1952 Ford F7, Factory Lincoln Motor, 10k Original Miles, Hot Rat Rod Pantina on 2040-cars
Hutchinson, Kansas, United States
Only 10,000 original miles on this truck! Pretty cool Hot Rod Ford with a Lincoln motor! Great Pantina! This truck starts, runs and drives great, 10K original miles on this truck, it was drove from South Dakota to Kansas City a couple years ago without any issues Original OHV 279 Cargo King Lincoln Y block motor (not a flathead), this was an option in the F7 and F8 in 1952. Five speed manual transmission. Gauges all work. Key works well with ignition and door lock to be able to lock it up Windows roll up and down nice, latches work very nice! Original seat, headliner, floor mat, and dash all in good shape. The water tank has been removed leaving the original oak floor in the bed. Pump is still in tact but untested. This firetruck was made by the Luverne Firetruck company. The front tires look really good, the rear are weather checked and worn but made the trip. The only spot of rust I could find is at the seam on the front of the left front fender. Glass is all in good shape for its age. Has nice ID numbers on cab, motor, and frame with clear Kansas title. VIN inspected If a person trimmed down the sides a little it would make a great looking vintage wrecker or would make a very cool rat rod! 158" wheel base, I have hauled this on an 8 lug double axle 20' trailer without any problem. I plan to keep my 100% feedback, so feel free to ask any questions! Stan 316-737-2753 Please check out the youtube video’s below! |

This Or That: Fiat 500 Abarth vs. Ford Fiesta ST [w/poll]
Thu, 21 Aug 2014
They're pretty darn similar. And yet our views are oh so different.
If you guys could read the transcripts of our editors' chat room, you'd know that we're a pretty argumentative bunch. It's always good-spirited stuff (well, usually), but when we're not obsessively covering this or that, we're usually fighting about one car being better than another. We're all enthusiasts here, and our automotive tastes run the gamut from the weird and unusual to the decidedly mainstream - we all feel strongly about specific cars in a given segment. While it usually makes for good conversation, if we're passionate enough, it can turn into a tomato-throwing showdown.
Ford S-Max Concept previews new look, technology for Euro seven-seater
Wed, 28 Aug 2013Ford unveiled today the S-Max Concept, which comes with a new, sleek look and loaded with innovative technology, such as a heart-rate monitoring seat. But if you're heart is set on a minivan sports activity vehicle (SAV) and you live in the States, don't wait for this one - it's a Europe-only product, and we don't expect that to change when the next-gen S-Max is released.
The styling follows Ford's global design language, looking a bit like an overgrown Focus hatchback with the company's signature grille, wraparound headlamps, steeply raked windshield and curved roof line. Ford also implemented details to make the S-Max look longer and faster, such as a feature line on each side of the vehicle and muscular-looking fenders. The engine isn't Ford's most powerful, but the new 1.5-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine should be potent enough with turbocharging and other efficiency related technologies.
Ford says the new interior, which seats up to seven people, features high-quality materials and fine detailing, such as an "ultra-soft" leather wrap for the instrument panel and leather and carbon-fiber details on the seats. Ford's Sync connectivity system with MyFord Touch makes the car a wireless hotspot, and there's a tablet docking station for second-row occupants.
eBay Find of the Day: Mk1 Ford GT40 with interesting history
Sat, 03 May 2014You might expect a rare Ford GT40 to cross the block at some sort of prestigious auto auction from RM or Gooding, not show up on eBay for over $2 million. However, that's exactly what we have here. The seller claims the car is a late-build Mk1 GT40 from 1969, and it's currently owned by the director of the Hublot watch company in Switzerland.
According to the listing, GT40 #P1108 started life as Mk1 car that was built from factory spares in 1969 and was first sold in 1971. However, the auction is somewhat confusing. According to an image in its gallery, the vehicle was actually built from one of the seven spare Mk3 tubs when production of the iconic racers ended.
This GT40 was never built as a racecar - it lived on the streets its whole life. After assembly finished, it was sent to Germany and was eventually registered for the road. The first owner kept the car until 2005 and sold it with 7,300 miles on the odometer. The current owner bought it in 2012.
