For sale today is a super rare 1970 Ford Torino 429 CJ Ram Air Cobra Fastback. This car was with the same family since it came off the assembly line. Once the husband passed the wife became the owner and you can be the next owner.
This is an A/C car with matching numbers original drivetrain. Pretty much complete car. Original dash with ALL DASH AND HIDDEN FENDER TAGS MATCHING and PRESENT...This car is being offered at a BUY IT NOW or BEST OFFER. It does need restoring and some body work. Some dings here and there. Some typical floor and underside work needed front to back. We do have a separate parts chassis we can include for NO EXTRA CHARGE if you wanted to harvest some metal here and there. This is a very desirable J Code Cobrajet with RAM AIR shaker. Lots of options (SEE MARTI). but this has the ORIGINAL MATCHING NUMBER engine with the VIN stamped clearly on the back of the block. Americans will get a four-cylinder Ford Mustang after all? [w/poll]
Sat, 09 Mar 2013Ask and you shall receive. Remember that previous report suggesting that the 2015 Ford Mustang getting a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and that it would be sold in Europe only and not the United States? Well, according to Road & Track, the rumor is only partially true - The Mustang will get the engine, but it is indeed coming to America.
Additionally, according to RT, the 3.7-liter V6 will continue to serve as the base engine, and since it offers up a stout 305 horsepower in its current form, it's likely that the 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost will produce a bit more than that. At the top of the range, the Mustang GT will continue to soldier on with a V8 engine, which should continue to send over 400 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Finally, while we agree 100 percent with RT's heartfelt request for a paddle-shift automatic, we certainly expect that the EcoBoost 'Stang will be offered with a manual transmission as standard equipment. This is a Mustang, after all...
A tribute to William Clay Ford
Tue, 11 Mar 2014The passing of William Clay Ford has been a big event for the company he spent most of his life helping run. Ford spent 57 years working for his family's company. Considering the Blue Oval has been around for over 100 years, WCF's passing is the end of an era for the Dearborn-based manufacturer.
Ford's YouTube channel has issued a short memorial video highlighting the life of the longest-lived grandson of company founder Henry Ford. It follows William Clay from his time as a boy, showing him alongside his grandfather, through his younger years, and into his twilight, as the patriarch of the Ford family.

Holy crime-fighting Ford F-150, Batman!
Thu, 18 Jul 2013What would Batman drive for his weekly trips to Home Depot for the bits and pieces needed to keep his lair deep below Wayne Manor in tip-top condition? Certainly not the Batmobile - there's no way a 4x8 sheet of plywood will fit between the wheel wells, not to mention the fact that jet turbine engines have an unfortunate tendency to set trailers on fire when towing...
No, what Batman needs is a pickup truck. The boys from Ford teamed up with Galpin Auto Sports to build just such a machine, and it has just debuted at Comic Con. Designed by Jared Barris, grandson of the legendary kustomizer George Barris, the 2012 F-150 pickup you see here, dubbed Crime Fighter, is painted Tuxedo Black with Ferrari Red highlights and is affixed with fins on each side of the truck bed. It's nothing if not unique.
Well, it's at least unique for now. According to Ford, Galpin in Southern California is willing to take orders for customers looking to don a cape and hit the town for a night of crime-fighting action. Or trips to Home Depot.
