OVERVIEW:For sale by owner is this beautiful 2006 Ford Ranger XL. This truck has 113,192 miles, which is mostly highway commuting miles. This Ranger has a clean title with a perfect Vehicle History Report (see report at bottom of listing). This Truck is in excellent condition inside and out. It looks and drives like a brand new truck! This Ranger has been extremely well taken care of. Garage kept and always driven responsibly. Never taken off road. Never towed anything. Always cleaned and detailed regularly. It drives perfect with no issues or problems. No smoke, no leaks, no check engine or warning lights, no weird smells, nothing. All maintenance is up-to-date. This Ranger needs nothing and runs perfect. It starts right up every time and idles perfectly. The 2.3L inline 4 cylinder engine runs excellent. Very quiet with lots of pep. The automatic transmission shifts perfectly through all gears. The brakes work great with no noises or vibrations. The truck has brand new Goodyear tires on the rear and the fronts are newer General tires that have 80% tread left. The truck drives down the road straight with no pulling or shaking. It handles and drives great in all weather conditions, even in the snow. Suspension is quiet and has no issues. Truck has a factory towing package with trailer harness for lights but this truck has never towed anything and it has never hauled anything heavy. In fact the bed was rarely used. This truck gets great gas mileage and averages 28 mpg on the highway. The heat works perfect and the a/c is ice cold. Everything on the truck works great with no issues. The truck has no dents. no scratches. no rock chips, and no rust! This truck was detailed regularly and garage kept. All the glass is perfect with no chips or cracks. The wheels are super clean and still look brand new. The headlights are perfect with no scratches, cracks, haze, or discoloration (headlights are polished regularly). The front and rear Ford oval emblems have no scratches or chips and look brand new. The 3 Ranger emblems are mint and look new. The tail lights are spotless with no scratches, cracks, or discoloration. The grill and bumpers are perfect with no scuffs, dents, cracks, or scratches. All plastic trim is conditioned regularly to prevent fading and cracking. The tailgate is in perfect condition with no dings or scratches. The tailgate opens and closes perfectly with no issues. The truck bed and bed liner are super clean with no issues. The diamond plate Delta Tool Box is in great condition and works perfect. Truck comes with 2 keys for the tool box and it locks and unlocks perfectly. The side mirrors are mint and work great. The headlights, turn signals, tail lights, and license plate lights work perfect with no burnt out bulbs. The exterior is showroom clean!
INTERIOR:The black and gray interior is super clean as well. There are no broken or missing interior pieces. All buttons and gadgets work perfect with no issues. The bucket seats are very comfortable and still look great with very little wear. There are no cuts or rips on the seats. The rubber floor is clean with no rips or holes. The headliner and door panels are super clean with no issues. The windows work great with no problems. The dash has no cracks or scratches and is in perfect condition. The armrest/center console works great and moves up to seat 3 people. All 3 seat belts work perfect. The steering wheel is clean and looks great with no issues. The turn signal lever and shift lever work perfect. All gauges work great with no issues. The AM/FM Radio works great and sounds awesome with the Infinity speakers. The truck comes with the factory spare tire, jack, and tools. The engine bay is super clean too!
OPTIONS AND EXTRAS:This Ranger has the XL package. Ford faces class-action lawsuit for selling vehicles without brake override systems

A total of 20 Ford customers are suing the automaker in a class-action lawsuit for selling vehicles "vulnerable to unintended acceleration." According to Reuters, the suit names 30 models built between 2002 and 2010 with electronic throttle control systems but without a brake override system. Those include the 2004-2012 F-Series pickups and the 2005-2009 Lincoln Town Car. Adam Levitt, a partner with the law firm of Grant & Eisenhofer says the plaintiffs in the case want "to be compensated for their economic losses by having overpaid for cars that contained defects." Levitt contends that the plaintiffs would not have bought their vehicles or paid less for them had they known there was no brake override system in place.
Ford began installing brake override systems in its vehicles beginning in 2010. In response to the lawsuit, Ford has pointed to research by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration that indicated that unintended acceleration is mostly caused by driver error, saying in a statement that, "NHTSA's work is far more scientific and trustworthy than work done by personal injury lawyers and their paid experts."
Belville et al v. Ford Motor Co. will be heard in US District Court in the Southern District of West Virginia.

Worries over Brazil's electric grid mean EVs are excluded from green car incentives. As part of a new efficiency program, non-plug-in hybrids will be eligible for a reduction in import duties, while EVs and plug-in hybrids will not. Brazil's government is concerned that the country's grid lacks the capacity to handle the increased load from an influx of EVs. Brazil plans to create a new incentive program - perhaps a more inclusive one - when the current one expires at the end of 2015. Read more at Green Car Reports. Tesla could make SUV and wagon derivatives of the upcoming Model III sedan. Tesla's VP of engineering, Chris Porritt, told Auto Express that to reach as many customers as possible, Tesla would consider all its options. "SUVs, estates - who knows?" says Porritt. He also says that while the company is currently focused on products with a broader appeal, another Roadster or other sports car aren't out of the question in the future. Read more at Auto Express. Ford admits to a Tesla Model S teardown. Ford CEO Mark Fields says that after disassembling, reassembling and driving the model S, his company is "very familiar with that product." He also says the Ford has the capability to build a similarly high-tech, long-range electric car.
