This is a very solid F Super Duty that runs good. This model was sold from 87-89 and was the heaviest standard cab chassis Ford ever made. Fuel Injected 7.5L V8 and rear wheel drive. Rear GVW is 11,000 and Front GVW is 6000. Combined GVW is 14,500. It's a 2 DR, XL trim cab, 137" Wheelbase, no cracks on dash, painted floor, with good AC and upgaded CD player. It's a work truck, but all there and in good overall condition. It has a perfect Carfax with no accidents.
The truck has a very strong clutch, excellent brakes, the ball joints and tie rods have all been replaced. The front and rear shocks and battery were just all replaced in the last few months and the alternator was new last week. It has a 5 speed manual trans and will pull ANYTHING. These trucks featured dual tanks with dash control selector switch, 10 Lug Wheels, Rockwell solid front axle, 4 Wheel Disc brakes, etc. It does need a little maintenance. The exhaust is a little leaky in a couple spots but has been that way for a couple years and the heater core was bypassed years ago. It also needs at least the inner rear tires. All lights work.
The cab was repainted with the original white a few years ago and looks very good. The chrome is all in great condition as well. This would make a very nice hot shot truck for pulling heavy trailers, or make a custom hauler or construction/farm truck. Thanks for looking!

2015 Ford F-150 specs revealed, EcoBoost 2.7L to make 325 hp and 375 lb-ft [w/video]
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Our new man Greg Migliore is in attendance at a Ford media event at the Blue Oval's Dearborn, MI headquarters today, and he's reported in with a handful of the 2015 F-150 stats that we've been dying to know. Ford is slow-playing the news release here, but we can still offer up some interesting output and performance figures after half-year of waiting.
We have all be quite aware that Ford's shift to aluminum construction would save a lot of weight for F-150 models, and the results we're hearing now are duly impressive. For instance: in Super Crew trim, a 2015 F-150 is a whopping 732-pounds lighter than was its closest 2014-model-year equivalent. That's like hauling three middle-aged dudes to your bowling alley's league night for free. Polish your balls, guys.
Ford isn't willing to offer up any actual curb weights just yet, but if we take that 732-pound loss and extrapolate with the 5,128-pound curb weight of the 2014 F-150 Super Crew with the 3.7-liter V6, we can guesstimate that 2015 models will measure out in the 4,400-pound range. That's impressive.
Ford blimp crashes inside Portland Trail Blazers arena
Fri, Dec 5 2014Portland basketball fans got a free, very safe recreation of the Hindenburg disaster when a Ford airship crashed into the stands during a game between the Trail Blazers and Indiana Pacers. Reportedly no one was hurt, but arena staff trying to push the inflatable vehicle through a hole it was too big for, made for some fantastic video and photos. This content is hosted by a third party. The first gives an idea of just how hard it was to fit the blimp through the exit of the arena, and the second is a time-lapse look from someone right next to the action. All these clips need is Yakety Sax as background music for some true Internet gold. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter and Ford Transit can haul on the track
Tue, 19 Aug 2014Line up any two comparable vehicles, and eople are going to want to race them. Need proof? In its latest track battle, Auto Express wants to know which commercial vehicle can lap a circuit faster - a Ford Transit or Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Let's face it, neither of these European vans were ever meant to be near the track unless they are delivering a racecar and a ton of parts for a fun weekend, but it's massively fun to watch them give it a go anyway.
The one thing that Auto Express really illustrates here is the modern marvel that is stability control. The driver hops curves, and these big vans lean in the corners like your friend walking home from a long night at the bar. However, because of the amazing stability systems, the vans mostly keep all of their wheels planted and never seem close to getting sloppy, despite their behemoth size.
Unfortunately, the two vans aren't exactly fairly paired. The Ford has a dual rear axle and a few other advantages over the Mercedes, but it's still hilarious to watch them go. Even better, the host breaks down everything happening behind the wheel like these commercial vehicles were two Porsches. Enjoy watching this very unorthodox battle between Ford and Mercedes.
