Exquisite 1955 Ford Thunderbird. This car was rebuilt and reconditioned to exacting standards. I originally purchased this vehicle from Turner Automotive in Victor, NY, approximately 15 years ago to add to my car and motorcycle collection. It has won several awards including Best in Show and Best in Class at shows in the Rochester area. The car is extremely attractive with a creamy white exterior. The interior is an outstanding red with white accents. This car has the original 6 volt system. It runs very well. It was my original intention to keep this car for my daughter when she grows up. Unfortunately, I was seriously injured in an accident last summer and can no longer drive or maintain a 3-speed manual shift car. Therefore, I am forced to part with this beautiful piece of machinery. The car was recently appraised for $54,000-$55,000. I have set the reserve much lower than this. From what I can ascertain the original mileage is just over 20,000 miles. The undercarriage is just as clean as the engine compartment and the rest of the car. No Prius Killer
As much as we enthusiasts like to rail on the lowly Toyota Prius as the harbinger of death for all we hold dear, there's no denying the machine's absolute and interminable grip on the hybrid hatchback market in the United States. Toyota has so thoroughly sunk its teeth into the segment that you can clearly hear the automaker's incisors clacking against one another with the conclusion of each financial quarter. And there's little wonder why. Buyers can plop down less than $25,000 and have a runabout that can return up to an estimated 51 miles per gallon in the city, leaving every other entry on the market with precious little gristle to gnaw on.
Enter the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. With its claimed 47 mpg combined, the funky little hatch from Europe already falls behind the 48 mpg city offered by the Prius, but that marginal sacrifice in fuel economy could be a small price to pay for buyers who want a credible alternative to the stalwart Toyota. Unfortunately, like the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid had trouble even approaching its Environmental Protection Agency estimates during our time with the car.

Most automotive purists fear change, but not without reason. Change, after all, did kill big-block V8s, along with most station wagons and manual transmissions. But change has also brought with it far more performance, safety and fuel economy - not to mention ridding the world of shag carpet interiors, bias-ply tires and those horrible motorized seatbelts of the early '90s.
By this time next year, the Chevy Corvette, Jeep Cherokee and next-generation Ford Mustang will all be on sale and will all, in some way, have angered or offended purists. To those critics, Mark Phelan of the Detroit Free Press is preemptively telling them to stop complaining - at least until they've all been driven. From the Corvette's square taillights and the Cherokee's radical nose to whatever pony car purists will harp on the 2015 Mustang for, Phelan's column points out the positives of automotive evolution and the negatives of staying the course for too long.
