1950 Ford F1 Pickup Totally Restored - Gorgeous on 2040-cars

Year:1950 Mileage:0
Location:

Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, United States

Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, United States

You are bidding on a freshly restored 1950 Ford Pickup. This is a solid number 2 car that will be a great driver for anyone. With the 350 Chevy engine there is plenty of power to go anywhere. There is less than 300 miles on a freshly rebuilt motor with new peripheral parts. New fuel pump, new water pump, new transmission (350), new breather, new distributor. Nothing was left to chance. Reliable and a pleasure to drive. You have the look of a classic truck with the peace of mind that it will get you there. Use it as a delivery vehicle or just to put your business name on the side as you get looks around town. It is a true head turner. It also has new red oak bed rails around the bed for an extra classic look. There are also new (period correct) Coker wide whitewall tires. Take a look at the photos and you will see how clean the truck is - top and bottom. All of the gauges work as well as the turn signals. I will start the bidding low and set a very reasonable reserve for this quality a vehicle. You would pay 10% more if you purchase at one of the auctions so buy it here and both of us will save money. This is a US auction only and will be offered for local pickup. I will however deliver it free of charge to the Dallas area as I am there every other week. You can see from my feedback that I am a reliable seller. There will be a $500.00 deposit due within three days of the final winning bid and payment is to be within one week. Please email me with any questions on the truck and good luck - the winning bidder is getting a heck of a truck.

Leno chooses his top 10 Mustangs

Sat, 14 Jun 2014

He may be a few months late to the party, but in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang, Jay Leno has delivered a short video in which he runs down which of the Blue Oval's pony cars from the past 50 years are his favorites.
The list is pretty darn similar to our own, with some of the big names from the Mustang's half century making an appearance, while there are three or four cars here that we think you'll be pretty surprised by.
Take a look below for this short video from Jay Leno's Garage.

Michigan museum offers Model T driving classes

Sun, 29 Dec 2013

Halfway between Detroit and Chicago, there is a car museum that gives visitors a unique level of interaction with antique cars. The Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners, MI has a driver's training class to teach people of any age to learn how to drive a Ford Model T.
From the crank starter to the column-mounted throttle control, this driving school teaches people all there is to know about driving and operating a Model T. Each class lasts about two and a half hours and is only open to 18 students. There are ten sessions planned for 2014 - twice a day on May 3, June 22, July 22, August 23 and September 14. The class costs $95 (or $85 for members), and it also includes a tour of the museum's automobile collection.
In addition to this driving school, the museum has plenty of exhibits on the property, and it's open all but three days per year (Easter, Christmas and New Year's Day) with free admission for school field trips and active military. Be sure to check out the Gilmore Car Museum's website or visit them on Facebook for more info.

First retail 2015 Ford Mustang headed to Barrett-Jackson

Fri, 20 Dec 2013

Want to be the very first person to own a 2015 Ford Mustang GT? Here's what you'll need to do: be in Scottsdale, AZ on January 18 for the Barrett-Jackson auction and bring a very big checkbook. Having a passion for charity isn't a bad idea either.
Yes, the first 2015 Mustang to be sold to the public will be crossing the block at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, with proceeds from the auction going to JDRF, the charity formerly known as the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
"Ford Mustangs have always been among the most popular collector cars at Barrett-Jackson Collector Car events," said the president of Barrett-Jackson, Steve Davis. "While every collector wishes they had snapped up the first Mustang sold in 1964, this is an opportunity to realize that dream in a different way."
