For sale is an uncut 1970 Ford Bronco with removable top. I purchased this from an older gentleman in Georgia whom was a mechanic. He was meticulous with the engine which is evident in how well it drives. It starts up easily and the steering, clutch, and breaks work great. There are no fluid leaks and does not pull to the left or right. All lights and windshield wipers work. When you press the windshield wiper water knob you can hear the motor working, but I am waiting for the new solvent bottle to install. Windows open and glide smoothly including the back hatch. It has the original a.m. radio and I have purchased a new speaker for it, but have not yet installed it. Also, the horn is not working. I plan to have my mechanic look at. It could be a fuse. I have owned several Bronco's and by far this is the best running one I have ever owned and it looks great, too.
Prior to purchasing it there was some body work done and I picked up where the previous owner left off. I had a paint and body company do the work for me and they replaced one striker plate on drivers side and fixed several dents. This Bronco has minimal bondo for a 43 year old truck. There was a crude weld job done on the hard top on front drip edge. It can be seen in one of the pictures. There a few spots under the truck that have rust, but are not structural. A few dings and minor dents still exist, but over all looks beautiful. The truck is solid. I wanted to keep the truck as original as possible and painted it Color Code K which I believe is the original color. I also painted the rear wheel rack which is not shown and missing one of the hinges. Rhino guard was applied to the floor which is solid with no rust. The hard top inside and out, bumpers, and door panels were all painted and clear-coated when the truck was re-painted. There are a few rubber gaskets missing and the backseat does not have its armrest pads which are inexpensive to purchase.
The following have been replaced in the past 18 months:
- four new radial tires
- three new seat covers
- battery
- two rubber seals for both doors and two rubber seals above door on hard top
- water solvent bottle
- carburetor rebuilt
- fuel filter replaced
- new thermostat assembly
- new brake drums and shoes all the way around
- new master cylinder
- new brake hardware kit
- all new brake lines
- all new break cylinders
- new dash cover
This is a very dependable, strong running truck. Super fun to drive! Has to go to make room for a new project.
This is being sold "as is". A deposit of $1,000 is due within 24 hours of auction end and remaining balance due within five working days from end of auction. Buyer responsible for shipping and needs to be picked up with 10 days of end of auction.

Mercury rises around sexy Cougar pack
Sat, May 30 2015With a slightly larger body and a more luxurious interior, the Mercury Cougar doesn't carry quite as much cachet among pony car enthusiasts as the venerable Ford Mustang. But don't try to make that argument around Cougar super-fan Mike Brown. Since starting his Cougar collecting in 1988, Brown has become an absolute expert on the model, and he claims to have owned 400 of the Mercury pony cars in that time. Ten of them are in his collection today, not to mention a heap of spare parts in the garage. Check out some of the rarer members of Brown's fleet and allow him to tell you about them in this interesting interview from Electric Federal.
Ford supports bid for Detroit Rallycross race with Motown-minded Fiesta ST vid
Mon, 01 Jul 2013As Ford continues its cheerleading effort to help bring the 2014 Summer X Games to its hometown of Detroit, MI, it has released footage of its 2014 Fiesta ST Rallycross car on location at some of the city's well-known landmarks. This video appears to have been shot around the same time as the previous X Games Detroit video was made, but it focuses 100-percent on rally car action.
With Ford Racing driver Andreas Eriksson behind the wheel, this Fiesta ST lays down some serious rubber atop Detroit's Cobo Hall parking structure, at Belle Isle and around the Michigan Central Depot. Detroit isn't alone in the bid for a three-year X Games contract as Chicago, Austin and Charlotte are also hoping to play host. The winning host city is expected to be announced this summer. Scroll down for Ford's two-minute video showing the Fiesta ST Rallycrossing through the Motor City.
Does the new 2015 Ford Mustang have a burnout control system?
Tue, 10 Dec 2013Whether it's lane departure warning, blind-spot monitoring or automatic emergency braking, most of the electronic systems we see emerging on new vehicles focus on safety. But there are some there just for enthusiasts. We're talking about systems like automatic throttle blipping for perfect downshifts, or launch control to get that textbook acceleration from a standstill. But the latest system could prove just the opposite of the latter.
Although it has given us most of the details, Ford is still keeping certain elements of its new Mustang secret. But emerging reports may have the skinny on one system which Ford is trying is darnedest to keep under its hat for the time being. That, according to unnamed sources cited by Motor Authority, is burnout control.
The system is reportedly designed to help novices execute the perfect smokey burnout - sort of like launch control, but specifically the opposite. The system could, according to elaborative speculation, lock the front brakes while spooling up the engine to optimal revolutions before dumping (or indicating the driver to do dump) the clutch. A cloud of tire smoke and a long pair of skid marks would then ensue.
