Custom bodywork created by Allison’s includes a fiberglass hood with functional scoops and extractors, as well as modified side scoops with billet inserts. The exterior was refinished in blue using DuPont paint covered by multiple coats of clear. H4 headlamps and sequential-flashing taillights are fitted, and a custom “Powered by a Supercharged Coyote” badge is affixed to the front grille. The window trim, windows, wiper arms, mirrors, door handles, bumpers, and gas cap were also reportedly refinished or replaced during the build. The side and rear windows are tinted.
Multi-piece 18” True-Forged wheels are mounted with 245/40 front and 275/35 rear BFGoodrich g-Force Comp 2 tires. Wilwood disc brakes feature six-piston calipers up front and four-piston calipers out back, as well as drilled and slotted rotors all around. Adjustable coilovers are mounted at all four corners, and the TCI Engineering front clip includes tubular A-arms, rack-and-pinion steering, and subframe connectors.
Adjustable Sparco sport seats are equipped with four-point Sparco harnesses. A custom eight-point roll cage has also been fitted, and the rear seats were removed. Interior features include power windows, air conditioning, an aluminum Bowler shifter, and a custom center console with cup holders. When open, the driver’s door panel is equipped with a light projector that shines the Mustang logo on the ground.
An Alcantara-wrapped Sparco steering wheel is mounted to a tilting Ididit column and frames Dakota VHX gauges. A multi-function display on the passenger side of the dashboard shows vehicle speed, boost pressure, and engine rpm. A Kenwood CD player is connected to an amplifier, subwoofer, and four speakers.
The trunk was refinished with insulation and carpeting and is equipped with a battery cut-off switch and an Aeromotive fuel cell.
The 5.0-liter Coyote V8 was an “Aluminator” crate engine from Ford Performance and features an aluminum block, aluminum cylinder heads, forged Mahle pistons, Manley H-beam connecting rods, ARP rod bolts, a forged crankshaft, 32 valves, and Boss 302 valve springs. Additional engine-bay equipment includes an aluminum Griffin radiator, electric cooling fan, and Ring Brothers aluminum hood hinges. The engine is fitted with a Whipple supercharger and was reportedly re-tuned in October 2021 by Danbury Competition Engines in Connecticut. Additional service included aligning the supercharger belt, repairing a vacuum leak and an oil line leak, changing the oil, and replacing the spark plugs.

Ford dealers offered discounts on tools to fix aluminum
Mon, 27 Jan 2014With the introduction of the aluminum-bodied 2015 Ford F-150 (and the likely use of aluminum in future Ford products), Ford is looking to help its dealerships reduce costs related to repairing this more labor-intensive material. Automotive News is reporting that Ford dealers with body shops will require an estimated $30,000 to $50,000 in equipment and training to work on aluminum, and to help alleviate the financial burden of the new F-150, Ford has announced a special 20-percent discount on this equipment.
Dealers will be able to save up to $10,000 on tools such as welders, air-filtration systems and rivet guns and to create aluminum-specific work stations. The new F-150 goes on sale in the fourth quarter, and dealers have until October 31 to take advantage of this deal, according to the report.
This 2,000-hp Mustang is in serious need of wheelie bars
Tue, 25 Feb 2014The Ford Mustang on the right is drag racing with the standard technique. The Mustang on the left, driven by David Measell, is using a new "rear bumper only" technique that evidently surprised everyone at the South Georgia Motorsports Park strip - including Measell.
Measell said his outfit just bought the car the week before the event, noting that it has more than 2,000 horsepower. Speaking of his "flying" run, Measell said, "We turned it up to dip on down," by which he meant they turned up the power in order to get his time down. Turns out all that power and all that traction sent the nose straight up into the air almost as soon as the race began.
He told an interviewer afterward that this was his first race in a "regular car" since he normally drives a pro-mod. "I like my wheelie bars," he concluded. You can see how he got there in the video below.
US Air Force Thunderbirds Mustang fetches $400K at auction
Wed, 07 Aug 2013For the last six years, Ford has created a special version of the Mustang with a military aviation theme, and then donated the car to the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) to be auctioned off at the annual AirVenture event, also known as The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration. The money raised goes to the EAA Young Eagles program to inspire the "aviation pioneers of tomorrow," and this year's 2014 Ford Mustang GT US Air Force Thunderbirds Edition was won with a final bid of $398,000.
Celebrating 60 years of the USAF's Thunderbirds, this Mustang GT is the only one of its kind with a paint job matching the Thunderbirds' F-16 Falcon jets and some Ford Racing performance added on for good measure. Including this car, Ford has helped raise around $2.3 million for the charity with the biggest auction price coming from the first year of the program, the F-22 Raptor-inspired Mustang AV8R from 2008, which sold for $500,000.
