******beautiful Survivor 1977 Ford Bronco Ranger****** on 2040-cars
Palm Beach, Florida, United States
*****Quite Possibly the NICEST EARLY BRONCO in existence today PERIOD*****
A once in a lifetime find, for sale from my personal collection of always garaged, original trucks is my 1977 Bronco Ranger Package. This Bronco was sold new at Montcalm Motors in Quebec, Canada to a couple who used it as a spare only for runs to the grocery store! The photos will show it's absolutely spectacular condition. The Bronco is completely BONE STOCK and retains 99% of it's factory original "Tangerine" paint with Wimbledon White accent stripes that only came on the Ranger Package. The interior is stunning and retains all of the factory carpet and seats as well as the factory headliner. The carpet shows minimal wear only on the driver side (it could be replaced but I wanted to keep it 100% original) The seats are as comfortable as the day she rolled of the production line in Detroit, simply AS NEW STILL. It's powered by its original low mileage (4,568) 302 V8 motor that runs like a sewing machine, simply flawless! The engine bay is spotless as delivered from the factory and retains all of it's original tags and decals, not aftermarket stickers, but factory original decals in perfect condition even in the gasoline doors. It is an Automatic with the Automatic shifter on the column or "tree" and the 4x4 shifter and transfer case on the floor. It has power steering and disc brakes. As a Bronco collector I have never come across a nicer UNRESTORED example. Again, this truck retains all of it's original WORKING components down to the original spark plug wires, to the original Ranger spare tire cover and factory original spare tire. The steel wheels and hubcaps are flawless and free of any curb rash or paint flaws or tarnish LIKE NEW! I must confess, the four running tires are the only non-factory part on the truck and are new. The factory AM radio and factory, yes factory, never replaced dash speaker sound as grand as it did back in 1977. I encourage inspections and people to fly in to Palm Beach International Airport to see the tuck in person. You WILL NOT be disappointed. This is the very last year of the best Bronco's made. Own it and drive the piece of American History that started the whole Bronco craze. You will NEVER find another UNRESTORED one this nice. *I believe the mileage is true but cannot guarantee it on a 37 year old vehicle. The lack of wear on the seats, carpet and pedals leads me to believe that 4,568 true miles is entirely possible. *I have the Bronco advertised locally and have the right to close the auction early if it happens to sell locally. Questions are encouraged Please call or text Charley @ 561-436-5824 Thanks for looking and buy with confidence! Check my feedback rating of 100% |

Entry-level F-150 now offers SuperCrew, Sport Package
Thu, 29 Aug 2013Ford has made a few notable tweaks to the lower end of its F-150 lineup, giving customers a more affordable version of the four-door SuperCrew body style. The popular SuperCrew could previously only be had on XLT models and above, but Ford has announced that 2014 F-150s with the base STX trim can get the more versatile body.
The STX SuperCrew brings the price of a four-door F-150 down from $34,525 to $33,145. Like the XLT SuperCrew, the STX will be available with the choice of a 5.5- or 6.5-foot bed, while a 5.0-liter V8 can replace the base 3.7-liter V6 for $4,425. Ford has not released pricing on the different bed lengths yet, but opting for the 6.5-foot bed on the XLT raises the price $1,240 and forces buyers into the 5.0-liter V8. We'd expect a similar arrangement on the STX.
The other big news for fans of affordable pickups is the addition of an STX Sport Package on the base-level truck. It adds 20-inch wheels, black exterior accents, black-and-gray cloth seats and decals on the truck's box. The Sport Package is available on all three of the STX's body styles, with Ford listing the price as $980 with current discounts.
Toyota, Ford decide to end hybrid collaboration before it starts
Tue, 23 Jul 2013Not all so-called Memorandum of Understanding pacts end in actual collaborations. For instance, after a two-year "feasibility study," Toyota and Ford have just announced that they will not be developing hybrid systems for use in light trucks and SUVs as previously planned, and the two automakers will instead continue to develop their own hybrid technology independently.
The would-be collaboration was first announced in August of 2011, and would have seen a rear-wheel-drive hybrid platform that would "improve the efficiency of trucks and SUVs while still allowing them to be driven in the way customers expect," according to our initial post on the topic.
Keep in mind that this announcement isn't to say we shouldn't expect hybrid pickups and SUVs from the two automakers, but that they probably aren't coming very soon - Ford says it will have a system "before the end of this decade" and we haven't heard much from Toyota on the hybrid truck front since the 2008 A-BAT Concept (pictured above) - and that they will not share any components between them (and they never have, for what it's worth).
