Up for auction is a very clean 1999 ford Taurus 4dr with all the goodies. I'm selling it for a friend that recently had an accident with it and without full coverage insurance cannot afford to fix the car. It does run and drive and the a/c is still charged and blows very cold. As you can see it was hit at the fuse box and it broke the fuel relay or broke the wires to the fuel pump. I have a jumper wire going to inertia switch so it will run and move. Aside from the accident the car is very very clean inside and out! it has just over 114k miles on it and it runs extremely nice. This car was maintained to the T. It has new tires and oil change. Like the auction states its a clear title not salvage! All the electrical works, windows, lights, radio ect. There is no engine light on and it did NOT blow the airbags! The car will drive itself onto a transport but I wouldn't run it long as the radiator did get hit and doesn't hold fluid.
I have sold over 25 cars on eBay without any issues and to 3 countries, I would like this to be as smooth as the rest. You can call me at reasonable hours I will gladly answer any and all questions If there's no answer leave a message I will call you back. I work in a fast paced loud job but can call back asap. Dan 602-620-1295. I reserve the right to end auction early
This car is being sold as is with no warranty or guaranty of any kind. Seller takes no responsibility for car after auction end. Buyer is responsible for any and all shipping and/or transport fees and licensing transfer.
I will sell to other countries. The high bidder is responsible for all shipping arrangements and fees involved. Please do your research before you bid. I can help get the car loaded on a shipping container or towed to a dock in California but fees will apply.
Do not bid if you do not intend to follow through as there will be negative recourse. If you are new to eBay or with mostly negative or under 5 positive feedback you must contact me before bidding.
Payment: High bidder will need to make a deposit of $200 through PayPal or cash only within 48 hours of auction end. the balance is due within 7 days of auction end and will only be accepted in cash, bank transfer, certified cashiers check only. I will not accept the balance through PayPal or personal check.

2015 Ford F-150 brings big aluminum to the Rust Belt [w/video]
Mon, 13 Jan 2014Just when you thought you'd figured the fullsize truck market out, Ford goes and throws us a massive curve ball with the 2015 F-150. The big headline news aren't tow or payload ratings, though we're sure those figures will be fully competitive if not class leading, they haven't yet been announced. Instead, the big headline news Ford is highlighting are the truck's new aluminum-intensive structure and 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine.
And with good reason - all that aluminum means that Ford was able to cut a massive 700 pounds from the truck's curb weight. That is going to cause all sorts of great things to happen to the 2015 F-150's driving dynamics, performance and fuel efficiency, not to mention its ability to haul heavy loads. For those customers worried about the strength of aluminum versus the more conventional steel, Ford is quick to point out that many military vehicles, such as the HMMWV and Bradley Fighting Vehicle, use a very similar sort of aluminum alloy in their construction.
It's also worth mentioning that the backbone, a fully boxed ladder frame, is hewn from high-strength steel. Ford says "2015 Ford F-150 is the strongest and most durable F-150 ever," for what it's worth, claiming that "torture tested" in labs and in the real world for more than 10 million miles. What's more, the truck, in disguised form, completed all 883 miles of the Baja 1000.
Consumer Reports criticizes small turbo engines for misleading performance, fuel economy claims [w/video]
Tue, 05 Feb 2013Consumer Reports has taken aim at at small-displacement, forced-induction engines, saying the powerplants don't manage to deliver on automaker fuel economy claims. Manufacturers have long held that smaller, turbocharged engines pack all power of their larger displacement cousins with significantly better fuel economy, but the research organization says that despite scoring high EPA economy numbers, the engines are no better than conventional drivetrains in both categories. Jake Fisher, director of automotive testing for Consumer Reports, says the forced induction options "are often slower and less fuel efficient than larger four and six-cylinder engines."
Specifically, CR calls out the new Ford Fusion equipped with the automaker's Ecoboost 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The institute's researchers found the engine, which is a $795 option over the base 2.5-liter four-cylinder, fails to match competitors in acceleration and served up 25 miles per gallon in testing, putting the sedan dead last among other midsize options.
The Chevrolet Cruze, Hyundai Sonata Turbo and Ford Escape 2.0T all got dinged for the same troubles, though Consumer Reports has found the turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder in the BMW 328i does deliver on its promises. You can check out the full press release below. You can also read the full study on the Consumer Reports site, or scroll down for a short video recap.
NHTSA investigating Ford's solution to May 2014 power steering recall
Tue, Apr 7 2015The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is investigating a complaint that Ford's response to a May 2014 recall of the 2008 to 2011 Ford Escape and Mercury Mariner doesn't quite go far enough to solve a troubling power-steering problem. Roughly a year ago, Ford recalled nearly a million vehicles after it was found that a problem with the torque sensor's communication with the power steering control module could cut steering assistance for drivers. While manual steering would still be available, the problem was enough to ask drivers to report in to have the PSCM inspected, and if necessary, replaced (along with the torque sensor, or in dramatic cases, the entire steering column). That would only happen, though, if trouble codes were being thrown. If there weren't any problems, dealers were told to simply update the PSCM's software so that any issues between it and the torque sensor would simply throw a visual and audio warning – power steering would still be maintained. The petitioner claimed that following the recall work, he still experienced a problem with the torque sensor. According to NHTSA, a claim was made that Ford didn't go far enough in its solution to the problem, and that "the software update itself may in fact cause further issues with the affected vehicle's power steering, causing it to fail, and ultimately requiring replacement of the torque sensor or entire steering column." The petition was filed in early February and is now officially being looked into by NHTSA.
