THIS 1967 BRONCO HAS BEEN MY BABY SINCE 4-14-2000. WHEN I BOUGHT IT, IT HAD DOORS AND A TOP SO I BUILT IT LIKE I WANTED AND NEVER THOUGHT TO PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THE VIN PLATE TILL I THOUGHT ABOUT SELLING IT 2 WEEKS AGO. THATS WHEN I FOUND OUT THAT IT IS, IN FACT, A VERY RARE FACTORY V8 ROADSTER! THE BRONCO ITSELF IS VERY SOLID WITH MINIMAL RUST. SHOWN IN THE PICTUES ARE THE 2 RUST SPOTS UNDER THE HOOD IN THE TYPICAL BRONCO PLACES. THE TUB AND THE FLOOR PANS ARE SOLID. THE 302 HAD BEEN SWAPPED FOR THE ORIGINAL 289 WHEN I BOUGHT IT IN 2000. THE 1969 302 WAS FRESHLY BUILT WHEN I BOUGHT THE BRONCO IN 2000. I HAVE PUT 8000 MILES ON IT SINCE THEN. I ADDED A HIGH RISE INTAKE AND A 4BBL HOLLEY CARB. THE MOTOR IS VERY STRONG! I JUST HAD A COMPLETE BRAKE JOB DONE WITH EVERYTHING NEW PUT ON FROM THE WHEEL CYLINDERS TO THE MASTER CYLINDER. IT STOPS VERY GOOD FOR MANUAL DRUM BRAKES. THE ORIGINAL FRONT AND REAR SWEATS HAVE BEEN RECENTLY UPHOLSTERED. THE TOP IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. EVERYTHING ABOUT THE DRIVETRAIN IS STILL FACTORY EXCEPT FOR THE MOTOR. THE 32 INCH BFG ALL TERRAINS ARE LIKE NEW. THE BRONCO IS A BLAST TO DRIVE! IT IS VERY STRONG, SHIFTS SMOOTH, AND STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD. MECHANICALLY EVERYTHING WORKS FINE FROM THE HEATER TO THE BLINKERS. THE BRONCO HAS NOT SEEN MUD SINCE I HAVE OWNED IT BUT THE 4X4 WORKS FINE. I PUT IT THROUGHT THE RANGES EVERY NOW AND THEN TO KEEP IT LIMBER. AS YOU CAN SEE FROM THE PICTURES I DID EVERYTHING I COULD TO MAKE SURE THIS BRONCO IS WHAT IM CLAIMMING IT TO BE. NOTICE THE ORIGINAL HARBOR BLUE PAINT BEHIND THE VIN PLATE ON THE KICK PANEL. I ALSO FOUND THE "HIDDEN VIN" ON THE FRAME RAIL. EVERYTHING MATCHES THE TITLE. THE PAINT JOB WAS DONE BY MAACO ABOUT 8 YEARS AGO AND IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THERE WERE ONLY 199 FACTORY V8 ROADSTERS PRODUCED IN 1967. HOW MANY STILL EXIST? I HAVE NO IDEA BUT IT CANT BE MANY. RESTORE IT TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION AND THERE IS ALOT OF GREAT STUFF HERE TO SELL. KEEP IT AS IT IS AND IT IS STILL A VERY SOLID BRONCO. EITHER WAY ITS VERY RARE! I JUST CANT BELIEVE I OWNED IT THIS LONG AND NEVER REALIZED HOW SPECIAL MY BRONCO IS! I WANT TO APPOIGIZE UP FRONT TO THE BRONCO PUREISTS OUT THERE. I WAS BARELY 20 WHEN I BOUGHT THIS BRONCO, IF I THOUGHT IT LOOKED GOOD I PUT IT ON. PAYPAL IS ACCEPTED FOR THE DEPOSIT.

