1965 Thunderbird Convertible Honey Gold Color on 2040-cars
Beulah, Michigan, United States
This car was purchased "NEW" in Feb. of 1965 and has been a one owner car all these years. It has not been run in approx. 15 years, however it has always been garage stored. The last time it was run, it was backed out of the garage, only to discover the brakes did not work. Using a tree to stop, caused damage to the passenger rear quarter panel and the rear fender. For many years before this, the car was lovingly cared for and was Dad's pride and joy. The interior is in remarkably good condition and much of the exterior is good, very little rust . The convertible top needs to be replaced. This project car would be an excellent find for the true restorer. This is an "as is" sale, therefor we would be receptive to any inspection prior to bidding. There are no warranties or guarantees expressed or implied. Buyer would be responsible to arrange shipping, however we will accommodate a transport company for removal from the property. A $500.00 dollar deposit is due within 48 hours of the close of auction via PayPal. Cash or Money Order balance is to be made upon possession of the vehicle. The vehicle is nearly 50 years old. I cannot guarantee the unknown. It has been described honestly to the best of my ability .

Barrett-Jackson 2014: First production 2015 Ford Mustang earns $300k for JDRF [w/video]
Sat, 18 Jan 2014We've almost become immune to the huge dollar amounts that collectible cars earn for charity at Barrett-Jackson. To wit, $300,000 for the first production 2015 Ford Mustang initially didn't seem like very much money. In reality, though, it's probably about 10 times the actual asking price for the car, and we're pleased to report that 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
According to Ford, the car's winning bidder will get to "choose a fastback with manual or automatic transmission, and any interior, exterior and stripe color combination offered by Ford on the all-new Mustang." Power will come from a slightly revised version of the well-known 5.0-liter V8 engine that will produce "more than 420hp and 396 pound-feet of torque."
We snapped live images of the 2015 Mustang prototype that Ford had on display here at Barrett-Jackson, and you can check them out above. The official auction description, along with a video of the auction as it happened live, is below.

Thu, Jan 17 2019The 2019 North American International Auto Show might have been a little more quiet than past years, but there were still some pretty major reveals, including the Toyota Supra, new Ford Explorer, Shelby GT500, Subaru WRX STI S209 and Kia Telluride. We also saw some lovely concepts like the Nissan IMs and Lexus LC Convertible. Senior Editor Alex Kierstein, Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski and Senior Green Editor John Beltz Snyder join me, Associate Editor Reese Counts — with Social Media Manager Michael Dylan Ferrara behind the camera — on a long walk through the show. We discuss cars, poke around the stands, dress a bloody wound and answer your questions in the Facebook comments. Are you the next Ford Edge? [UPDATE]
Wed, 13 Feb 2013What looks to be the next Ford Edge has been leaked in an apparent corporate Powerpoint presentation deck. Despite the thumbnail image's blurry and pixelated quality, it appears as if the next generation crossover will be staying close to its current aesthetic despite an all-new front clip with redesigned grille, headlamps, and lower fascia with integrated fog lights.
The upscale-minded Blue Oval CUV is due for a redesign in 2015, having just received a mid-cycle refresh for 2011. It isn't clear what changes lie beneath the new skin, either in terms of mechanicals or interior refinement, but we suspect Ford will be looking to put some distance between the next generation model and the new Escape, which is suddenly much more car-like and not that far off the more expensive Edge in terms of overall size, power or refinement.
UPDATE: Substituted clearer image - thanks, Sean!
