2001 Ford Ranger, 4 functional doors, 4x4, 4.0 6 cyl, 5 speed manual, white with 116,200 miles... mostly highway.  The biggest engine they put in the ranger.  Plenty of power.  Truck was treated with respect. I have owned the truck from 54,000 miles and always let it warm up before driving. 4.10 gear ratio. 4 wheel drive Hi and Lo range work perfect. You do not have to lock hubs in manually just a switch inside.

Has a magnaflow muffler that sounds perfectly throaty like a v8.  Airaid throttle body spacer, Summit Racing Electric Fan, diamond plate bedside covers, Diamondplate tailgate cover, has plastic bedliner with tiedown hooks installed, real stainless steel bug deflector, American racing 15in rims on 33x12.5 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs with approx 90% treadlife left.  Also has hella 1000 pencil beams hidden behind front billet grill.  Professionally painted front valance, fender flares, and visor. Truck has a 3inch body lift. No Rust!

Alpine type S speakers in two front doors with alpine head unit 9847 plays MP3's...1 10" sub in back seat.  Carbon fiber dash kit, Truck has a topper to go with it with 33x12.5 spare tire mounted on top and 4 flood lights.  The pass side tailight is broken although all the lights are still working on it.

Truck is being Sold As Is.  This truck has run perfect for years so I can almost gaurantee no buyers' remorse.

Junkyard Gem: 1991 Mercury Capri

Mon, Sep 19 2016

Ford has gotten a lot of use out of the Capri name in the United States. First, there was the Lincoln Capri in the 1950s, followed by the Ford Capri Mk1 (which was sold by Mercury dealers in the USA but never actually badged as a Mercury). Then came the 1979-1986 Mercury Capri, built on the very successful Fox Platform and essentially a clone of the Mustang. Finally, in 1991, the Australian Ford Capri came to the United States. Here is an example of this rare car that I spotted in a Northern California self-service yard not long ago. Mechanically speaking, the 1991-1994 Capri was a Mazda 323 under the skin, complete with a member of the same B-series engine family that went into such cars as the Miata and Ford Escort. So, for a few years in the early 1990s, car shoppers who wanted a sporty Mazda convertible could choose between a Miata and a Capri. The Capri had front-wheel-drive, but could be had with factory turbocharging. These cars were reliable and fun, but had a tough time competing with the Miata in the showroom battles. You'll see the occasional example now and then, but most of the 1991-1994 Capris have met the same fate that awaits this one. Related Video:

Mulally to stay at Ford through end of 2014 at least

Fri, 06 Dec 2013

Alan Mulally isn't going anywhere... at least not just yet. The CEO who helped turn around Ford Motor Company has been linked to the top job at tech behemoth Microsoft, leading to a flurry of rumors about potential successors. Those rumors, though, may have just been put to rest - at least for a little while.
Speaking to Edsel Ford II (great-grandson of company founder Henry Ford) at the unveiling of the new Mustang, Automotive News Europe confirmed that Mulally would stick around until the end of next year. "Alan is staying through the end of 2014 and that's all I know," said Ford. "Frankly, he has told us that his plan is to stay with Ford through the end of 2014."
Presuming that Edsel Ford is correct and that Microsoft isn't so hot on Mulally that it saves the position for him, it seems increasingly likely that the 68-year-old exec is more interested in continuing to work in Dearborn rather than in Redmond.
