I WILL GET PICTURES THIS EVENING! You are looking at my project truck ive had for about the last year. Started life as a standard 2.3 ford courier, I removed that engine and installed a 2.3 turbo engine with all related parts from a 1984 ford thunderbird-using the stock truck transmission. The exhaust was professionally done and ive been using the truck as a daily driver for about the last year. It needs some work for sure like it needs and electric fan wired up and the turbo waste gate actuator could use being replaced. Its running 13 lbs of boost right now with no issues It is an old truck so there is some rust and the windshield needs replaced. Shes no show truck as the pictures will show. I will be glad to answer any questions as they come extras with the truck are: new stage 2 clutch kit rear end with a lower ratio for better freeway rpms a/c kit removed from another courier includes under dash vents and misc parts minus compressor spare instrument cluster spare intake manifold from a merkur including mas sensor ranger roller cam with rockers im sure theres more I will add as the day goes on. I needed an extra cab truck for the kids so this truck just sits now my reserve is 800 I would feel free to drive the truck home if your within 75-125 miles of me but ive never taken it further than that I will do whatever is needed to help with shipping |

Ford, Ram in heavy-duty towing spat
Mon, 28 Jul 2014Every pickup truck commercial has the brand trying to convince us that its model is the biggest, brawniest vehicle on the block. But Ford and Ram appear ready to really throw down the gauntlet and scrap over the towing figures for their heavy-duty models, and it could potentially end up in court.
The issue revolves around what it means to be best in class. Ford claims that its 2015 F-450 (pictured above) has a max tow rating of 31,200 pounds, compared to 30,000 pounds for the Ram 3500 (right). However, both companies market these heavy haulers as having the top towing in their class. According to Automotive News, Ford is threatening legal action if Ram doesn't back down.
The situation isn't as simple as just comparing the numbers, though. First, the two companies calculate their towing capacities differently. Ram adheres to the SAE J2807 rating, while Ford uses its own internal system. Although, as the company introduces new models, they are certified using the SAE standard. "When an all-new F-Series Super Duty is introduced, it also will use SAE J2807," said Ford to Autoblog in an emailed statement.
2015 Ford Mustang already under recall, but just 53 units
Sun, 19 Oct 2014Ford has issued a small - but significant - recall for one of its spotlight cars: the 2015 Mustang.
The recall affects just 53 cars, with 50 in the United States and three in Canada. Ford said the passenger side safety belt buckle tension sensor may not have been calibrated properly by the supplier. This could lead to "misclassification" of the passenger seat occupant, and could cause the airbag to deploy improperly.
A Ford spokesperson didn't immediately respond to a request for comment. In a statement, the automaker said it is not aware of any accidents or injuries, and dealers will replace the buckle assembly at no cost to customers. The cars affected were built at Flat Rock Assembly Plant in Michigan from Aug. 18 to Oct. 2.
Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.
Take a look below to see just what it is about the latest batch of infotainment systems that grinds CR's gears. After that, scroll down into Comments and let us know if you agree with the mag's views.
