Here we have a 1932 Ford Custom Pickup. I bought this on ebay over a year ago, it was built in California in the 60's had bobbed fenders, built on rectangular tubed frame, original unchopped top, grill , and shortened steel 32 bed bolted to the back of the cab, removes easily for engine removal if needed. Has Corvair engine, transmission, rear suspension and front suspension, steering column and wheel, Corvair dash, and brake pedal, master cylinder assembly. Done very nicely. Was put into storage in middle 70's and brought out last year. Had it shipped to Illinois, completely rebuilt motor with new mild performance camshaft, all bearings, rings, valve grind, push rods and tubes, new refurbished carburetors ($350.00), installed new alternator and regulator. Has new duel exhaust . Redrilled hubs to Chevy 5 lug wheels, all new wheel cylinders, master cylinder, shoes, brake kits. I believe from engine numbers that the Corvair components are from 1963. Removed bobbed fenders and installed 32 fiberglass fenders and made wood running boards with inlaid Ford step plates. Also has heater ducts into the cab and radio under seat. Don't know if Corvair radio works or not, there is a antenna under the cab floor. Complete paint job, has two spots that are pointed out in the pictures. This truck starts, runs, drives good. It has less than 200 miles since completion. Has good window glass, door windows roll easy and windshield folds out as it should. Also has new fuel tank in the front, and turn lights and H-4 Halogen bulbs in the new headlights. Imagine how this truck would look with chrome reverse wheels and baby moons. Truck originally had snap on naugahyde cover on truck bed lid.
I live in central Illinois, just east of Bloomington, Normal. You can call me with any questions at 309 724-8071 and leave a message if I don't answer I will call you back. This truck is being sold as is where is so please call with any questions before bidding. Selling due to health reasons.

Ford readying 2015 F-150 drift truck for SEMA
Sun, 19 Oct 2014Between the Mustangs you'd find in Formula D and the Fiestas in the Global and World rallycross championships, there's no shortage of Ford drift cars on the scene. But at the upcoming SEMA Show in Las Vegas, the Blue Oval automaker intends to show off a different kind of drift machine.
Created in collaboration with driftmeister Vaughn Gittin, Jr., this custom F-150 has been designed for "on- and off-road capabilities, as well as drifting and jumping." It's got a suspension with components from Kibbetech King and Air Lift Performance to give it 12 inches of travel and comes packed with 5 Recaro seats. Other details remain limited, but if the rendering above is anything to go by, it ought to be pretty awesome.
Alongside the Gittin truck, Ford will also be showcasing another F-150 designed together with freestyle motorcross rider Brian Deegan, packing the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine and a long list of enhancements. Between these two trucks, Ford hopes to extend its winning streak for the Hottest Truck award that it's taken four years running now. Feel free to read more in the press release below.
Ford Gets The Aluminum F-150 Ready For Prime Time
Wed, Nov 12 2014Russell Barnett, a Ford dealer in Tennessee, is ready for aluminum. Ford is using the metal almost exclusively in body of the 2015 version of its best-selling F-150 pickup, which starts arriving at dealerships next month. Barnett is already answering customers' questions about the truck. And he's updated his repair shop not only for the F-150, but in anticipation that other Ford brands such as the Mustang will eventually make the switch from steel. But, just in case, he ordered some extra steel-bodied 2014 pickups. "There will be some people who won't want to change for a while," says Barnett, who says pickups make up around half of the annual sales at his dealership in rural Winchester. Ford is doubling down on aluminum, which is lighter - and more expensive - than steel but just as tough. The new truck is the company's response to customers' requests for a more fuel-efficient and nimbler pickup. Fordhopes the advantages outweigh customer doubts about the durability of aluminum or potential repair costs for the pricier metal. It's a big risk. So far this year, one out of every three vehicles Ford sold in the U.S. was an F-Series pickup. Morgan Stanley estimates F-Series trucks account for 90 percent of Ford's global automotive profit. On Tuesday, it kicked off production of the new truck at its Dearborn Truck Plant, four miles from the company's headquarters. "Yeah, this is a risk, but it's one well worth taking." said Bill Ford, the company's executive chairman, as he stood alongside the assembly line. "For our customer, this is a big, big leap forward." The trucks have been the best-selling vehicles in the U.S. for 32 straight years; last year, Ford sold nearly 100,000 more full-size pickups than General Motors. Aluminum isn't new to the auto industry, but this is the first time it will cover the entire body of such a high-volume vehicle. Ford made 647,697 F-150 pickups at its two U.S. plants last year; that's one every 49 seconds. If Ford's bet pays off, it could pad its lead in the lucrative truck market. More importantly, aluminum "future proofs" the truck - and the company - in an era of rising fuel economy standards, says Karl Brauer, a senior analyst with Kelley Blue Book. Ford will announce the truck's fuel economy figures later this month. That could determine if it steals customers away from the Silverado or Ram. Truck buyers are among the most loyal in the auto market.
Ford ST Octane Academy [w/video]
Wed, 04 Jun 2014
The ST school is about more than just handbrake turns, hot laps, and sliding into parking spaces.
I felt like such a rock star. On my second pass around the UrbanCross course (read: fancy autocross) at the Ford ST Octane Academy, I absolutely nailed the exit, sliding the bright-yellow Focus ST sideways into a box the size of a parking space, all four wheels in line.
