Ashland, Virginia, United States

Hey there, you’re looking at my 1947 Ford pickup truck. This is a California rust free example VERY RARE!! I found this truck in Utah a couple years ago and that gentleman purchased it out of California and had owned it several years. Looks to be a professional build based on the quality of the way it’s put together. Every nut and bolt has been touched and it has had a complete frame up build. Looks to have been originally completed in 1999 based on the car show stickers in the cab above the passenger windshield. Condition is still very good driver quality and the truck has been driven 10,600 miles since its build. It is NOT PERFECT and does show some wear so be aware of that. It has been well taken care of and drives so nice!!! The body, bed and tailgate are all original!! No glass or aftermarket sheet metal on this one!! Now the goodies … powered by a 289 Ford; motor is tight, no smoke and awesome oil pressure.  The truck is backed up with a Hughes performance C-4 automatic transmission and a 9in Ford rear. Its geared for cruising, perhaps a 300 ratio? Cruises the highway speeds without any problems!! Built old school with a set of try Y headers, Smitty glass packs, Coker Classics and a retro tach to boot. Mustang Two front end with power disk brakes and power steering. Original frame, boxed in front. Just a nice old truck that gets thumbs up everywhere you go. It has a stainless fuel cell in back of bed and it does have lap belts and a charging jack under the seat for your phone, GPS etc. If you have any questions please feel free to email me or call, I can send any additional pics at your request. It is for sale locally so I can end this auction if I choose. Happy bidding, you will not be disappointed.  My cell is 804-690-6364; ask for Michael, or by email, corvet4us@comcast.net. Winning bidder will be responsible for $1,000.00 deposit and shipping to be arranged by purchaser.  Funds to be sent via wire transfer, certified cashier’s check or cash. Vehicle will not be released until funds are cleared.

Americans will get a four-cylinder Ford Mustang after all? [w/poll]

Sat, 09 Mar 2013

Ask and you shall receive. Remember that previous report suggesting that the 2015 Ford Mustang getting a four-cylinder EcoBoost engine, and that it would be sold in Europe only and not the United States? Well, according to Road & Track, the rumor is only partially true - The Mustang will get the engine, but it is indeed coming to America.
Additionally, according to RT, the 3.7-liter V6 will continue to serve as the base engine, and since it offers up a stout 305 horsepower in its current form, it's likely that the 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost will produce a bit more than that. At the top of the range, the Mustang GT will continue to soldier on with a V8 engine, which should continue to send over 400 horsepower to the rear wheels.
Finally, while we agree 100 percent with RT's heartfelt request for a paddle-shift automatic, we certainly expect that the EcoBoost 'Stang will be offered with a manual transmission as standard equipment. This is a Mustang, after all...

Ford previews new C-Max ahead of upcoming debut

Mon, 15 Sep 2014

Looking at a Ford Focus? These days you can get it as a five-door hatch, a four-door sedan, or... that's all. European buyers don't even get our sedan, but they do get a wagon. And while the three-door hatch, two-door coupe and two-door cabrio have long since ended production, buyers around the world can also get the company's larger C-Max. And now, like the Focus upon which it's based, Ford is preparing to roll out a new version.
The tall wagon (or small minivan, depending on your perspective) is being treated to what Ford says is "an extreme makeover." Details to accompany the teaser image above remain few and far between, but following the spy shots we recently posted, it looks destined for some of the same visual updates as Ford rolled out on the 2015 Focus, with "even more refinement, practicality and technology."
Like the Mercedes B-Class, which is only available Stateside as an EV, American buyers can only get the C-Max in electrified form, either as the C-Max Hybrid or C-Max Energi. Overseas buyers, however, will be able to choose from a range of powertrain options and two wheelbase lengths - the longer of which boasts seven seats and the Grand C-Max name. (Remember when Chrysler did the same with its minivans?) Both are set to debut on September 17, so watch this space. After that, we'll expect to see it on display at the Paris Motor Show.

Ford confirms launch of new Tourneo vans and Ecosport in Europe for Geneva

Sun, 24 Feb 2013

We've already seen plenty of what the Geneva Motor Show will have in store for us in less than two weeks, but most of the confirmed debuts that were announced so far have generally been luxury or performance cars. Ford, on the other hand, will be showing off a couple of its new family-friendly models for European buyers to enjoy.
On the larger side of things, the full range of Tourneo vans (shown above) will be on display, including the introduction of the new Tourneo Courier model, but Ford will also be showing off the all-new EcoSport crossover, which is based on the automaker's Global B platform and will be positioned beneath the Kuga, better known here as the Escape. The subcompact EcoSport was originally unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show last April.
