Up for bids with no reserve is my 1952 Ford F-1 1/2 ton pickup truck. Starting at the front of the truck, the front bumper, grill, and valence sheetmetal is in good solid shape. The hood is solid with very nice five star hood side emblems. The windshield has the five star option stainless trim around it. The front fenders do have the rust in the typical spots. The drivers door is solid, with a little rust in the lower front. The passengers side door has some rust in the bottom. The glass is mostly broken except the back window. The gauges are all there as well as the rest of the dash chrome, glove box door, and ash tray. The heater is there and appears to be in good shape. There was a little rust in the front floor boards which has been replaced with patch panels. The seat and gas tank are in average shape, very usable. The running boards have typical rust, which is probably repairable with a good metal man, The back of the cab is solid except for a couple of small rust spots in pictures. The bed is solid as well as the fenders, which do have some rust in the front where the running boards mount to them, and the back of the fenders have some rust toward the top. There is a solid piece of metal in the bed. The tailgate is average with some dings and surface rust. Overall, a very restorable and desirable Ford F-1 five star truck. There is no motor in the truck, but I have a flathead that can go with it. It is a 59 AB in pieces. No transmission. The title is missing. Will be sold with a bill of sale. The truck is for sale local as well. If you are interested in the truck, it can be bought before auction ends. Call me at 316-323-4737 or E-mail me to discuss options. Buyer is responsible for shipping. Will assist as much as I can. Being sold as is, where is. If questions, please ask.

2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid
Thu, 02 May 2013No Prius Killer
As much as we enthusiasts like to rail on the lowly Toyota Prius as the harbinger of death for all we hold dear, there's no denying the machine's absolute and interminable grip on the hybrid hatchback market in the United States. Toyota has so thoroughly sunk its teeth into the segment that you can clearly hear the automaker's incisors clacking against one another with the conclusion of each financial quarter. And there's little wonder why. Buyers can plop down less than $25,000 and have a runabout that can return up to an estimated 51 miles per gallon in the city, leaving every other entry on the market with precious little gristle to gnaw on.
Enter the 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid. With its claimed 47 mpg combined, the funky little hatch from Europe already falls behind the 48 mpg city offered by the Prius, but that marginal sacrifice in fuel economy could be a small price to pay for buyers who want a credible alternative to the stalwart Toyota. Unfortunately, like the Fusion Hybrid, the C-Max Hybrid had trouble even approaching its Environmental Protection Agency estimates during our time with the car.
2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility of the Year entries announced
Wed, Jul 6 2016Over 40 vehicles will compete for the 2017 North American Car, Truck, and Utility of the Year awards. If that name looks a little strange, it's because the competition added a third category. In years past, pickup trucks, crossovers, SUVs, commercial vans, and minivans competed for the same award. That's why there were occasionally weird comparisons, like last year's competition between the Volvo XC90 and Nissan Titan XD. The new format separates pickups and commercial vans into the truck contest and CUVs, SUVs, and minivans into the utility competition. A complete list of eligible vehicles is below, but here are a few highlights. For one, the entire list of entries has a luxurious lean. Of the 43 vehicles, nearly half of them are from premium brands. There are two eligible Bentleys – the Bentayga and Mulsanne – the Rolls-Royce Dawn, Jaguar F-Pace, Audi Q7, and the Mercedes-Benz GLS-, E-, and S-Class Maybach. The performance ranks are lofty, too, with the Audi R8, Acura NSX, Alfa Romeo Giulia, Mercedes SL- and SLC-Class, Porsche 718, and F-150 Raptor. The mainstream entries are just as comprehensive. From the Chrysler Pacifica to the Chevrolet Cruze to the Fiat 124 Spider to the Mitsubishi Mirage, NACTOY has covered an enormous price range with this year's contestants. Of course, these are only the eligible vehicles. They'll need to run through three rounds of judging, starting in September at NACTOY's traditional Hell, MI, test drive. The Canadian and American journalists involved in the judging will announce this year's nine finalists – three in each category – on December 6. Consumer Reports explains its disdain for infotainment
Thu, 20 Mar 2014One of the perks of reviewing all manner of cars and trucks is that we're exposed to all the different infotainment systems. Whether Cadillac's CUE, Chrysler's UConnect, BMW's iDrive or MyFord Touch, we sample each and every infotainment system on the market.
Not surprisingly, some are better than others. It seems consumers have come to a similar consensus, with Consumer Reports claiming that Ford and Lincoln, Cadillac and Honda offer the worst user infotainment experiences. Not surprisingly, you won't find much argument among the Autoblog staff.
Take a look below to see just what it is about the latest batch of infotainment systems that grinds CR's gears. After that, scroll down into Comments and let us know if you agree with the mag's views.
