1966 Thunderbird Convertible
Starts and drives well. A real pleasure to drive! Here are the details: Swing away steering wheel Standard 390 cu in (6.4 L) V8 engine 84 K miles Average mechanically functional condition. Average exterior condition showing wear, see photos. Repainted approximately 10 years ago. Some defects in the exterior including small cracks in paint and small dents. Chrome is aged. Ball joints replaced last year. Car needs two hubcaps. Leather interior in good condition but missing a small piece of molding near center console driver's side, see photos. Rear plastic window has some paint on it, see photos. Some electronic components not working such as clock, reading lights, sluggish power windows. Electronic convertible top mechanism needs attention. It is functional but not reliable due to lack of use. Car is drivable and enjoyable as is, but it would require TLC to make the top and other electronics work well. This is an older restoration and not in show condition. I am selling this car for my father. Please contact him directly with questions or to view the car at 570-457-2482. Thank you for looking! |

Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 has a bit of a dyno issue
Tue, 28 May 2013We're of the mind that each and every dyno should come with Murphy's Law painted in big, visible letters down the side. For every ten successful dyno runs out there, it seems there's one where events to horribly wrong. Take, for example, the video below. The clip shows what happens when a Ford Shelby GT500 and a mobile dyno have a bit of a disagreement at the Performance Expo 24 in Sherbrooke, Quebec. We won't spoil the results for you, but we will say there's some substantial carnage involved.
It's unclear just how much damage ensues from the dust up or whether anyone was harmed in the incident, but from the looks of things, everyone made it out without serious injury. If only we could say the same for the machines involved. Check out the video below.

2014 Ford Transit unveiled in Chassis Cab and Cutaway versions
Fri, 08 Mar 2013As a leader in commercial vehicles here in the US, we knew Ford wouldn't take too long to show off the chassis cab and cutaway versions of its 2014 Ford Transit van. Set to go on sale this fall, Ford already revealed the full-body version of the Transit, and now it has pulled the cover off exposed-frame models just in time to to compete against the all-new Ram Promaster.
The term "chassis cab" refers to models with a fully enclosed cabin used for box vans or rental trucks, while cutaway models leave the cabin open behind the B-pillars for a pass-through on vehicles such as Class C motorhomes or ambulances. Both will offer three wheelbase options (138, 156 and 178 inches), the choice of single or dually rear axles, and plenty of upfitter-friendly touches including a pre-wired body harness and multiple body mount locations.
The new design will also help make upfitting a little easier since the fuel filler is now built into the cab (just behind the driver's door). Those integrated fuel filler necks will serve to feed either a 3.7-liter V6, a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, or a 3.2-liter Power Stroke diesel. Transit chassis cab and cutaways will wear varying Gross vehicle weight ratings from 9,000 pounds to 10,360 pounds depending on spec.
