I've decided to let it go! I have here my 1935 Ford Pickup. It's a beauty. I drive this everywhere! I have people chase me down and ask to buy it. I have a personal parking spot in front of the local Lowes when i go to buy bags of mulch or 2x4's... It's time to move on. I have a 5 window now to work on which better fits my family. Someone is gonna own a really great truck!

I'll run down what's included.

  • 1935 Henry Ford steel
  • 2001 4.8L Chevy LS motor
  • LS1 intake Manifold
  • ceramic coated headers
  • Flowmaster exhaust
  • 4L60E overdrive trans
  • Hot Rod Air conditioning (just needs finishing)
  • Mustang II front suspension
  • Rack & Pinion steering
  • power disc brakes front & rear
  • ford 8" rearend
  • parallel leaf spring kit
  • air shocks
  • 16" front, 18" rear American Racing Hopster wheels
  • Power windows

  • 1934 commercial headlights, W/ H4 halogen bulbs, integrated turn signals
  • Flaming River Polished Stainless Steel tilt column

There is so much... I'm probably forgetting a bunch. This is a good truck, a driver. I've been over the grapevine three times, I've used it to move, never any problems. It has bits of rust in the typical places, where the fenders meet the cab, the stake pockets... The Fenders are steel, they have dents, and spots where they have been welded, etc. But take it to the local cars shows and prepare to be popular, everyone loves this truck!

Feel free to ask questions. I'll update the posting if I remember anything. I can help arrange shipping. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Thanks for looking

I may be taking it to Hot August Nights in Reno, NV Thurs-Friday... I may end the auction early if it sells there...

Ford opens the doors on its Swedish rally skunkworks

Fri, 19 Sep 2014

It's always amazing to see how different kinds of racecars are made. Formula One racers are often constructed in modern architectural marvels that hint at some of the cutting-edge technology going into the racing. Conversely, rallying is all about sliding around on a varied course as fast as possible, but it often leaves a vehicle caked in mud. So it makes some sense Olsbergs MSE, or simply (OMSE) rally car shop in Nynashamn, Sweden, shows technological sophistication in a more down-to-earth setting. It builds Ford Fiesta ST racers for Global Rallycross there, and this new video gives viewers a tour through the work.
Former rally driver Andreas Eriksson runs OMSE. These days instead of racing, he and the company's 46 employees are building Ford racers from scratch. A ton of work goes into constructing each one, and according to Eriksson, it takes 400 hours to complete each body. At times, things are so busy that some of the technicians live in the shop in apartments that are on premises. There's even a restaurant to keep them fed. Sadly the dyno room is empty during this visit, though.
By the time OMSE is done, a rallycross car might resemble a Fiesta ST on the outside, but as you see in the video, it's a completely different beast underneath. Check out the work it takes to build one of them, and scroll down to read more about it in the official release.

Ford sued over alleged 3.5-liter EcoBoost defects

Thu, 16 May 2013

Three Ford owners from Ohio have filed a lawsuit against the automaker over defects that they allege exist within the company's twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine. Automotive News reports that the lawsuit claims the engine "contained serious latent design, manufacturing, or assembly defects." Those defects, the suit claims, cause the vehicle to shake, misfire and lose power quickly.
Two of the plaintiffs, a married couple, own a 2010 Ford Taurus SHO, and allege they experienced a loss of power and stalling, while the third, an F-150 owner, claims he lost power while accelerating. In addition to the Taurus SHO and F-150, the 3.5-liter V6 EcoBoost engine is also available in the Ford Flex, Explorer Sport and Lincoln MKT and MKS. Other three- and four-cylinder EcoBoost engines are not included in the suit. There have been no recalls associated with 3.5-liter V6 engine, and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is currently not investigating the matter.
The plaintiffs, however, claim Ford has known about the problem, citing several technical service bulletins issued to dealers of the F-150 that suggest possible fixes. Ford had no comment for Automotive News, saying that it's yet to review the lawsuit, which was filed last Friday in Columbus, OH.
