1979 Thunderbird with factory T-tops. I started this restoration about a year ago and don't have the time or space to complete it. Everything under the hood is new or rebuilt. I have receipts for $1,400 of engine rebuild work. The underneath was restored using a rotisserie. Most of the interior is done with the exception of the headliner. The headliner has come apart at the seam. It may be easier to repair this seam than find a new headliner so I left it as is. There are new brakes installed on the front and new brakes for the rear come with the car. All of the parts required to finish the car are there. I have collected multiples of some items. The car starts but does not have exhaust hooked up. I have the factory build sheet and original owners card. It has not been on the road in some time and will need to be put on a trailer. Are you the next Ford Edge? [UPDATE]
Wed, 13 Feb 2013What looks to be the next Ford Edge has been leaked in an apparent corporate Powerpoint presentation deck. Despite the thumbnail image's blurry and pixelated quality, it appears as if the next generation crossover will be staying close to its current aesthetic despite an all-new front clip with redesigned grille, headlamps, and lower fascia with integrated fog lights.
The upscale-minded Blue Oval CUV is due for a redesign in 2015, having just received a mid-cycle refresh for 2011. It isn't clear what changes lie beneath the new skin, either in terms of mechanicals or interior refinement, but we suspect Ford will be looking to put some distance between the next generation model and the new Escape, which is suddenly much more car-like and not that far off the more expensive Edge in terms of overall size, power or refinement.
