UP FOR AUCTION IS A 1989 FORD MUSTANG LX 5.0 LITER H.O. WITH A 5-SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION WITH A 3.08 POSI REAR AXLE. THE MUSTANG IS IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION AND NEEDS NOTHING. I PURCHASED THE CAR LAST SEPTEMBER AND HAVE DONE QUITE A BIT OF WORK TO BRING IT UP TO "LIKE NEW" CONDITION.
WHEN I PURCHASED THE MUSTANG IT WAS 100 PERCENT STOCK. WHAT I HAVE DONE TO IT WAS NOT TO MAKE IT FASTER JUST TO MAKE IT LOOK, RUN, AND FEEL NEW. I HAVE RETAINED ALL THE STOCK PARTS AND THEY WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE SALE. I ALSO WILL INCLUDE A 5-LAYER WEATHER-PROOF CAR COVER, A BRAND NEW SET OF SPARK PLUG WIRES, AND BRAND NEW BOXED REAR UPPER AND LOWER CONTROL ARMS.
IT HAS A CLEAN CAR FAX WITH NO ACCIDENTS. THE CAR HAS MATCHING VIN #'S ON EVERY PANEL SO NOTHING HAS BEEN REPLACED. THE PICTURES DO NOT DO THIS CAR JUSTICE. I SPARED NO EXPENSE IN THE UPGRADES BECAUSE I WANTED TO KEEP THE CAR BUT A SERIOUS BACK INJURY HAS LEFT ME UNABLE TO DRIVE STICK SHIFT. I DO NOT WANT TO SELL IT BUT I CAN'T LET IT JUST SIT AND DETERIRATE.
IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CAR, JUST EMAIL ME, BUT PLEASE DO NOT ASK FOR THE RESERVE OR HOW MUCH TO END THE AUCTION EARLY. I WILL NOT STOP THE AUCTION UNLESS IT IS SOLD LOCALLY. IF YOU WANT TO COME AND SEE IT IN PERSON, FEEL FREE, I AM AVAILABLE AFTER 5 P.M. EVERY DAY.
THIS IS A NICE ORIGINAL, TIGHT, NEVER ABUSED MUSTANG.

Performance CNG wants to crowdfund natural gas-powered Ford Mustang
Fri, May 16 2014Soliciting investments to develop a street-legal compressed natural gas (CNG) powered Ford Mustang that can deliver 470 horsepower certainly wouldn't make sense on a site called Indiestopstop. Nope, Indiegogo is the more-appropriately-named site that one Michigan entrepreneur is using to try and crowdfund his CNG 'Stang. He's looking to raise $55,000. Michigan's Daryl Patrishkoff and his company Performance CNG LLC showed off their converted 2003 Mustang last year at the Woodward Dream Cruise in Royal Oak, MI in an effort to get some exposure for the car, which can run on both gas and CNG. The company and its three-man team is looking to further develop the project in the name of a fueling source that is 40 percent cheaper than gasoline, throws off as much as 30 percent fewer tailpipe greenhouse gas emissions and makes the country less dependent on foreign oil. Performance CNG estimates that just 120,000 of the world's 15 million CNG-powered vehicles are in the US and is calling for more. As for the $55 grand, Patrishkoff estimates that more than half of that amount would be committed to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) testing of emissions, fuel economy and horsepower. The problem? As of right now, only $150 has been raised. Check out Performance CNG's press release below and see the fundraising effort on Indiegogo here. Eco-Friendly Muscle Car? CNG vehicles save money, emit less pollution and creates jobs from American-mined fuel SHELBY TOWNSHIP, Mich., May 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Daryl Patrishkoff of Shelby Township, MI, has a vision for the American automotive industry. He firmly believes that our fuel of choice should be Compressed Natural Gas (CNG), not gasoline. Until the full CNG infrastructure is in place a Bi-Fuel vehicle, fueled by either CNG or gasoline upon the drivers command, is the bridge vehicle that can lead this transition. Patrishkoff heads up a (3) man technical team developing this technology. The advantages are: 40 percent savings in fuel costs at the pump 25-30 percent reduction in harmful emissions 100 percent US provided natural gas Meaningful employment for the US economy The most important benefit, however, is that a CNG-powered vehicle runs on fuel that can be mined in America, eliminating the need for foreign oil. "After decades of political rhetoric, these types of vehicles can truly lead the US to energy independence," he said.
Black Zombie electric Mustang launches Blood Shed Motors [w/videos]
Thu, Jun 19 2014As patient zero of Blood Shed Motors, the classic pony car has received a powerful electric transplant. Lightning repeatedly vanquished the darkness like the angriest of strobe lights and thunder shook the building, punctuating the clatter of a heavy Texas rain on the metal roof as the clock ticked away the initial seconds of a rare full moon Friday the 13th. It was then that the Black Zombie came to life for the first time. Beneath the hood of this rust-free 1968 Mustang fastback, a 289-cubic-inch V8 no longer turns gasoline into heat, noise and pollution. As patient zero of Blood Shed Motors, the classic pony car has received a powerful electric transplant, and now boasts twinned Warp 11 DC motors and a pair of fresh Zilla controllers that will serve as the basic blueprint for future vehicles. Dubbed the Zombie 222 drivetrain, the setup will be limited to 750 horsepower in customer's cars to keep the maintenance experience low, and eventually will draw power from a 40-kWh battery pack. In this first example, though, the output is bit more extreme. For one day, at least, they have the 1,500-kW-capable pack that powers the record-setting Swamp Rat 37 racer belonging to Don Garlits and a brief window of opportunity to try it out on a track. Blood Shed Motors is the result of a collaboration between NEDRA co-founder John "Plasma Boy" Wayland, the man who helped bring electric vehicle drag racing to the attention of the world with his unassuming White Zombie Datsun 1200 conversion and Austin, TX business man Mitch Medford, who've put together a small team of experts in their chosen fields. The plan is to build a limited number of muscle car conversions on pristine early Mustang, Camaro, and Barracuda platforms. The plan is to build a limited number of high-quality muscle car conversions on pristine (No restored rust buckets!) early Mustang, Camaro, and Barracuda platforms. Each can be customized according to buyer's wishes and blessed with its own serial number. The price tags will be in the eye-watering $200,000-and-up neighborhood, reflective of the cost and rarity of these cars and the custom nature of the alterations. Of course, you can't just multiply horsepower and add the monster torque that these electric motors put out and expect an antique chassis to hold up.
