I have a 1984 ford bronco II it has 76456 original miles on it. This may change a little as I do drive it. I got it in the late fall of 2011. It had sat in a garage on long island for most of its life. In the early spring of 2012 I started to work on it. I replaced the gas tank put in a new fuel gauge and all new fuel lines. A new fuel pump was installed this is the old way it is mounted on the block where it should be. Also new radiator all new belts and hoses. A new heater core and all heater hoses. Also new thermostats. New starter and I just put in a new battery. New transmission lines all the fluids were changed and new filter. I put it on the road in june of 2012 and put 4 brand new goodyear tires on it. I drove it this past winter and maybe I have put 3000 miles on it. The motor runs good the tranny shifts like it should and the 4 wheel drive works. It has the manual lock hubs which in my mind are better then the auto hubs. The body is in good shape for a 84 and the inside rear seats and passenger seats are in good shape. The drivers seat is torn. The head liner is sagging and just needs to be sprayed with some adhesive and it will be fine. The hood had paint flaking so before winter came I sanded and primed the painted the hood and roof quick to protect it from the salt here. The paint is not a good match but time was short and it need to get done before winter. The hood and roof are solid as with most of the bronco. It has one rust spot that is rusted through, see pictures. It still needs some TLC but can be turned into a nice ride. It has a few oil leaks that I have not gotten to and the temperature gage will not work. I replaced the sending unit but it still doesn't work so it must be the gauge in the dash itself. I have lost interest in it and looking for a new toy so this has to go. Look at the pictures and any questions feel free to ask. Also I may be able to deliver it for a fee. This is a 84 with very low miles and should last a long time, however it is a 84 so you are buying it as it is with no warranties. thank you for looking. I forgot to mention that I also put a new carburetor on it and new wheel bearings and brakes on the front. ** I do reserve the right to end the auction early due to it being listed locally ** Thanks again.

Tanner Foust tackles 'Ring in SVT Raptor
Sat, 16 Mar 2013Here's a math problem: if Tanner Foust has a 24 hours to kill in Germany and one blue Ford Raptor, how long will it take him to decide he wants to lap The Nürburgring? Extra credit if you can get your answer precise to the millisecond.
A very truck-like and slidey lap of the 'Ring is exactly what happened when the Ford-sponsored rallycross driver took time off from set-up duties for his 'day job.' Thankfully no one even thought to worry about posting a time, but you can watch some Raptor skid marks getting laid down between the kerbs in the video below.
2016 Ford Explorer First Drive [w/video]
Mon, May 18 2015I was still young and impressionable when Jurassic Park hit the big screen, and that movie forever imprinted the Ford Explorer in my mind. You remember the scene, but I'll describe it anyway: It's dark, raining and there's no power. The off-screen footsteps of a tyrannosaurus send shockwaves through the standing water in a plastic cup and the rain-soaked muddy roads. Seconds later, the toothy end of the movie's biggest predator crushes through the roof of a highligher-green-and-yellow Ford Explorer, causing all manner of mayhem to the SUV's occupants inside. It's not lost on me that the Ford Explorer used in the movie is, in reality, a dinosaur itself. When the seminal Explorer hit the scene in 1991 it was based on the guts of the Ranger pickup truck, which was no spring chicken itself. Ford's first real foray into the then-burgeoning SUV marketplace was meant to compete against vehicles like the Jeep Cherokee and Chevy Blazer, along with Japanese models such as the Nissan Pathfinder and Toyota 4Runner. In those early days, none of these vehicles were sold based on the merits of their car-like ride and handling or superior fuel economy. Nowadays, the discerning car shopper wants the looks of an off-road-ready SUV, but the inherent compromises and need for any serious rock-crawling capability faded away years ago. The current Ford Explorer is a prime example of this successful visual hypocrisy, with its SUV-like styling listed as the number-one reason for buying on customer surveys. SUV-like styling is one thing, SUV-like guts are another. In 2011 the Explorer went from its traditional truck-based chassis to Ford's D4 platform, based loosely on the Taurus and shared with the Flex. As with the rest of the unibody crossover world, that means the current Explorer offers an excellent ride, the higher seating position that buyers want, and a useful third row for growing families. None of that inherent family-car goodness goes away for 2016. With class-leading sales already in the bag, Ford hopes its latest Explorer will attract new buyers due to the availability of a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine and an upper-crust Platinum trim level. Based on some time sitting inside and inspecting the high-content Platinum model (albeit without a drive in this trim level) I believe Ford's claim that this is most luxurious vehicle ever to wear a Blue Oval. Only not all its ovals inside are blue.
Ford going bonkers at SEMA with 57 showcars
Sat, 19 Oct 2013Ford always shows up in force at the SEMA Show, but this year's tally of 57 custom-tuned cars, trucks and vans is more than we can ever recall the Blue Oval bringing. Ford will introduce 28 of its project vehicles in its "Dreamcase" ahead of next month's show. The first batch of eight you'll find here with the remaining vehicles trickling into public view over the next couple of weeks.
This first group of cars includes a Fiesta, four Fiesta ST hatchbacks and a trio of Mustang show cars styled and tuned to varying degrees all by different aftermarket companies. Tanner Foust, Nitto Tire, 3dCarbon and Ice Nine Group are some of the more familiar names affixed to these cars. Our favorite so far is the Hollywood Hot Rods Mustang convertible (shown above) with its removable aluminum top and methanol-injected, 750-horsepower 5.0-liter V8.
Scroll down for all the details on these Fiestas and Mustangs, and stay tuned for more info on Ford's SEMA line, which will include custom versions of the Focus ST, Fusion, Transit Connect, F-150 and Super Duty.
