Capitola, California, United States
Please read the entire description and terms of sale before buying or asking questions.
89 Ford Ranger extra cab truck. 2.9 V6 with five speed. Gets pretty good gas mileage. 175k miles. New tires, clutch and power steering pump and I think the steering rack was even replaced within the last few years. Runs and drives fine, but has querks as any 25 year old vehicle does. I drive it on a normal basis and have driven it over 1000 miles at a time with no issues. My dad bought this truck around 1995...so I know it's a good truck. It's currently registered through 4/30/14 and I have the title in my name. A lady ran into me last year, hence the damage on the bed. The rear end needs to be centered again, simple...loosen it up and square it up. It will be salvaged when you re-register it due to the accident. Passed smog about a year ago. I recently paid $107. of the fees towards the salvage title and have the paper work to back it up. It will need a brake and lamp inspection, a smog and the balance of the DMV fees at $91. Priced for a fast sale. It's advertised elsware and I doubt it will last too long! This is a BUY IT NOW listing, so no need to wait! Please look at all the pictures in the slideshow below. The state of Ca. will pay $1000. to $1500. for it, but I would rather it live on and someone get some use out of it. More than the sale price has been spent on it the last few years. Terms of sale: A $200. NON refundable Pay Pal deposit is due immediately after winning this listing. The balance of $799.99 is due in my hand within three days of listing end. I will only accept cash in person if you are picking it up in person. I will accept US Postal money order sent within three days if you are having it shipped. If you need to over night the payment to get it here on time, please do so. NO other forms of payment are being accepted. By winning this listing you are accepting this used 25 year old salvaged Ford Ranger as a parts vehicle in it's current condition, regardless of it's faults or imperfections, title or registration or current smog status etc. If the buyer chooses to re-register and put this vehicle back on the street, they will be responsible for all fees involved, inspections and smog. Buyer is responsible for setting up transporting it and all costs involved. This Ford Ranger is sold as is where is with no warranty of any kind. You're payment is non refundable, there will be no buy backs, no refunds partial or full and this Ranger is non returnable. By winning this listing on eBay you acknowledge you understand and agree to all my terms. This is a legal binding contract and you will be obligated to follow through with this purchase. If you have any further questions, please ask before you buy. Thanks |

2015 Ford F-150 gets Power Wheels treatment [w/video]
Thu, 26 Jun 2014With the introduction of its forthcoming 2015 F-150, Ford is breaking with convention by shifting from steel-intensive construction to aluminum. But what if it weren't made of metal altogether? What if it were made of plastic instead, and packed an electric motor instead of an internal-combustion engine?
Feast your eyes, boys and girls, on the new Power Wheels F-150. Built by Fisher-Price and licensed by Ford, the third-generation ride-on toy started development nine months before the full-size version debuted at the Detroit Auto Show this past January, and is hitting sidewalks and driveways across the country this September.
The Power Wheels F-150 carries a sticker price of $349.99, and there's a special version at Toys R Us with LED headlamps (just like the real F-150) for an extra $10.
Ford's official Euro aftermarket partner Mountune coming to US
Tue, 06 Aug 2013Now that we're getting a steady stream of Ford's European offerings, the aftermarket world is finally starting to catch up as well. UK-based aftermarket tuning company, Mountune has just announced that it will be setting up shop in California to provide high-performance and racing parts for Ford vehicles including the Focus ST and Fiesta ST.
Mountune lays claim to being Ford's "official European tuning partner," and US buyers will soon have access to these parts through Ford dealerships and with a Ford Racing warranty. Speaking of Ford Racing, Mountune also says that it will be working with Ford's in-house team to develop future components for both street and track. There are no specifics as of yet for which products will be offered here, but the company plans to launch a US-specific website later this month with more information.
Watch Ford build a Mustang atop Burj Khalifa, world's tallest building
Sun, Nov 23 2014In 1965, a Ford Mustang Convertible proudly went on display at the top of the Empire State Building, the world's tallest building at the time. Earlier this year, the Blue Oval recreated the stunt by bringing the latest droptop 'Stang to the sky-high structure. Unfortunately, while still iconic, the New York skyscraper has lost the world title. Of course, an automaker can't let something like that get in the way of a good publicity stunt. For the inauguration of the Ford business unit in the Middle East and Africa, the brand gave the 2015 Mustang Convertible an even bigger building to climb – the biggest in fact. The droptop made its way to the 112th floor of the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest building. To put a final topper on the whole event, executive chairman Bill Ford was the one to place the car's famous badge, making it complete. Like with the Empire State Building spectacle, getting the Mustang to the top wasn't as simple as just driving it off the elevator. Check out the video above to see how it was done, and scroll down to read Ford's press release about the event.
