You are bidding on a very nice, mostly original 1988 Ford Bronco II.  This truck has no rust.  It is a Texas truck. It has a 2.9L v-6 with a manual 5-speed and a manual transfer case.  This truck is 26 years old, it is not new, nor is it a show vehicle.  It is one of the nicest Broncos you'll see around though.  I get many complements.

Everything works as it should.  This includes cold A/C, hot heat, power windows, cruise control, and all safety equipment.  Motor and transmission are very sound. Tires are good all around.

Body and paint are very nice, 8 out of 10, with the exception of one large scratch on the driver side fender and door.  Interior is in good condition with the exception of a small hole in the driver seat.  The interior is a 8 out of 10, the carpet could use a good shampooing.

The truck will drive anywhere, with no problems.  It does need a few things though...Radio works but the speakers are old and sound like they are 26 years old.  It needs radius arm bushings, but I will install if sold (easy job).  Needs the button for the passenger side window switch (works, just missing cover).  Could use some new shocks, I bet they're 20 years old.

The truck is sold as is with no warranty given or implied.  I can help with delivery within reason.  I am located in the D/FW area.

Consumer Reports says Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevy are big winners in brand perception survey

Wed, 05 Feb 2014

According to Consumer Reports, the automotive brands that stand out in the minds of car buyers are, in order: Toyota, Ford, Honda and Chevrolet. This news comes after the magazine polled its readers, asking them to take into account vehicle quality, safety, performance, value, fuel economy, design/style, and technology/innovation - which are the factors that car shoppers are most influenced by.
It's important to note that this award is only about perception. In other words, it's perceived quality, not actual quality. "Often, perception can be a trailing indicator, reflecting years of good or bad performance in a category, and it can also be influenced by headlines in the media," said Jeff Bartlett, Consumer Reports deputy automotive editor.
The brand that made the biggest jump in perception amongst Consumer Reports readers is Tesla, which posted an impressive 47-point gain to finish in fifth place. Subaru is also notable for finishing in the top 10, despite being one of the smaller manufacturers doing business in the US. Scroll down below for all the details from Consumer Reports, if you're so inclined.

Ford moving medium-duty F-Series production from Mexico to Ohio

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

A few more Ford trucks will be built in the US in the near future with news that production of the F-650 and F-750 medium-duty trucks will move from Mexico to Ford's Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, OH. Ford hasn't confirmed a precise timeline for the move, but The Detroit News claims the Blue Oval will make the shift later this year or in early 2015.
As Ford spokesperson Mike Levine reminded us, back in 2011, Ford announced in an investor release that it would shift production "after the [Ohio] plant stops current production of the Ford E-Series vans." According to that release, the Ohio factory will also receive $128 million in upgrades to build the new trucks, plus the F53 motorhome chassis and F59 commercial chassis.
