Now the chassis is a work of art. It has been fully custom made. All parts have been laser cut, water jet cut and hand crafted. This is a one of a kind and all is done to perfection. It is about 90% done. Frame still needs some finishing welding. This truck is a project which needs to be finished but most all the difficult parts has been completed. Have most all the parts to get her going. Do not have the windshield or back glass. Everything on the truck is new. New wheels and tires, Griffin custom cross flow radiator with electric fans custom installed, new chrome column which still needs install, new 60\40 bench seat, power brake unit, all lines like brake, tranny, fuel all out of stainless steel, complete wire harness, power window kit, power door lock kit, Msd ignition, and much more. Engine is a Chevy 396 built very strong and has been broke in and ready to rock. Has 526 miles on it. Have a turbo 400 tranny built bad ass with a 3500 hole shot stall converter. Has 3 inch stainless exhaust complete wit stainless flow master 2 chamber mufflers.Truck equipped with 4 wheel disc brakes. The rear end is a ford 9 inch and have new 488 posi track 3rd member. Custom stainless gas tank with holley pump and regulator. Truck is a truly one of a kind and will be a bad ass truck once complete. have no time to finish and don't want to waste away sitting around. Ford GT to be revived, Le Mans battle upcoming

Ford dominated the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1966 to 1969, scoring four consecutive wins. Wouldn't it be great if the Blue Oval could go back to France for the 50th anniversary of that performance and show it can still compete in international endurance racing? Actually, the latest rumors indicate that could be exactly the case, and the car taking that checkered flag could be another revival of the Ford GT.
As the rumblings go, Ford wants to use a new supercar to take another crack at Le Mans, after considering some other possible alternatives. Substantiating these musings are reports that a Blue Oval rep was reportedly on hand for a recent meeting about 2016 GTE-Class rules, according to Road and Track. That would put the new GT in the same racing class as the Corvette, Ferrari 458 Italia, Porsche 911 and others.
It's not all about racing, though. If you win on Sunday, you want something to be able to sell on Monday. The revived GT is reportedly still a mid-engine supercar, but the exact engine is unclear. It's possible that it could even be shown or announced at the Detroit auto show in January, according to Motor Trend.

Fitting Retirement: Grand Marquis last Mercury off the line

The signs have come down and retail production ended back in October of 2010. Now, the very last Mercury model has rolled off the assembly line. This last Mercury somewhat fittingly takes the form of a Grand Marquis reporting for fleet duty. It was built at the St. Thomas plant in Ontario, Canada, which is the same facility that continues to produce the Ford Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car for fleet and livery duty.
St. Thomas' days are numbered, however, as the factory is slated to close on August 31. When it goes, the Panther platform is likely to follow. So long, and thanks for all the fish memories.

Top Gear pits Hennessey VelociRaptor vs. Range Rover Sport SVR

As a television series, Top Gear is in limbo with an intent to return, but no hosts yet. However, it's magazine and website continue to bring us clips like this one. While the video might lack the show's charismatic hosts, this is an opportunity to see a drag race between a Land Rover Range Rover Sport SVR with 550 horsepower and a Hennessey VelociRaptor with 623 hp. The duel between these two supercharged V8s definitely sounds great. Both rugged models start at the line growling angrily at each other like dogs ready for a fight. You have to watch the clip to see whether the more powerful VelociRaptor feeds on the SVR, though.
