This awesome F1 is a dream to drive! Powered by a rebuilt 350 corvette motor approximately 4000 miles and turbo 400 automatic transmission.This pickup cruises on a modern highway all day long.

Front end is sub-framed from a 70's nova, has power steering, power brakes, tilt wheel, high cooling aluminum radiator, ford 9in rear end, headers and dual exhaust.

Body is straight, solid doors, sills and floors with new door rubber, insulated cab, new fender rubber, and new fuel tank.

Interior has carpet, spoon sports seats, stereo, new oil, temp, and alt, gauges. Working factory vintage heater, and defrost hooked up. Also working wipers, windows are tinted and function. Speedometer is connected and works but needs a corrector which can be bought online. The speedo runs about 10mph fast.

Painless wiring system, with all lights and turn signals working with high beams and dash lights.

This truck is an earlier restoration so it does some cracks and chips in the paint, but as you can see, it is a looker and gets comments every time you drive it.

Ford profiles surprisingly affluent Focus ST buyers

It comes as no surprise when Ford says that 32-percent of Focus ST buyers are under 35, but we weren't expecting this: the average annual salary of Focus ST buyers is $127,000. Twenty-two percent of non-ST Focus buyers are under 35, while their average annual salary is $67,000.
We like the Focus ST because it has 252 horsepower, is genuinely fun to drive and offers great value for performance-minded car enthusiasts; facts that are not lost on customers, it seems. Ford says that the Focus ST has the highest percentage of conquest sales for a non-hybrid model it sells, and that the top-four trade-ins are from Honda, Chevrolet, Mazda and Toyota. Demand for the hot Focus is strongest in Los Angeles, Detroit, Houston and Orlando.
"[The Focus ST is] having this kind of halo effect for other vehicles we'd hoped for when we invested in the ST brand," says John Felice, vice president of US marketing, sales and service, because it's helping to boost sales of other Ford vehicles.

Former Cadillac boss Butler takes Ford tech job

When Don Butler made the surprising decision to leave his post as Cadillac's VP of global strategic development, it was a surprise. Citing a desire to "recalibrate, reassess my priorities" in that August announcement, it wasn't entirely clear where Butler - a virtual General Motors lifer after spending nearly 30 years with the company - would end up. Turns out he took a trip to Dearborn.
Butler has taken a position in the newly created position of Executive Director of Connected Vehicles and Services at Ford, where he'll be responsible for the Blue Oval's global connectivity strategy. "Not only does Don understand the connected car landscape, but probably just as important, he understands customer expectations," said Raj Nair, who, as Group Vice President of Global Product Development, is Butler's new boss. "Having a leader with technology experience both inside and outside the industry is a rare combination - we're excited to have Don join our team."
As Ford has received its fair share of flak for the sometimes recalcitrant MyFord Touch infotainment system and its Sync voice-controls, it appears that Butler has his work cut out for him.
