This is a 1940 ford truck that was hotrodded in the the 50's. Was stored in doors since the 60's. I'm the second owner, I drive this truck to work, (50 miles a day) and as daily driver. Everything works including gauges, temp, oil pressure, voltage and fuel gauges. Oil pressure is always high.

Motor is a 1953 flathead V8 with offenhouser aluminum heads high-rise aluminum intake. Motor is rebuilt and was said to have 200 miles when I purchased it. Has a 1940 3 speed that shifts really nice. Engine will idle forever with no noise or will never over heat, also has 160 thermostats in it.

The bed has never had anything heavy in it (no damages) its as strait as an arrow.

New master cylinder with new wheels cylinders. New wire harness (the original was worn out). The rear end was rebuilt back in the day (I would say in the 70's) and the truck sat.

lots of parts where chromed back in the day, hood was louvered as well.
Has a 4" drop axle.

This truck is 99% RUST FREE, As you see in the pictures, also the picture of the bottom of the door (both sides are like this)

The truck goes down the road perfect, rides real nice and smooth. No squeaks or rattles.

This is a solid California truck.

California title with current registration. .

Stock Miata beats bunch of high-powered cars in wet 1/4-mile drag race

Thu, 06 Jun 2013

When is a stock, 167-horsepower Mazda MX-5 Miata quicker than a Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang, Lamborghini Gallardo, Lotus Elise and a Porsche 911? When it's raining. Sort of.
Mazda Canada arranged a unique drag race to show off the fact that the Miata's optional power retractable folding hardtop can go from top-down to top-up in just 12 seconds flat. In this video, all six cars line up for a drag race, and it starts to rain (well, sort of - but you'll have to watch the video all the way to the end to see what we mean). The green flag is waved, and the timer starts as soon as the convertibles begin to put their tops up. But because the Miata's roof mechanism gets the car's roof back up a full 5.1 seconds quicker than the second-place car, the Mazda gets a serious advantage off the line for the actual drag race.
It's a fun video. And while we've spoiled the results (come on, the video was uploaded by Mazda, you knew the Miata was going to win), be sure to see how it all unfolds, below.

Production Ford Escort heading for Beijing

Wed, 16 Apr 2014

Ford's long-dormant Escort nameplate returned affixed to a sedan concept at last year's Shanghai Motor Show. While not exactly a beauty, it showed a clean, straightforward take on Ford's current styling. The Blue Oval said at the time that it wanted to create a model that was stylish "but not one that is arrogant or pretentious." Job done. A year later, it looks like the minimalist vehicle might make its production debut at the Beijing Motor Show.
Autocar claims that the streetgoing version has been confirmed to it for the upcoming show, but so far, Ford isn't saying. If unveiled, the Escort is likely to be produced locally for the Chinese market with a domestic partner. Powertrain details remain a secret, but it seems highly likely that any production model would use a small three- or four-cylinder engine and front-wheel drive. Sales in other major world markets like ours are unlikely, but a test car was recently spotted in Europe.
Autoblog contacted Ford for confirmation, but the automaker demurred, with a spokesperson saying only, "At the moment, we are not confirming any vehicles planned for the show." It looks like we will have to wait to know for sure.

Ford Focus Electric and ST recalled over lighting issue

Mon, 12 Aug 2013

Ford is recalling 6,308 units of the 2012 and 2013 Focus Electric and 2013 Focus ST that were fitted with HID headlights because a "wiring incompatibility" could keep the front side marker lights from working. A bulletin from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says the recall should begin in the middle of this month, after which owners can take their cars to dealers to have the wiring assembly repaired free of charge.
You can find more information in the NHTSA bulletin posted below.
