1975- Ford Torino 2-Door Starsky and Hutch wanna be, Tribute car Replica. Has 62,341 miles on the Odometer. This car is a perfect candidate for a Starsky car Replica. This car comes with roller tires..the Tires in the pictures are just to show how awesome this Torino will look with a set of Slots. This car does NOT come with an Engine or Transmission. This car originally had a 351-Windsor in it.  I do have a 351-Windsor engine that needs to be freshened up that I will include if the car sells for $1,400.00 or more. The car has a back seat but is missing the front seat. Also will need a Headliner and new Carpet,,There is also No Radio in this car. Passenger rear floor board has some rust but can be patch repaired easily. Glass is all good in this car. Chrome around front and back glass is in great shape. Back tail lights look good..Rear bumper has slight surface rust that will clean up nice. Front bumper also looks good but has slight surface rust. Front Head light Bezels and Front Grille look good also. I have two Starsky cars myself and bought this from a guy from Wentzville Missouri to do another one or a parts car but have decided this car has to much potential to use as a parts car and I need to take a break. I do not want to let this car sit and rust away. This car needs a total restoration but is a great candidate for a restore. Rear quarters and Wheel wells have the usual rust of a 39 year old car but can be redone. I have extra interior peices if needed..lots of extra parts if needed. Thanks for looking and Happy Bidding!! I will help load this car but I will not ship or set up shipping...I will only help load car. Car is a roller. Car is being SOLD AS IS No Refunds. Look at all of the pictures please. GM also sheds parts from its pickups to boost payload ratings

Thu, 31 Jul 2014

The row between Ford and Ram over who boasts the best-in-class tow rating for heavy duty pickups has revealed a number of things. Chief among them is a report that Ford removes items like the spare tire, jack, radio and center console from its vehicles in a bid to lower its base curb weight and therefore keep the truck's gross vehicle weight rating down.
For those that need a refresher, GVWR is the vehicle's curb weight plus its maximum payload. A lower GVWR allows Ford to station its F-450 among the so-called Class III pickups, despite the fact that internally, it has the makings of a more brutish Class IV truck.
Ford explains away these deletions, saying a customer could order their vehicle in such a manner. It has also come to light that Ford is not the only automaker to engage in such practices.

Here's the new face of the Ford Ranger

Thu, Nov 27 2014

Ford Asia Pacific has put a teaser video on YouTube showing off details on the 2015 Ranger pickup, and at the end we get a quick glimpse of the whole truck. This is the T6 Ranger that we still don't get in North America, but that shares its underpinnings with the Everest SUV recently introduced at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum. The Ranger gets a chunkier front end than the Everest, identified by its grille with three floating slats, reminiscent of designs on the previous F-150, and a less-stylized lower front bumper. Ford says it will be smarter, safer, smoother and stronger, but we'll have to wait for its reveal to find out what that means. Meanwhile, you can admire its new looks in the video below.

Company veterans promoted to set a course for the future of Ford

Wed, Apr 10 2019

Ford on Wednesday named two company veterans to lead its auto and mobility businesses as the No. 2 U.S. automaker shifts its focus to autonomous vehicles and realigns its automobile portfolio. Joe Hinrichs was named president of Ford's automotive unit, and Jim Farley will be president, new businesses, technology and strategy, effective May 1. Both will report to Chief Executive Officer Jim Hackett. Hinrichs' goal will be a sustainable EBIT margin (earnings before interest and taxes) of at least 8 percent, Ford said. He'll have responsibility for all of Ford's global business units, and both the Ford and Lincoln brands. And he'll lead all of the automotive skills teams, from product development through customer experience. "Joe Hinrichs possesses the knowledge, experience and leadership to now take our Automotive business to world-class levels of product excellence, customer satisfaction, efficiency and financial performance," Hackett said. "As we enter a busy period for new product launches and further restructuring in underperforming markets, Joe's leadership in transforming businesses through focused execution will be key." Farley is charged with leading Ford's strategic transformation, in which it hopes to gain higher margins through smart/connected vehicles. He'll oversee corporate strategy, global data analytics, global partnerships, research and advanced engineering, including initiatives in smart mobility and autonomous vehicles. "Jim Farley's job is to drive us into the future, both strategically and operationally, from AVs to mobility experiences to leveraging AI and big data. Jim combines an innate feel for what customers want and need in vehicles and the ability to translate this into the vehicles and services of the future," Hackett said. Marcy Klevorn, president of Ford Mobility, plans to retire Oct. 1 after 36 years at Ford. Until then, she will report to Hackett in a strategic role. "I have asked Marcy to work with me and the senior team to accelerate our transformation," Hackett said. "Marcy's decades of experience working with many of the leading companies in the tech space as well as the work she has done with the transformation of Ford IT and the establishment of Ford Mobility gives her unique knowledge to drive these initiatives."
