2007 Ford Freestyle Sel Wagon 4-door 3.0l on 2040-cars
Barnett, Missouri, United States
I am selling our Freestyle that was my wifes car since we own it. We bought it in December 2010 with 129xxx miles. It now has just under 165xxx. Miles will change as we are still driving it. It has Nice Leather interior. 6 disc cd changer in dash. Is a 7 passenger, but have the second row bucket seats to go along if you want them. I had the windows professionally tinted in 2011. Tires are at 50% Tread. It also has a sun roof. This is a very family friendly car/suv. I hate selling it but due to the fact my wife wanted an Explorer now, I have to sell it! Just drove it on a 900 mile round trip last Month with NO problems. Had 4 adults plus Luggage and it still averaged 25mpg! Here local it easily gets 22mpg. Does not burn or leak any fluids. COLD a/c HOT Heat. Has rear air controls and his/her controls in front. To my Knowledge it does not need ANYTHING! BID WITH CONFIDENCE!! If you have any questions, Please give me a call at 573-789-0124. If I don't answer leave a message and I'll Call you back.

We spy the Ford Mustang King Cobra early at SEMA
Tue, 04 Nov 2014As is the case with most auto shows, waiting for the reveal of hot new models is the worst part. So, while our own Drew Phillips has been wandering the halls here in Las Vegas since they unlocked the doors for SEMA 2014, we didn't expect him to come back with any big reveals until later in the day. Until this happened.
Meandering by the Ford stand, Phillips eagle-eyed a trunk lid that caught his attention. Popping out from an otherwise draped 2015 Mustang, the matte black lid clearly has the name King Cobra embossed on the rear.
That name is interesting for a few reasons: to start, Ford hasn't used the Cobra name (without "Jet" attached) since way back in 2004, so a new snake is certainly something to take note of. Second, the King Cobra name dates all the way back to the ill-remembered Mustang II, meaning there is a clear link to Blue Oval history here.

VW going turbo-only in 3 to 4 years
Wed, 18 Sep 2013This really was a matter of when, rather than if. Volkswagen will apparently be the first manufacturer to phase out naturally aspirated engines in favor of turbocharging its full slate. VW is kind of responsible for ushering in this push towards small-displacement, turbocharged engines that's taken the industry by storm. When it dropped its direct-injection, 2.0-liter turbo in the 2005 GTI it demonstrated that strapping an iron long to an engine can enhance the powertrain as a whole. VW made fuel economy gains, while also giving a linear, non-laggy turbo experience that it has replicated, model-after-model, to this day.
Speaking with The Detroit News, Volkswagen's executive Vice President of Group Quality, Marc Trahan, told the paper that, "We only have one normally aspirated gas engine, and when we go to the next generation vehicle that it's in, it will be replaced. So three, four years maximum."
Really, it's hard to get teary-eyed about either of these engines going away. VW has access to smaller powerplants that could easily match the performance of the 2.5 five-cylinder and the 3.6 V6, while gobbling up less fuel and providing a better driving experience. What we are sad about is that a similar statement about the extinction of NA engines came from the Vice President of Powertrain Engineering at Ford, Joe Bakaj. We'd certainly get teary-eyed over a world without Ford's excellent 5.0-liter V8.
