1965 Ford Thunderbird, beautifully restored Remarkable Santa Cruz car to start with, never crashed, no rust; bought from the original owner and restored over four years. Ken Hedeira did the paint – amazing technology and craftsmanship. This car is a stunner. New: Front seat upholstery, door panels, carpet, windshield, rear view mirror, taillights and electronics, emblems, tires (shown), brakes, shocks, starter, carburetor, chrome valve covers, alternator, fuel pump, gas gauge and sending unit, heater core, exhaust, electronic points, coil, battery, hoses, belts, plugs, wires, and much more to make this car run like a top. Wow: The paint. The pictures do it justice: it’s just that amazing. Remote controlled doors with handles removed are the one truly modern upgrade on your grandfather’s T-Bird. Bomb threat closes Ford Romeo Engine Plant [UPDATE]
Thu, Jul 30 2015UPDATE: Ford has released the following statement about what's happening at the factory: "The Ford Romeo Engine Plant was reopened at 12:47 PM after law enforcement investigated and cleared the site. The afternoon and evening shifts are expected to report at their usual start times. Further questions on the investigation by law enforcement can be directed to the Romeo Police Department." Due to a bomb threat, Ford has evacuated its Romeo Engine Plant, and law enforcement is on the scene. According to the Detroit News, police with bomb-sniffing dogs are searching the building, which covers over 2 million square feet. Ford spokesperson Mike Moran wouldn't disclose to Autoblog how the threat was received but said that it came in between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. Eastern on July 30. "The day shift was sent home," he said. According to the Detroit News, the second shift was also asked not to come in. About 500 people work at the plant, Moran indicated. At this time, Moran said that there hadn't yet been an update from law enforcement whether anything had been found in their search. The Romeo Police Department confirms to Autoblog that it's handling the investigation. However, the authorities wouldn't comment further about what is happening at the plant at this time. 2016 Ford Mustang GT bringing back hood turn signals
Sat, May 9 2015The 2016 Ford Mustang is being teased again, this time with a short video. And what you're looking at here is a nod back to Mustangs of the 1960s. Ford is bringing back a hood with turn signals in the vents. In 1967, Ford offered an optional hood on the Mustang with two heat extraction vents that faced the windscreen. Inside those vents were amber turn signals, so, you know, drivers could see their own blinkers blinking. A novelty feature, sure, but a nice historical cue that Ford is bringing back for its updated 2016 'Stang. We also know that Ford will offer a California Special pack on the 2016 Mustang GT. Beyond that, we don't expect too many more changes, seeing as how the Mustang was just completely redesigned for 2015. Stay tuned for the full details on Monday, May 11. Related Video:
