This 1987 ford Taurus gl was driven  by my Mother inlaw untll about 3 weeks ago

she would drive this vehical to relatives over 70 miles one way on many occasions.

Her aunt bought  this new in 87 for over $14000 we have all the papers and then gave it to her

so she could drive to relatives and help out a couple times a month. My brother inlaw passed away so she no longer needs it because she doesn't drive anymore. I will tell you the things I know are wrong and if I do not get any interest they might

get it inspected and sell later. Ok my brother inlaw put a clamp on the drivers side door handle it works but can be easily fixed

right. The hood cover is in really bat shape and if I wanted a cheap vehical I would scrape it off and paint it I have

done that in the past. Paint job is faded  and needs battery. The inside is in pretty good shape it was dirty they

will clean it the best they can it really isn't tore up nice comfortable seats There are two rust spots I noticed on body they are

in pics. tires are pretty good need hub caps . I drove it for about 20 miles I would say it ran good motor sounded good, transmission

shifted fine, ac need some Freon, am/fm radio.Being a 1987 you have two choices you can get inspected or put historic tags

on it and it needs no inspection and tags are cheap either way it will never need emissions insp. I drove it from the house to my Brothers service center to make it easier on the family so you can get tags there and get inspected if that's what you want. If you put

historic tags on it you pay and go no inspection needed if your from MD. Here is a cheap vehical very rare being a 2 owner

with only 62000 miles 3.0 engine easy on gas even if you would put a paint job on it you would still have a cheap car

with low miles. Please don't ask if I think it will make it here or there I am not a expert all I know is she trusted to drive it

anywhere. NOW PLEASE READ VEHICAL MUST BE PAID IN FULL THROUGH PAYPAL BEFORE PICK UP NO EXCEPTIONS

YOU WILL HAVE 3 DAY'S TO PAY IN FULL AND THEN WE WILL SET UP A TIME THAT YOU CAN PICK UP

I AM VERY BUSY SO I WILL HAVE SOMEONE THERE OR YOU CAN GET TAGS THERE AND DRIVE.

2015 Ford S-Max adds all-wheel drive, adaptive steering

Fri, 03 Oct 2014

The Blue Oval's 'One Ford' mantra has seen rapid commonization of the automaker's products across markets, but North America still has to look from afar at most of the company's Max-branded people movers, including this new S-Max. That's a bit of a shame - we like the space efficiency and above-average driving dynamics of the C-Max models we do get, but seeing this updated seven-seat small minivan makes us want the One Ford initiative to extend even further.
The new model's changes include an updated powertrain range including a 1.5-liter EcoBoost four with 158 horsepower, and a larger, 237-horsepower, 2.0-liter model, along with a pair of revised lower-emissions 2.0-liter diesels. The big news, however, is the advent of available all-wheel drive, something that hasn't been offered since the S-Max first went on sale back in 2006.
On the technology front, the S-Max is the first European model to receive Ford Adaptive Steering, a variable-ratio technology we recently sampled in a prototype Fusion that is expected to go into production on the next-generation Edge. The S-Max also receives a new aluminum-intensive integral link rear suspension, packaged to continue to fit up to 32 different seating combinations. Safety equipment is always a prime concern in kinschleppers like the S-Max, and to that end, this new model receives pre-collision assist technology and LED headlamps.

Major Alexa deal will bring Amazon services into more cars

Wed, Jan 9 2019

Amazon and its personal assistance service Alexa are partnering with HERE Technologies to create a new connected mobility service powerhouse. Alexa will integrate with HERE's navigation and location services to offer what the two companies are calling a "true voice-first-navigation experience." Alexa will come pre-integrated with HERE navigation on-demand, which the automakers can then enable, which should help cut down on development time. One of the biggest features from this partnership is how directions could be offered and delivered using HERE's Open Location Platform (OLP). Currently, the OLP uses data from several car manufacturers to provide insights into real-time location and traffic. But on Alexa, this could be used to provide directional context. For example, Alexa could say, "Turn right after [such-and-such a building]" rather than just, "Turn right." Amazon has been testing the automotive waters throughout the past decade. Its home-based Alexa-enabled devices are already offered with connections to several manufacturers. To various degrees of integration, it can already pair with Ford, Genesis, Toyota, Lexus, Hyundai and BMW vehicles. At the end of 2018, Amazon took things a step further when it introduced the Echo Auto, a Bluetooth-connected Alexa assistant device that can be physically kept in a car. Currently only available by invitation (its production and distribution have been delayed), the $25 device is essentially a voice service that works together with smartphones and connects to a car's speakers. Users can command it to do a variety of things, including playing music, setting navigation, opening the garage door, finding local stores, making calls, setting reminders, and thousands of other "skills." According to The Verge, nearly 1 million people have already ordered the device. Some (well, probably few) may know HERE Technologies from its maps on Windows Phones. We all know how that turned out, though. Today, HERE has expanded into a multi-function suite that is available in multiple mediums, including many automotive applications. HERE Automotive's connected vehicle services include real-time traffic, parking, weather, fuel prices, hazard warnings, traffic sign integration, and even EV charging stations. These all incorporate and extend the use of HERE's location and tracking programming. HERE is already partnered with BMW, Audi, Daimler, Intel, Mobileye, NVIDIA, and has investments from Bosch, Continental and Pioneer.

2013 Ford Mustang V6

Mon, 10 Jun 2013

Secretary Trim, Evolved
There was a time not so long ago when opting for a base Ford Mustang meant getting little more than some sheetmetal, an anemic four-cylinder engine and what may very well have been the world's most disappointing automatic transmission. During the Fox Body years, Ford seemed hell-bent on living up to Carroll Shelby's derogatory description of the coupe as little more than a runabout for demure office assistants, and the result was a base model with fewer sporting intentions than a Dilbert day calendar.
Some 20 years later, hopping behind the wheel of an entry-level pony is an entirely different experience. With all of the menacing aesthetics of the brawnier GT, a well-equipped interior and a drivetrain that toes the line between efficiency and power better than few before it, the 2013 Ford Mustang V6 is an attractive option for buyers in the big coupe market. But is it attractive enough to forgo the beastly GT?
