For sale is a 1977 Ford Bronco. The 289 heads were remanufactured and put back together with a four barrel holley. The motor has great compression and runs strong. There were numerous issues with the body when I purchased it so I took the body off the chassey and purchased new body parts and had them professionally welded together and painted with 2K Primer finish. One of the front motor mounts on the chassey needs to be replaced. It's a $30 item. Other than that the chassey is in solid condition. I also purchased the new body mount kit which is still in the bag and comes with it. The body is not attached to the chassey, but I will strap them together when they are shipped. The shipping company will need to know that it is not running. Included along with the body are both doors with working windows, the two front fenders which have minor rust as seen in the pictures, the hood, the topper with all glass, both repainted bumpers, front grill which needs work, two front seats, back bench seat, steering wheel, dash board visors, windshield wipers, etc. The tailgate is the only thing that I think is too far gone, but has all the parts you will need. Also, the windshield is missing. There are too many parts to list, however, I have taken pictures of everything. I started this project, but do not have the time to finish. NHTSA closes book on Ford, GM probes of 600,000 vehicles
Thu, Nov 27 2014US safety regulators have closed a pair of investigations into some 500,000 Ford Crown Victoria, Mercury Grand Marquis and Marauder sedans built between 2004 to 2007, and 100,000 Chevrolet Impala models from 2014. The Ford investigation focused on rusting heat shields, which may become dislodged and jam the steering, according to Reuters. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration found that this happened very rarely. In fact, of the ten incidents filed with the government safety watchdog, six came from a single police department, which evidently had some sort of problem with its reporting. As for the Impala, the NHTSA investigators attributed two incidences of "unintended autonomous braking" to user error. In both cases, the vehicles were involved in rear-end collisions. According to GM investigators, it's believed that drivers accidentally activated the electric parking brake, causing the collisions. The vehicles in question were rental cars. Leno talks racing with NASCAR racer Joey Logano
Wed, 02 Jul 2014Jay Leno has to be under significant pressure knowing the appetite his fans have for a new Jay Leno's Garage video every week. This time, Jay takes a break from his usual format (something he's been doing with some frequency as of late) and goes back to his roots as a talk show host. There's no classic in the garage his episode with an interesting story to tell and a sumptuous exhaust note. Instead, the focus is purely on interviewing 23-year-old NASCAR racer Joey Logano about what it's like to be a racecar driver in his Ford Fusion.
Logano started racing at the tender age of six and has risen up the circle-track ranks to the big show of the NASCAR Sprint Cup. The two of them talk about what it's like to compete in the sport today compared to yesteryear, and Logano shares some racing anecdotes. Of course, they also get into what it's like to be on the racetrack controlling a car with about 850 horsepower, a four-speed manual transmission and brakes without any power boost. Amazon looking to bring Kindle to your next car?

The online retailer and digital media monolith recently announced the Amazon Cloud Player, an application for Ford Sync that allows users to stream media from their Amazon Cloud account directly to a Ford vehicle. This foray into automotive technology got the minds at Gigaom.com thinking about what could be next for Amazon. As Kevin Fitchard writes, the logical step is to make audio versions of your Kindle library selections available in your car. As he points out, Amazon has already laid the groundwork for such a move.
Amazon pulled the sheets back on Whispersync for Voice last year. The tech pairs ebooks with an Audible book for a small extra fee, allowing users to either read along with a narrator or switch between audio and text versions on command. Fitchard says it wouldn't be some great leap to apply the same principles to a car, where voice recognition software would allow users to pause or select chapters without ever taking their eyes off of the road.
It all sounds just fine to us, but Amazon hasn't said a thing about such a move. Still, we wouldn't be surprised to see the company come down this road in the near future just the same.
