Up for sale is a 1998 Ford Taurus SHO sedan. The car is a one owner vehicle in amazing shape! Black with Gray Leather interior, Automatic and fully serviced with a rebuilt transmission at 130,000 miles. Rare find in this condition!

This vehicle was owned by a woman in Utah who had bought the vehicle in 1998 with 8 miles on the title. She owned the vehicle her whole life and brought the car to Florida when she relocated. The vehicle has been strictly up kept and fully serviced its whole life. Due to a losing of her eyesight she sold the car. This car has been so well taken care you will have no complaints with the car.

The exterior is black and is equipped with SHO emblems, limited chrome wheels, dual exhaust, spoiler, heated mirrors, and body effects. The paint is in very nice shape and has been taken care of very well. The vehicle is remarkably rust free and shows little signs of being from the north. The underneath of the vehicle has been inspected and showed no rot or rust areas. The gaps and channels where water runs through are very clean and rust free also. The vehicle has a few minor scratches around the vehicle but nothing major. The driver side rear door has a few tiny dents (see picture). The exterior of the car is very straight, the doors shut and open very nice. The trunk and hood have no pinched areas and all the door locks work great. The vehicle is also equipped with a keyless entry remote and keypad entry on the driver door.

The interior of the vehicle is a grey leather with bucket seats and plenty of luxury features. The power seats work perfectly and have no issues. The vehicle console and dash is clean with no cracks or broken pieces. The stereo system sounds very nice and is equipped with a Casette player and a multiple disc CD player. The air conditioning works well, the fans and all the buttons all work without flaw. The gauges on the vehicle work with no issues. The carpet is in very nice shape with no stains. The floor mats up front are showing some dirt stains but nothing major. The driver seat has one small tear in the side of the seat which is very common over time. the driver seat and all other seats have no stains. The trunk is super clean and was lined with sheets to prevent stains. The headliner and sunroof are in very nice shape also. The headliner is not torn or sagging! the sunroof is not showing any signs of rust or leaking and after the vehicle was washed and sprayed down I found no leaks into the vehicle.

The glorious engine is in very nice shape. I replaced the valve cover gaskets and had the vehicle inspected prior to purchase and while it was being serviced. The vehicle is not leaking any fluids and the engine is extremely clean inside. There was no sludge buildup and the vehicle received a tune up the month prior. The vehicle starts right up and the transmission was rebuilt at 130,000 miles. The cam shafts were serviced and are welded cams so you don't need to worry about them. The engine sounds great and is very responsive and powerful!

All around this vehicle is in remarkable shape for its age. Its a rare find to find this vehicle with such little issues. The vehicle is a solid 8.5 out of 10, and I invite anyone to come see the vehicle. You will not be disappointed with this vehicle. If you were looking for a good vehicle for transportation or if you always wanted one of these race sedans here's your chance to own a beautiful example. Feel free to come visit the car and ask questions. I also included a picture of the window sticker for the vehicle with the photos. The car is located in Holly Hill Florida right next to Daytona Beach. If you have any questions either call or texts will do, I prefer text messages if you need a quick repose due to my work schedule. (386) 843-2495

