1966 Early Ford Bronco 1/2 Cab, True U14 Vin, Half Top, 6 Cyl., 3 Spd, No Reserv on 2040-cars

Year:1966 Mileage:28576
Location:

Zeeland, Michigan, United States

Zeeland, Michigan, United States

This is a true 1966 1/2 cab Early Ford Bronco with a U14 VIN number. It has a 170-6 cylinder motor, 3 speed manual trans, Dana 30 front axle with 4.11 gears, Ford 9" rear axle with 4.11 gears open diff., manual steering and manual brakes. Pretty much a stock unmolested truck, don't know allot about its past, other than it has plowed some snow. I have not had it running, the motor turns over freely and is NOT seized up. I was told it was running when parked 2 years ago. It rolls just fine, the brakes are not frozen up. I'm sure with some fresh gas, a good battery, and a little time it wouldn't take too much to get it running.

This Bronco has rust and is a project. It cannot be driven home in its current state, and would need to be trailered home. The body has rust in the usual places: floor pans, door posts, striker posts, kick panels, tailgate, top, etc. The bed area is pretty solid, and the doors, hood and grille aren't too badly rusted. The doors sag when opened and the tailgate hinge areas are rusted as well. There has been some repairs on the body over time, but still needs more attention.

Included with the Bronco is a Meyers 6 1/2' hyroturn snowplow. The plow is pretty solid, paint is not so great but not all rusted out. The pump is a Western electric over hydrualic unit with joystick controller in the cab.

NO reserve is set! This Bronco will sell with a bid. I have a good clean Michigan title in hand that is correct for the Bronco.

Buyer is responsible for all shipping/transportation costs. I can have it shipped right to your doorstep if needed. I will make my schedule flexible for pickup of the Bronco when needed, and assist in loading. I have various pieces of equipment to make loading it up real fast and safe. A United States Post Office Money Order of $1,000.00 for a deposit must be received within 48 hours after the auction closes, or Paypal will also be accepted for the deposit only. The deposit is NON-Refundable. Standard money orders, cashier’s checks, and bank checks NOT accepted. Cash is always welcomed. The remainder of payment for the Bronco must be a wire transfer to my bank, or cash in person. Full payment of the remainder balance is due 10 days after close of auction. I will not release the Bronco or title until paid in full. Bronco must be picked up within three weeks after auction closes. Please do not bid on the Bronco if you don't have the funds to pay for it or secure it if your the high bidder. This is a used vehicle that is sold "as is" with no guarantee or warrantee expressed or implied. I have a great track record on Ebay with 100% feedback rate, I feel I do good honest business. Good luck, and happy bidding! Questions can be emailed or call/text Joel @ 616-994-2530.

Ford announces four recalls, 1.4M vehicles affected

Thu, 29 May 2014

Ford is taking a bit of the spotlight away from General Motors, announcing a major group of recall campaigns, covering a total of 1.4 million vehicles built between 2006 and 2013.
Let's start with the big one, which covers the Ford Escape, Mercury Mariner and, according to The Detroit News, Ford-built Mazda Tribute CUVs. 915,216 vehicles are covered, all of which were built in model years 2008 to 2011. 736,000 vehicles are in the US, while Canada then Mexico make up the vast majority of the remainder. The problem is due to an issue with the torque sensor in the steering column, which could lead to sudden power steering failure. Manual steering would still be available, though.
"Dealers will perform one of three service fixes, depending upon what diagnostic codes are shown when the vehicle is taken to the dealer," Ford spokeswoman Kelli Felker wrote to Autoblog in an email. "They will either update software for the power steering control module and the instrument cluster module; replace the torque sensor; or replace the steering column, which includes upgraded power steering control module software."

Ford shutters Genk assembly plant in Belgium

Tue, Dec 23 2014

Ford has become the latest automaker to close one of its European assembly plants. The facility in question is located in the Belgian city of Genk and has been in operation since the early '60s when it started building the Taunus, Ford's first mass-produced, front-drive model. As part of the plan first announced over two years ago, the Genk Body & Assembly Plant is now closing its doors after half a century in the business and over fourteen million vehicles built. Although the plant itself employed some 5,000 workers, once you take into account the suppliers built up around the plant, the overall impact on employment in the area edges closer to 12,000. Genk Body & Assembly had until recently been tasked with producing the Mondeo sedan (which in its current iteration we know as the Fusion) as well as the S-Max and Galaxy minivans. Production of the Mondeo shifted in 2013 to the company's plant in Valencia, Spain, which also handles the Kuga crossover and Transit Connect cargo van, and will soon take over the minivans from Genk as well. The move follows a similar decision undertaken by General Motors to close the Opelwerk plant in Bochum, Germany. It also reflects a scaling down of automobile production in Belgium specifically: although Audi still manufacturers in Brussels and and Volvo in Ghent, Opel closed its plant in Antwerp in 2000 and Renault ceased production in Vilvoorde back in '97. However Ford still maintains its famous proving ground half an hour to the north in Lommel, Belgium. Ford recalls 2017 Lincoln Continental for headlight problem

Tue, Oct 11 2016

Ford Motor Co. is already recalling the 2017 Lincoln Continental for a headlight problem, the automaker announced Tuesday. The HID headlights may have been assembled with LED lens that don't have the correct lens optics to meet federal visibility requirements for turn signals. Ford says it is unaware of any accidents related to the issue. The company will replace the headlamp assemblies, if needed. The safety compliance recall covers 1,876 Continentals built from June 14 to Sept. 23 at Ford's Flat Rock factory south of Detroit. Most of the cars are in the United States; 49 are in Canada, and one is in a federalized territory. Only about 300 cars are in consumers' hands, a spokesperson said. Customers can use a Lincoln service program where dealers will pick up their Continental, fix it for free, and return it, the spokesperson said. Lincoln has high hopes for the Continental. The flagship sedan uses one of Lincoln's most iconic names and features a luxurious interior, available 400-horsepower V6 engine, and safety features like adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera. Lincoln recently announced an elaborate marketing campaign shot by renown photographer Annie Leibovitz to generate interest in the Continental. In a separate recall, Ford also said Tuesday that 60 Edges from the 2015-16 model year are being recalled to update their antilock braking system module.
