 11 pack rear leafs and progressive front springs. Ball joints & u joints, front & rear drive shaft and front axle bushings(suspension &body) are all replaced. Front has 7 degree camber bushings, which put the camber back into factory spec. Ford 9" rear end, Dana 44 front, both were rebuilt during restoration, and had limited slip units installed. Front and rear pre runner style bumpers with Hella lights on front. I believe they came from Tom's. 32" BFG's, American Racing Wheels, Warn hubs, 24 gallon gas tank, satellite radio, runs like a top, and is an absolute beast off road.

Below are pics of the car, and then flaws after that. The red on the diff pumpkin and back of the tank is not rust, it's red mud from Wheeler Geological Area. It's a nice Bronco, but it's not a trailer queen or a concours restoration. It was built to 4 wheel and that's what was done with it. Any question will be routed to my associate handling the sale. The truck has a Colorado title, and is currently in Pasadena California, where an appointment can be set up for a viewing. It is being offered at 32,500 with offers being considered. $1000 deposit required upon commitment to buy, with remainder due before release of vehicle by cash or cashier's check. All cashier's checks will have to be verified as good before release of vehicle.

And now the paint, The drivers door has cracks by the handle and mirror, the hood on the front corners, the left side of the hood just behind the corner, chip on right fender, chip on right door lock, and chip by right tail light.

Ford dealer gives James Robertson new 2015 Taurus

Fri, Feb 6 2015

James Robertson, the 56-year-old Detroit native famous for walking 21 miles to work each day for the last 10 years, is behind the wheel again thanks to a gift from a Ford dealer. Robertson became an Internet sensation when the story about his daily ordeal came to light, and a GoFundMe campaign initially hoped to raise $5,000 to buy him a new ride. As of this writing, it has reached over $300,000. He didn't have to dip into any of that money to buy the new car, though. According to The Detroit Free Press, Suburban Ford of Sterling Heights, MI, heard about Robertson's story of never being late to work and having perfect attendance. The dealer is donating a fully loaded, red 2015 Taurus to him. It's not one of our choices, but certainly nothing to sneeze at. Robertson started walking to work in 2005 when his Honda broke down. According to the GoFundMe page, his job is about 23 miles away, but thanks to Detroit's poor bus network, he covers about 21 miles of that round-trip trek on foot each day. Ford GT gets sexy shape and EcoBoost power [w/videos]

Mon, Jan 12 2015

American automakers make vehicles of all shapes and sizes, but the one thing they almost invariably share in common is their front-engine layout. Niche offerings from the likes of SSC, Saleen and Vector (and the almost anecdotal Pontiac Fiero) aside, the most notable exception has been the Ford GT. And now it's back. Launched on the floor of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show, the new Ford GT picks up where the last one left off the better part of a decade ago – similarly taking its cues from the original, Le Mans-winning GT40, but in a less retro, more modern form. Instead of the atmospheric V8 in the original or the supercharged one in the retro revival, the new GT packs a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 nestled in the middle of its wheelbase and driving "more than 600 horsepower" to the rear wheels. Although Ford hasn't revealed the specific output or performance figures, it says the engine – derived from its Daytona Prototype unit and mated to a seven-speed DCT – is its most powerful production EcoBoost ever. Fortunately it's got carbon-ceramic brakes to keep it all in check, packed into 20-inch wheels wearing Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 rubber. The discs aren't all that's made from carbon on the new Ford GT, though: it's built around a carbon monocoque with structural carbon-fiber body panels, but with aluminum sub-frames front and back. Ford designed the new GT with a narrower canopy than its predecessors, cutting the frontal aerodynamic profile and tapering towards the back. It's also equipped with active aero elements including an active rear wing. Upwards swinging doors ought to make ingress and egress easier to and from the cockpit that's fitted with fixed seats, adjustable pedals and F1-style steering wheel and a fully digital instrument cluster. The new GT is set to enter production next year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the GT40's famous 1-2-3 finish at the 1966 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. By the time it does, we're sure Ford will let us know just how fast America's newest supercar will be.

Ford Australia pulls the ol' talking car prank

Mon, 07 Apr 2014

Siri from Apple has proven that being able to talk to your technology doesn't always work perfectly. But what if it could eventually go far enough to give a personality to inanimate objects like our cars? Ford took just this path to comedic effect by playing a prank on many unsuspecting Australians, in a new commercial for its EcoSport compact crossover.
The Aussies seem very nonchalant about having a random parked car talk to them, and they seem surprisingly game when it asks them to get in, call a celebrity and tell a joke. (We're guessing there are some hilarious outtakes, too.) Scroll down to watch some folks from Down Under have a conversation with Ford's CUV.