Thank you for the interest,

For EV drivers, realities may dampen the electric elation

Mon, Feb 20 2023

The Atlantic, a decades-old monthly journal well-regarded for its intelligent essays on international news, American politics and cultural happenings, recently turned its attention to the car world. A piece that ran in The Atlantic in October examined the excesses of the GMC Hummer EV for compromising safety. And now in its latest edition, the magazine ran a compelling story about the challenges of driving an electric vehicle and how those experiences “mythologize the car as the great equalizer.” Titled “The Inconvenient Truth About Electric Vehicles,” the story addresses the economics of EVs, the stresses related to range anxiety, the social effects of owning an electric car — as in, affording one — and the overarching need for places to recharge that car. Basically, author Andrew Moseman says that EV life isn't so rosy: “On the eve of the long-promised electric-vehicle revolution, the myth is due for an update. Americans who take the plunge and buy their first EV will find a lot to love Â… they may also find that electric-vehicle ownership upends notions about driving, cost, and freedom, including how much car your money can buy. "No one spends an extra $5,000 to get a bigger gas tank in a Honda Civic, but with an EV, economic status is suddenly more connected to how much of the world you get to see — and how stressed out or annoyed youÂ’ll feel along the way.” Moseman charts how a basic Ford F-150 Lightning electric truck might start at $55,000, but an extended-range battery, which stretches the distance on a charge from 230 miles to 320, “raises the cost to at least $80,000. The trend holds true with all-electric brands such as Tesla, Rivian, and Lucid, and for many electric offerings from legacy automakers. The bigger battery option can add a four- or five-figure bump to an already accelerating sticker price.” As for the charging issue, the author details his anxiety driving a Telsa in Death Valley, with no charging stations in sight. “For those who never leave the comfort of the city, these concerns sound negligible," he says. "But so many of us want our cars to do everything, go everywhere, ferry us to the boundless life we imagine (or the one weÂ’re promised in car commercials),” he writes. His conclusions may raise some hackles among those of us who value automotive independence — not to mention fun — over practicalities.

Shelby GT350 to be auctioned for charity at Barrett-Jackson in January

Fri, Dec 26 2014

If you just have to be the first person in the world to possess the latest Ford Shelby GT350 Mustang, then you need to be bidding during the Barrett-Jackson auction in Scottsdale, AZ, on January 17. That's because Ford is offering the chance to own the inaugural production example of its latest premiere pony car there. The buyer of the first GT350 gets to choose from any color and all of the available packages for their car. Although, the real highlight is probably being among the first to listen to the 5.2-liter V8 under the hood with its flat-plane crankshaft. Ford promises that the mill makes over 500 horsepower and more than 400 pound-feet of torque. To sweeten the deal even further, all of the proceeds of the sale go to the JDRF, a charity that funds type 1 diabetes research. There's no reserve on the auction for the GT350 but don't expect a bargain. Last year, the first 2015 'Stang raised $300,000 for the JDRF at the Barrett-Jackson sale, and the initial Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 brought in $650,000 for charity. You can read Ford's entire announcement about the event below. FORD MOTOR COMPANY TO SELL NEW SHELBY GT350 MUSTANG AT BARRETT-JACKSON SCOTTSDALE AUCTION TO BENEFIT JDRF First publicly available production unit of the all-new Shelby GT350® Mustang to be auctioned by Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction, with all proceeds benefiting JDRF Winning bidder will be able to choose from available colors and packages for Shelby GT350 Ford-sponsored ride-and-drives during the auction will feature a full lineup of 2015 vehicles Ford Motor Company will commemorate the 50th anniversary of the legendary Shelby GT350 Mustang by auctioning the first production unit of the new-generation car available to the public for charity at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona. All proceeds will benefit JDRF, the country's leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes research. Live coverage of the auction of the Shelby GT350 will air on Velocity on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015. The winning bidder of lot No. 3008 – selling at No Reserve – will become owner of the coveted first retail production unit of Ford Shelby GT350, and choose from available Shelby GT350 colors and packages. In January 1964, Carroll Shelby and Ford Motor Company forever altered the automotive industry with the introduction of the GT350. It was offered through Ford dealers from 1965 through 1970.

2015 Ford Mustang stars in bizarrely awesome '80s aerobics video

Wed, 30 Apr 2014

For reasons we can't comprehend, here's a music video starring the all-new, 2015 Ford Mustang and a number of dancers dressed and styled in the most stereotypically 1980s way possible. The dancers then take part in a male-versus-female dance off. Again, we've no idea why it exists.
It's weird, and for the second time in two weeks, we're sat at our computer wondering, "What are we watching?" That said, it does show the new Mustang from a number of angles, and it's one of the first car-related YouTube videos we've seen that's available in a 4K, ultra-high-def stream.
Take a look below, and let us know what you think in Comments.
