Up for bid is my 1952 Ford F1 pickup. I would love to keep it and cruise it around but the land lord says I have to many cars so it must go. Here is a list of what has been done: - The top was chopped two inches -Blue metal flake roof -shaved trim -Lowered (axles swapped to top of spring) -New wood in bed -Crate Buick 350/350 trans -new aluminum Radiator -1951 Lincoln carb adapted to fit the bigger two barrel -Ford 9 inch -Metal flake grille -New wiring -1950 Packard taillights -Shaved bumpers -California Rust free car -Plymouth hood ornament This truck is a perfect running, driving custom truck that gets a lot of attention every where it goes. The body is not perfect but is good for a driver. The suspension feels like a stock truck and goes down the road straight. Like an idiot I accidentally cracked the front window putting it in, fortunately its only on the passenger side and its only flat glass so its very easy to get new glass cut for it, I spend forty dollars for it. The door glass is not installed but the passenger side is cut. All the other glass is there, wing windows back and front. I got the motor from a friend who told me it was a crate motor that was purchased in the 90s for his 54 merc but someone told him a chevy was better so it was pulled out. The motor supposively has only 1500 or so miles, but I have no way of proving this, but it runs very strong and shifts great. Before I got the truck someone had put ford 9 inch in. The top was chopped 2 inches with leaning the back window forward slightly to make up for the shorting of the roof. There is no overlayed metal and everything is completely welded. The 1950 Packard taillights were trimmed to fit the curve of the rear fending and give it a very custom look.
Here is a video of the truck on youtube: http://youtu.be/PYPluECUKV0 More photos of the truck and pictures of it being chopped can be seen on my photo bucket page: http://s929.photobucket.com/user/mengestwincustoms/library/?sort=3&page=1
International buyers are welcome. Buyer is responsible for shipping. The truck is located in Atascadero, California.93422 If you have any questions please feel free to call or text 8O5-8O1-9541 -Scott

Ford recalls over 500,000 trucks and SUVs, including Explorer, F-150, and Lincoln Aviator
Fri, Aug 30 2019For the second time in a month, Ford is recalling the brand-new 2020 Explorer and 2020 Lincoln Aviator for minor safety issues. This recall, which also affects certain 2018-2020 Ford F-150s, 2019-2020 Ford F-Series Super Duty trucks, 2018-2019 Ford Explorers, and 2019-2020 Ford Expeditions, pertains to potentially faulty seat-back reclining mechanisms. In total, the recall touches 550,186 vehicles. A mechanical part meant for relaxation and comfort has the Ford Motor Company stressin'. Ford says potentially affected vehicles might be missing the "third pawl required for seat-back strength" in the reclining mechanisms on certain seats. Because of this, the seats might not properly keep a person in place during the event of a crash or otherwise. In the F-150s, F-Series Super Duty trucks, 2018-2019 Explorers, and Expeditions, the recall affects vehicles with manual driver and/or front passenger seat-back recliners. On the 2020 Explorers and Lincoln Aviators, rear outboard seats with manual recliners are of concern. Of the more than 550,000 vehicles, 483,325 vehicles are in the United States, 58,712 are in Canada and 8,149 are in Mexico. Thus far, Ford is not aware of any injuries from the issues. Ford says it expects most vehicles will not need repair, but dealers will inspect the seat structures out of precaution. If fault is found, dealers will replace the seat structure altogether. For this recall, Ford's reference number is 19C07. Contact your dealer for more information. Featured Gallery 2020 Ford Explorer View 47 Photos Recalls Ford Lincoln Truck SUV

Woman trades 1914 Model T in for 2013 Corvette
Wed, 17 Apr 2013We're sure that dealers must see all sorts of interesting trade ins, but this one may take the cake. Red River Chevrolet in Bossier City, Louisiana, recently had a customer come in with an odd request. Tina Boyter wanted to trade in three vehicles on a brand-new 2013 Chevy Corvette. Among the hardware was 1980 Corvette, a 1978 Cadillac Eldorado and a 1914 Ford Model T. While the '80 Corvette had been her personal car for years, the '78 Eldorado had belonged to Boyter's mother before she traded up to a Lincoln. The big Caddy had just 10,290 miles on the clock when it was traded in.
And the Model T? Boyter says the car was built as a racer by Ford, and that it had been a show winner for years when it belonged to her father. But, after spending the last 16 years in a museum with its fluids drained, Boyter decided it was time to shed some of the past. She walked into the dealer, laid eyes on a white 2LT Corvette with a red interior and offered to trade all three of the vehicles in on the sports car.
Why not wait for the C7? "I fell in love with that one when I walked in the door," She said. We can't fault her there.
