1987 Ford Bronco II.

Maroon & Cream exterior, maroon interior.

Black BRUSH GAURD with Fog/Search lights. Switch is in vehicle to turn off/on.

Awesome BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires with very low miles on them.

Spare tire with Bronco cover included. You just need to purchase the back bar if you want to mount it on the Bronco.

Very nice aftermarket rims. Big tires with a 2" lift. Suspension is great.

Very strong motor, smooth ride, starts right up.

Muffler appears to be aftermarket and is loud, so the truck rumbles like a beast.

No smoking, clean exhaust. Current REGISTRATION & INSPECTION.

Current odometer reading is 20, 233 but that is because it has rolled over. I have no idea how many miles have been put on since 1987.

Engine was replaced according to the people we purchased it from around 60,000 miles ago. I have no way to verify this, just thought I would let you know.

CD/Mp3 50w x 4 player in dash. Kicker subwoofers & crunch amp in back on a sound/rubber mat. Stereo sounds very nice and clear. No rattling or annoying sounds.

There is a rolling cover in the back that is removeable. We keep it on to cover the sound system.

All glass is excellent condition, NO chips or cracks anywhere.

Chilton's Manuel is included.

This bronco is 27 years old and has small dents, dings, sun spots, etc...from normal age/wear. The clear coat and paint shows some wear.

Please see pictures, what you see is what you get. We are definitely open to test drives in the Fort Worth area. Send me a message and we can set something up before auction ends. I will not end auction early though.

Headliner is in very good condition. Drivers side visor is missing, will be easy to replace. We have passenger visor.

AC does NOT work. Heater works great.

This is our daily driver and overall it is a great vehicle.

It has a very small oil leak at the valve cover gaskets that really is not worth fixing to us. It also has a small power steering leak. We just add fluids once in a while as needed.

As I said, this is a VERY smooth and comfortable ride, easy to drive and lots of fun. My wife even likes driving it!

It isn't perfect but may be just what you are looking for!

I will answer and question you might have.

Thanks for looking!

Ford rolls out diesel Focus ST at Goodwood [w/poll]

Sun, 29 Jun 2014

If you're in the market for a hot hatch, there are some excellent choices at your disposal - especially if you live in Europe. But if you want a diesel, well, your choices become rather more limited. Volkswagen tends to that niche market with the Golf GTD (essentially an oil-burning version of the GTI available Stateside), but that's about the extent of it. The pleas of those looking for more diesel-burning hot hatch choices haven't fallen on deaf ears at Ford, with the Blue Oval not only rolling out a facelifted gas-powered Focus ST at the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, but also a new diesel version as well.
The diesel Focus ST (which we hope and pray isn't marketed as the STD) packs a 2.0-liter turbodiesel four producing 182 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque to propel the oil-burning hot hatch to 62 in 8.1 seconds en route to a top speed of 135 miles per hour. With less power and only slightly more torque, that makes the diesel Focus ST considerably slower than the gasoline one, which packs 252 hp and 270 lb-ft, runs to 62 in 6.5 seconds and tops out at 154 mph, but (in a testament to how far particulate filters have come) the diesel model cuts carbon emissions by nearly a third compared to the petrol version and returns about 50-percent better fuel economy, which makes that much more of a difference in markets where diesel is already priced better than gasoline at the pump.
For buyers who wouldn't consider anything other than a diesel, it also represents 23-percent more power than the previous top-level diesel Focus. The VW Golf GTD, for reference, offers up 181 hp (just 1 horse less), 280 lb-ft (15 fewer torques) but is somehow estimated to reach 60 in a considerably fleeter 7.4 seconds.

2014 Ford F-150 gets CNG option

Wed, 31 Jul 2013

Ford is toiling away, installing heavy-duty engine components into select 3.7-liter V6s to allow them to run on compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquid petroleum gas (LPG) in addition to gasoline. That's nothing new, but now, Ford has announced that it will offer the 2014 F-150 with this engine configuration, bringing the Blue Oval's total number of CNG/LPG-friendly vehicles up to eight. The F-150 will be the only half-ton pickup on the market that can run on these gases.
Ford will charge $315 per vehicle to equip the optional engine, but the trucks won't be ready to run on the alternative fuels straight from the factory and must be upfitted with additional equipment. A Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier will install a separate fuel system for the compressed gases at a cost of $7,500 to $9,500, depending on fuel tank size. With the right-size tank, the F-150 equipped with the CNG/LPG-prepped engine can go 750 miles on one tank of gas, according to Ford, averaging 23 miles per gallon.
The practice of offering flex-fuel vehicles is gaining momentum as businesses take advantage of cheap gas. CNG can be bought for $2.11/gallon on average (per gasoline equivalent), and sometimes for as little as $1.00 in some parts of the US, Ford states. "With the money saved using CNG, customers could start to see payback on their investment in as little as 24 to 36 months," says Jon Coleman, Ford's fleet sustainability and technology manager. The automaker expects to sell a total of 15,000 CNG/LPG-prepped vehicles in the 2014 model year.

Amazon looking to bring Kindle to your next car?

Mon, 25 Feb 2013

Maybe so. The online retailer and digital media monolith recently announced the Amazon Cloud Player, an application for Ford Sync that allows users to stream media from their Amazon Cloud account directly to a Ford vehicle. This foray into automotive technology got the minds at Gigaom.com thinking about what could be next for Amazon. As Kevin Fitchard writes, the logical step is to make audio versions of your Kindle library selections available in your car. As he points out, Amazon has already laid the groundwork for such a move.
Amazon pulled the sheets back on Whispersync for Voice last year. The tech pairs ebooks with an Audible book for a small extra fee, allowing users to either read along with a narrator or switch between audio and text versions on command. Fitchard says it wouldn't be some great leap to apply the same principles to a car, where voice recognition software would allow users to pause or select chapters without ever taking their eyes off of the road.
It all sounds just fine to us, but Amazon hasn't said a thing about such a move. Still, we wouldn't be surprised to see the company come down this road in the near future just the same.
