Originally from Wyoming this 1964 T-Bird Coupe is an excellent example of a solid western car. The car has all of its original components ( motor, transmission etc.) and has not been modified at all. The exterior- The car looks to have most of its original paint but does show spots where it has been touched up but you really have to look close. A few dings here and there, but again, you have to be on top of the car to notice. The front of the hood has some chip marks where it curves down from stones. The roof is in excellent shape and the trunk is also. The inner lip of the trunk has surface rust spots on it as well as the underside of the hood. The inner bottom lips of the doors are the same but very solid. No holes anywhere on the car at all including the floors and trunk. The door jam openings are in nice shape and show their original paint as well. Car is very straight and corrrect with good lines and no waves. All of the glass is good without cracks. The chrome is in good shape and still shows lots of shine. As you will see from the pics, the front bumper has a slight curve in the middle of the bottom piece. All of the body side mouldings, glass trim etc. are in good shape.
The interior- The seats, carpet, door panels, headliner look all to be original. The armrests on the door panels on both side have small cracks in them. The headliner has one very small hole. The carpets and seats are in very nice shape for being original and the interior trim is in nice condition also. The pictures show the master switch for the power windows out of the car. A new switch has been installed and all windows are operational except the quarter window on the passenger side. The air conditioning blows but needs to be charged every spring. All of the gauges work including the radio.
Drivetrain- The motor, transmission and rear end are all in good working order with no known issues. The car runs down the road very well and has never given us any problem. The exhaust, tires, brakes, front end etc. were all checked out last year with its inspection and passed. We put approx. 300 miles a year on the car doing cruise-ins and shows. The farthest we have ever driven the car is approx. 200 miles to a show without problems.
We have a clear title in hand and we would suggest shipping the car to its new location unless you live a reasonable distance from us due to its age and the conditon of teh roads here in New York right now. ( snow)
Pre-sale inspections are welcome and questions prior to bidding are encouraged. All sales are final and without warranty. We can ship the car if needed but not outside a 300 miles radius. I can also store the car up to 30 days for free as long as the vehicle has been paid for in full. After that it would be 5.00 dollars a day for storage. Thank you for looking at our ad.

NHTSA investigating Ford Fiesta for faulty door latches
Mon, 15 Sep 2014The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has opened a preliminary investigation on the 2011-2013 Ford Fiesta because the regulator has received 61 complaints from drivers, including one claim of an injury, about the doors on the subcompacts failing to latch and sometimes even flying open while driving. NHTSA has estimated that the problem could affect as many as 205,000 vehicles.
NHTSA is still gathering further data about the problem, but looking at the complaints so far, both front and rear doors appear to be potentially involved with the alleged failures. Among the reports, there are 12 claiming that the door opened while driving. Several also indicate the "Door Ajar" warning illuminating during this problem. The one purported injury happened when someone attempted to shut the door, and it bounced back.
Ford spokesperson Kelli Felker told Autoblog via email, "We are cooperating with NHTSA on this investigation, as we always do." Scroll down to read the report from NHTSA.
2015 Ford F-150 spied in the rain
Mon, 10 Jun 2013Standing as quite a contrast from the spy shots of the 2015 Ford Mustang we saw earlier today, our spies also sent along these pictures of the next-generation F-150 pickup out testing in its (heavily camouflaged) full prototype body. Much of the new truck's design is hidden under the bulky coveralls, but we expect a lot of its new lines to be inspired by the Atlas concept that debuted at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.
Perhaps the biggest unknown surrounding the new F-150 is what, exactly, its body will be made of. Earlier reports have suggested that lightweight aluminum materials may be used throughout, offering a serious reduction in weight versus previous models. But Ford engineers will need to be careful, though, as they need to keep a tight rein on costs while preserving class-competitive (if not class-leading) towing and payload capacity.
On the powertrain front, the new F-150 will undoubtedly carry on with EcoBoost engines, and we'd bet on a normally aspirated V8 as well. A diesel option hasn't been confirmed, but we wouldn't be surprised to see one some time in the truck's lifecycle. Mum's the word on when the production F-150 will be revealed, but our best guess is that we'll see it at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show.
Ford Mustang SVT caught looking fierce on the 'Ring
Tue, 15 Jul 2014The next-generation Ford Mustang SVT is one of the most anticipated performance cars of the moment. We've already seen it testing multiple times, but it has always been covered is some very heavy camouflage. However, Ford has just given us our best view yet of the new muscle car. According to our spy photographer, the Mustang was at the Nürburgring for high-speed testing, which meant that the Blue Oval had to remove most of the heavy obfuscation that the SVT has worn previously.
The stylish, more revealing camo makes picking out some of the more interesting details about the SVT rather easy. Starting from the front, there is the big hood scoop to feed cold air to its still mysterious engine. You can also immediately make out the model's new grille and lower front air dam. It has a vertical piece running from the bottom of the hood all the way to the ground. The aggressive styling almost gives the 'Stang the look of two fangs ready to bite down. The hood seam is even taped off here, which shows us its outline.
Around the side, it appears that the front and rear fenders are wider than stock, and the sills are certainly much larger. You can also just make out the SVT's bigger brakes behind its black wheels with a polished lip. Finally, at the rear, things appear mostly stock other than the diffuser that the exhaust outlets nestle into.
