1969 Torino GT. Let me start by saying that this car has a Talladega front end on it BUT IT IS NOT A TALLADEGA. It is a GT. I bought this car as a roller a few years back. I had it soda blasted down to bare Metal, all rust (there was not much) was repaired correctly and had it painted Presidential Blue. The frame and underside was already done by the previous owner. I had a 351W - 4V (300HP) engine/heads professionally rebuilt and stuck a new Holley Carb on it. I put in a brand new clutch and matched it up with the correct 1969 wide ratio 4 speed top-loader trans. I put a new Hurst shifter on it too. The car already had a 9" Detroit Locker rear end with Ford racing disk brake conversion, this car has disc brakes all the way around. I put new air shocks and also new front shocks. It appeared that all of the front end was new from previous owner so I left it as is. It has power steering and power Brakes. (No Air Conditioning). This car runs very well down the road and has plenty of power too. The interior is mostly brand new, new headliner, fairlane door panels (Used on the Talladega model), carpet, etc. I bought a fairlane back seat and had the bucket seats re-done with fairlane material to match. Although Talladega model did not offer buckets, I thought I would at least match the materials used. Everything works, lights, heater, AM radio, Etc. I also installed a new gas tank, new brake lines, had the front and rear bumper re-chromed, had the sail Panel emblems and rear window trim re-chromed also. I bought the correct wheels and had them blasted down and painted and bought new trim rings and new Bf Goodrich Radial T/A tires. Most Everything on this car is new. I have put about 100 miles on it since completing. $1,000.00 down payment required within 48 Hours of end of auction. Balance Due within 10 days of end of auction. The car will not be released until funds have cleared the bank. Questions call Tom 608-212-9011 ( I reserve the right to end the auction early if sold locally)

Ford blamed in drug mule lawsuit
Tue, 30 Jul 2013If a college student is caught smuggling drugs across the border, one might think the kid got what was coming to him. But when a Mexican student at the University of Texas in El Paso was caught by Border Patrol agents with duffel bags filled with marijuana in his trunk, the man used a classic excuse: He claimed they weren't his.
While a claim like that is almost unbelievable, Ricardo Magallanes, the student, is now suing Ford for handling its vehicles' key codes negligently enough to allow drug smugglers to break into his Ford Focus and stash the drugs, The Daily Caller reports. The twist here is that four other people who lived in Juarez and worked in El Paso were involved in the same type of scheme - allegedly unwittingly, just like Magallanes - and all the cars were Fords except one model from General Motors. FBI agents also found an employee at a Dallas Ford dealership that had accessed the key codes to all four of the cannabis-stuffed Fords.
While we all may not own Fords, the case still causes us slight paranoia. We'll definitely be checking our trunks before we cross any more international borders.
How that awesome Mustang R/C car chase vid was made
Tue, 06 Aug 2013We've reported on a few R/C car chase videos in the past. One in particular that stands out as a favorite is Zach King's "The Cliché RC Action Chase." It featured a pair of Ford Mustang coupes racing through a cardboard city, plowing into outdoor patios and busting through construction zones. It was wonderfully creative and fun to watch, yet we know there was more to its creation than a bunch of guys fooling around with a camera one afternoon.
Turns out we were right, as evidenced by this video produced by Ford that takes us behind the scenes of Zach's creation. The young filmmaker explains why he chose the Mustang to star in his video, as well as how the cardboard sets were created, what equipment they used for shooting and what it was like when his video went viral. Ford found the young filmmaker and produced the followup as part of its Mustang Countdown video series, which will see a new video about the Mustang culture released every week until the original muscle car's anniversary on April 17, 2014.
Want to make an RC chase video of your own? Yeah, we do too. Watch the behind-the-scenes video below (you can refresh yourself on the mini feature film, too) before you get started.
