This is a 1969 Ford Torino GT fastback that is a numbers matching 390ci, C-6 automatic car. This car is show ready and has zero rust anywhere and has had no patches put in the sheet metal anywhere. I have pictures of the inside of the quarter panels and inside the doors available to email to you if you would like more pictures. The car has working air conditioning and power disc brakes on the front. The wheels are the Magnum 500 wheels and it has an aftermarket exhaust system on it. It has the original rear end in it also and redline radial tires. The seats are an original style with red inserts sewn into them. It has a clean undercarriage also with no rust or patches in the floors or trunk either. This car was originally Indian Fire Red which was kind of a burnt orange color and was changes to the bright red that it is now. The paint color is the only thing not original to the car. I have included pictures of the VIN in the back of the head, the Marti report, the window sticker, and the rear end tag also. This is an excellent numbers matching car that can be driven anywhere, and is show ready! If you need more pictures feel free to ask. Thanks

Ford wins second consecutive International Van of the Year award with Transit Connect

Wed, 18 Sep 2013

The redesigned 2014 Ford Transit Connect isn't even on sale yet, but it's already making its presence felt around the world. At a commercial vehicle expo in Russia, the Transit Connect was named the International Van of the Year.
Ford's small work van edged out the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter by just seven points to allow Ford to grab this honor for the second consecutive year, which it won last year with the Transit Custom. Not only does this make Ford the first to ever win the award in back-to-back years, but it's also the fifth time the automaker has won this award since 2003 (two with the Transit Connect, two with the fullsize Transit and once with the Transit Custom). Ford congratulates itself for the accomplishment in a press release posted below.

Social media star Scott Monty leaves Ford

Thu, 22 May 2014

It seems weird to think that an automaker could have a social media star, but Ford does. Or at least it did. Scott Monty, its Global Digital Communications Manager, led the company's team for almost six years and forged a reputation as being one of the most talented people in corporate social media. But the guru recently announced that he would be leaving the automaker for an undisclosed job elsewhere.
"I just decided the time was right. I am going to take a little time with my family, and I am going to start on a new adventure pretty soon," said Monty in an interview with AdWeek. He also explained a little about his theory of how companies should use social media. In his opinion, it should be a chance to go beyond standard marketing and build a relationship with people. Businesses need to have a broad focus for its online message, and using just one service isn't enough to be successful.
Under his guidance, Ford expanded its Facebook presence significantly. According to AdWeek, it launched the 2010 Explorer on the popular site. Also, when the company wanted to investigate selling electric models, it initially gauged the public's reaction on Facebook and then advertised them there first. Monty has been a major supporter of Twitter as well to broaden the company's communication with the public.
