1989 Ford Taurus Sho Sedan 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
United States
1989 SHO in very good condition, never wrecked, southern car. The car has been repainted a two-tone silver and red, and looks really good. 60K service at 191 K, including timing belt, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, wires, water pump and starter. Valves were adjusted and compression tested. Compression showed 210# or better on each cylinder. New rear struts and rear stabilizer bar links. New headlight assemblies. 16" slicer wheels with 205/60-16 BFG Traction TA tires in good condition. A/C works when charged but will leak down in the course of a summer. New front door and trunk weather strip. It has the original cable shifter, which works well. I have some extra parts, including a rod shifter kit. The current front seats are a shade of brown. You can see their condition in the photos. I have the original grey seats, (in about the sane condition) which I intended to get recovered, but haven't. All the seats functions are functional. Everything in/on the car works. The windows go up and down, the sound system is great (an Alpine unit. The iPod goes with it.). Keyless entry, automatic climate control, automatic headlight function. Full size spare, and extra set of 16" slicer wheels if you want them. I kept thinking I'd get to do some cruising, but all I ever do is work, so it might as well go to somebody who can play with it.

Ford starting up 2.0L EcoBoost engine production in Ohio
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Joe Hinrichs, Ford's President of The Americas (pictured above), announced today that in late 2014, the automaker will be building the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder at its Cleveland Engine Plant, a move requiring a $200-million investment and the hiring of 450 new employees. European-built Ford products will continue to source this engine from the Valencia, Spain plant where all of these EcoBoost four-cylinder engines are currently built, and the new Cleveland engines will be used for all North American-made models.
Ford is planning to build its popular EcoBoost engines regionally to maximize production capacity and meet customer demand. Last year, Ford sold 334,364 vehicles with EcoBoost engines in the US alone, and that number is expected to swell to more than 500,000 by the end of this year, with global sales expected to total 1.6 million. By 2015, Ford says that 95 percent of its nameplates will offer an EcoBoost engine.
One such vehicle that could be adding an EcoBoost engine, according to Automotive News, is none other than the 2015 Ford Mustang. The report says that Ford could use either the 2.0-liter EcoBoost or an upcoming 2.3-liter EcoBoost in the sixth-generation pony car.
2015 Ford Edge holds line on pricing, starts at $28,100*
Tue, 04 Nov 2014The Ford Edge gets an updated platform, bolder styling and a standard 2.0-liter turbocharged EcoBoost engine pumping out 245 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque for the 2015 model year. You might expect that all those new features would result in a big price bump, but you'd be wrong. Ford is keeping costs identical to the 2014 model with a starting MSRP of $28,100 (*plus an $895 destination charge), according to Edmunds. Ford spokesperson William Mattiace confirmed the numbers to Autoblog.
That's a pretty good deal, but the real ticket here might be the model's Sport trim. Buyers get a 2.7-liter, twin-turbocharged V6 EcoBoost engine with over 300 horsepower and standard adaptive steering for $28,600 plus destination. That's just $500 more than the base model.
Pricing for the Titanium trim has not yet been announced, but it'll be a short wait to find out. Mattiace tells Autoblog that full pricing and the configuration for the model will launch on November 5. He has also confirmed that the 2015 Edge will begin hitting dealers in the first quarter of 2015.