PS- I JUST NOTICED WHAT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD BE A CRACK OR DENT IN THE BACK SHOT OF THE BRONCO ON THE ROOF ABOVE THE LIFT GATE. JUST TO CLEAR IT UP IF THERE IS ANY QUESTION THAT MUST HAVE BEEN A PEICE OF PINE STRAW STUCK IN THE RAIN GUARD WHEN I TOOK THE PICS.

How did Ford keep the GT a secret before Detroit?

Mon, Feb 2 2015

True secrecy is a rarity in the automotive industry. Sure, companies try to keep their future projects under wraps all of the time, but usually a spy shot or blurry development photo leaks out. The complete lack of any hard details before its unveiling likely helped make the Ford GT one of the biggest stars of the 2015 Detroit Auto Show. Not only was it the favorite of Autoblog's editors, but the supercar scored a prestigious EyesOn Design Award, too. Rumors about the vehicle had circulated for weeks before the show, but no one really knew much about the GT until it rolled onto the stage for Ford's press conference in Joe Louis Arena. Amazingly, the Blue Oval kept things mostly a secret during the car's 14- month gestation period prior to its debut. According to Automotive News, the GT project began in late 2013 by a skunk works team, including six designers, that guided the supercar along from birth until the unveiling. Ford kept things clandestine by locking the vehicle in a basement storage room, and only the group members got a key to the lock. Much of the development was also done at night to further keep the secret, but occasionally the prototype was hauled outside on weekends to check it out in natural light. Because of the speed in getting the development done and for even more stealth, the designers didn't get input from the Blue Oval's other styling teams around the world. But that was somewhat of a double-edged sword. "You don't actually get to bounce opinions off people," Ford design boss Moray Callum said to Automotive News. "We were on tenterhooks ourselves until the first people saw it." Even now, there are still mysteries surrounding the GT. There's still no official word on the supercar's power; just that it's over 600 horsepower. There are also the persistent rumors going back months that the Blue Oval plans to take the GT racing to celebrate the 50th anniversary of automaker's Le Mans victory. Although, maybe this time the secrecy wasn't so good because we might have got a glimpse of the racer, recently. Related Video:

Ford EcoSport Storm concept swallows a Raptor in Sao Paulo

Sun, 02 Nov 2014

Ford rolled into the Sao Paulo Motor Show with some pretty cool crossovers in tow, the awesomest of all being the EcoSport Storm concept shown above, which draws its inspiration directly from the F-150 SVT Raptor. It packs a lower grille clearly derived from the now-famous muscle truck, as well as a Blue Storm paint job, black and silver trim, special graphics, lower body cladding and 215/75 R15 off-road tires. Don't go holding your breath for a supercharged V8, though; made locally in Brazil, India and Thailand, the tiny EcoSport is typically powered by a three- or four-cylinder engine.
The Storm isn't the only specially prepared Ecosport on show, however, joined as it is by another pair called Beauty and the Beast. Beauty is decked out in matte copper with a black roof, LED fog lamps, 18-inch wheels with low-profile tires and an interior complete with four individual bucket seats, leather upholstery and a full multimedia suite. The Beast, meanwhile, takes a sportier approach with a white pearl finish, blue and orange trim and three-bar grille. It also wears 18-inch wheels and LED fog lamps, but its interior swaps out its rear seats for a bike rack.
Joining the EcoSport show cars was an Edge crossover equipped with all the latest technologies and done up in bright red with three-bar grille, bulging hood, and an interior featuring 10-inch touchscreens and leather upholstery. Feel free to read more in the press release below.

Ford blimp crashes inside Portland Trail Blazers arena

Fri, Dec 5 2014

Portland basketball fans got a free, very safe recreation of the Hindenburg disaster when a Ford airship crashed into the stands during a game between the Trail Blazers and Indiana Pacers. Reportedly no one was hurt, but arena staff trying to push the inflatable vehicle through a hole it was too big for, made for some fantastic video and photos. This content is hosted by a third party. The first gives an idea of just how hard it was to fit the blimp through the exit of the arena, and the second is a time-lapse look from someone right next to the action. All these clips need is Yakety Sax as background music for some true Internet gold. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
