1993 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Feature Car Convertible
Rare Car! 1 of 1503 Canary Yellow Feature Cars made in 1993. 1 of 271 Canary Yellow Feature Cars made with White Leather Seats, White Top and Automatic Trans. This 1993 Mustang has been garaged most of its life, however it has been parked outside for the past few months seeing I lost my garage space to another project. The reason for selling is that I do not want the weather to get the best of this car, and I do not use it enough! I am going to be upfront and honest with everything I put in this post. any questions, feel free to message me for my phone number and I would be glad to discuss anything. The Car: 1993 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible Feature Edition. Car Fax Certified. Numbers matching car, original everything. Has ID plate behind front bumper to prove its a real Ford produced Feature Edition Mustang. This car was owned by an older lady in VA, she traded in the car to a Hyundai Dealer a few years ago, where I purchased the car. Has original spare tire and jack, original owners manual with paperwork, has original floor mats etc. Engine: All original 5.0L V8 302- has approx. 156,000 miles. When I bought the car it lacked maintenance and was running rough ( had original plugs, wires, cap, rotor etc). I replaced last year- new fan, belts, plugs, plug wires, filters, cap, rotor, coil, battery wires and more. The car runs great. I drive the car to work on nice days, I live in Staten Island, and drive it to Manhattan- a 60 mile round trip. Very reliable. The automatic transmission was replaced by the previous owner, but was practically brand new when I purchased her. Engine Compartment is ORIGINAL. Car has plastic covers for wiper motor, plastic cover for coil, and the original rubber cover for the plug wires. All stickers are in the engine compartment as well. Only thing I threw away was the hood insulation because it was falling apart from age. This is available online if you want to make this car a show-car! Body: This 1993 Mustang is rot/rust free. I have owned several of these cars, and this one is by far the most solid I have owned. The undercarriage could use some cleaning with a light pressure wash from years of road dirt, but there is no rot/rust under this car that you will need to fix. The car is solid! The body itself looks to be mostly original paint, which is the only flaw of this car. This car was driven, always registered and used- and the body shows it in spots. I was going to paint the car, but every spring I just simply wash and wax it, and use it all summer. The car could use a good cleaning, I have not got around to thoroughly cleaning the car this year yet. The car has some dents, one on each rear 1/4 panel that were there before I owned her. The paint is missing on some of these spots and minor surface rust has started, but nothing that cannot be sanded and painted. The drivers side is missing the molding, but I have an original LX molding for the 1/4 and it will come with the car at the sale. I also have some window weather stripping that will come with the car. Overall the body is clean, rust free and presentable. I get compliments all the time when driving the car. Look at the pictures of the car for a better idea. Interior: The interior of this car is in almost showroom condition. The seats were redone by a guy in NJ, very clean and showroom new as if it were 1993. Has the original rug, with original feature car Floor mats in MINT condition. Interior is very clean. Only flaw is missing the center arm rest pad, which is about $30.00 online. Has aftermarket radio w/ USB hook up. A/C and heat work great, Window motors work great, Top Motor works great, door lock motors need a fuse or something, never tried to fix them. Seats have the original running pony headrests. Im sure I forgot a few things. The car overall is in great shape. Here is a quick list of the bad: - Rear 1/4 panel dents - Front driver Chrome pony has some peeling, other 3 great condition - Door lock motors not working - Tail light lenses cracked (kids with basketball) This is all I can think of. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. Sold AS-IS/ WHERE IS, CASH/CERTIFIED CHECK ONLY. |

Ford Focus EV's slow sales trigger massive incentives
Fri, 25 Jan 2013The Detroit News reports Ford is having real trouble moving its new Focus Electric. As a result, the automaker is offering substantial incentives in an attempt to lure in more buyers. How substantial? Try $10,750 off of a three-year lease. What's more, the EV can now be had for $37,995 ($2,000 less than its original base price) on top of an additional $2,000 cash discount to buy the EV outright - or you can opt for 1.9-percent financing if you work through Ford Motor Credit. None of which factors in various potential government incentives. Last year, Ford managed to sell a paltry 685 of the 1,627 Focus EV hatchbacks it built.
Ford isn't alone in trying to woo more buyers to its EV effort. Nissan cut the price of its Leaf by a whopping 18 percent for 2013, now down to $28,800 and built in the USA. The move followed the automaker's substantial incentives in 2012.
If you want a Focus Electric, you can now apparently get your hands on one for as little as $285 per month with $930 due at signing for a 36-month lease with 10,500 miles per year.
2015 Ford F-Series Super Duty is class-leading once again
Wed, 05 Mar 2014Time for everyone to feign surprise - Ford has just announced that it has the increased horsepower and torque levels of its 6.7-liter Power Stroke turbodiesel V8 engine for 2015. As you'd expect, the Blue Oval is claiming class-leading figures of 440 hp (up from 400) and 860 pound-feet (up from 800), and that's enough to enable Ford's F-450 Super Duty model to tow as much as 31,200 pounds, which, again, the automaker claims is class leading.
Now, it should be noted that the max rating quoted above is achieved with the Ford F-450. The 2015 F-350, which is perhaps a better comparison to the Ram 3500 HD pickup that claimed the towing crown in 2013 at an even 30,000 pounds, is capped at 26,500 pounds, either with a gooseneck or when towing a fifth-wheel trailer. In any case, it's going to take a load the size of Godzilla to make any of the current crop of fullsize heavy-duty pickup trucks break into a sweat. For those keeping track, Chevy rates its 2015 Silverado HD at a maximum of 23,200 pounds.
Ford's newfound pulling power comes courtesy of a larger turbocharger for its in-house Power Stroke engine, new fuel injector tips and, we'd assume, retuned computer controls. Besides the engine enhancements, the F-350 gets a wider front track for 2015 and new front springs, while the F-450 gains commercial-grade 19.5-inch wheels and tires, new rear U-joints, leaf springs, stabilizer bars and shocks. The steering and brake systems have also been upgraded.
National Geographic Channel balances Ford F-150 on four coffee mugs
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Proving that there is still something to be learned on television these days, National Geographic Channel recently introduced a new series called Duck Quacks Don't Echo. On the first episode of this science/comedy show, host Michael Ian Black proposes the idea that a truck can be supported with a ceramic coffee mug under each wheel - yes, he says that the entire weight of a truck can be balanced on just four coffee mugs.
Looking to find out whether this is fact or myth, the show uses a regular cab Ford F-150, weighing in at 4,800 pounds, and four average coffee mugs. Lowered onto the mugs, the idea is quickly put to the test. Can the cups hold up under 4,800 pounds? If so, what, exactly, would it take to break them? Scroll down below to find out.
